Arlene R. (Bobak) Williams, 71, of McKeesport, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017. She was born January 9, 1946 in Turtle Creek, the daughter of the late Rev. Paul and Lillian (Snyder) Bobak and was also preceded in death by her husband of over 43 years Paul W. Williams and brothers Ronald Paul Bobak and Robert Bobak.
 
Arlene was a member of Greater Works Outreach, Monroeville, where she was a part of the GAP ministry and a spiritual mother to many. She was the former host of Cornerstone Ministries Television, At Home With Arlene Williams, and also a co-host of the Signs and Wonders segment of the television show Real Life at CTV. Arlene had a great love for people and was loved by many. She was an avid Pirates fan.

Anthony of Greensburg, Dan Johnson of Liberty Boro, and Dean Johnson of West Newton; her step children Sharon Jacobs of SC, Lori Gutshall of North Huntingdon, Kelly Celsic of Bentleyville, and Amy Gerwing of TX; twenty one grandchildren; a brother Larry Plush of New Baltimore; and her beloved dog Pepper.

Richard D. Sarver, age 100, of North Versailles, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017. He was born May 11, 1917, in Berlin, PA, son of the late Jacob and Sara Ellen (Stevanus) Sarver. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Clara M. (Altfather) Sarver; brothers Edgar, Robert, and Glenn Sarver; and sisters Olive Jones and Vera Deist. He is survived by his sons Lynn (Betsy) Sarver, Larry (Maria) Sarver and Blaine (Lisa) Sarver; grandchildren Jeff Sarver, Michael (Ashley) Sarver, Paul (Kim) Sarver, Lexi (Justin) Coulthurst, Abbey Miller, Arianne (Allan) Ward, Noelle Sarver and Mallory Sarver; and great grandchildren Caleb, Ian, Ryan, Molly, Connor and Emma Sarver, Ethan and Sydney Coulthurst, and Maverick Ward. He was employed by the Union Railroad for 37 years and also a member of the URR chorus.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II and Korea that went on to work in the payroll department of the Post Office in Pittsburgh for over 40 years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW in East McKeesport and the American Legion in White Oak and was an avid bowler that enjoyed events with the Senior Bowlers in North Versailles. He is preceded in death by his parents Francesco A. and Cecelia (Weis) Miriello; and brothers Alfred, Richard, Leonard and Eugene Miriello. He is survived by his wife of over 67 years Dorothea L. (Mitchell) Miriello; children David F. (Suzann) Miriello and Lisa F. (Karl Probola) Miriello; grandson Anton Raphael (Rachel) Miriello; and brothers Raymond and Kenneth (Mary) Miriello.

He worked as a general superintendent for the Dick Corporation. He was a Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Holy Trinty Lutheran Church; Shidle Lodge 601 F & A.M., Bromas Club, AASR, Valley of Pittsburgh Syria Temple, Tall Cedars and enjoyed bowling and golf. Bert is survived by children Russell B. of North Versailles, Brian K. (fiancée Beth) of North Huntingdon and Donnell C. (Tad) Minerva of Jeanette; grandchildren Brian K. II, Brandon K. and Corrine D.; loving companion Mary Shubert and his dog Mia.

Rev. William P. Wood, 83, of North Huntingdon, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday September 6, 2017. He was born December 29, 1933 in McKeesport, a son of the late Emmett and Agnes (Bumbarger) Wood and was also preceded in death by a brother Robert Wood. Bill was a graduate of McKeesport High School and received his bachelor’s degree in Theology from Nyack College, Nyack, NY. He served as a Pastor in Christian & Missionary Alliance Churchs for thirty nine years. He served Somerset Alliance Church from 1959 to 1965, Blairsville Alliance Church from 1965 to 1976 and then served as Director of Development at the Christian & Missionary Alliance, Western Pennsylvania District Office from 1976 to 1984. He served as Pastor of Norwin Alliance Church, North Huntingdon, from 1984 until his retirement in 1999 then served as interim pastor after retirement.

Ilona was a former employee of U.S. Steel Carrie Furnace, and a member of F.O.E. Aerie, 1671, Irwin. She loved her home and enjoyed having family over for Sunday dinners. She also loved her dogs. Surviving are her children Theresa M. (Thomas) Lusher, Edward L. Cole Jr., and Michael T. Cole all of North Huntingdon; her former daughter in law Sara Czolba; her grandchildren Jessica M. Karen E. (Carlson) Samuels, 68, of North Huntingdon died Friday August 25, 2017 at Magee Women’s Hospital after a yearlong battle with cancer. She was born January 19, 1949 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Carl “Red” Carlson and Ann (Magdic) Carlson. She was a retired employee of Verizon, a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin, and a former Red Cross volunteer. She liked to bake, enjoyed walking, and was a big Pirates fan, but most of all she loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. They meant everything to her. Surviving are her husband of forty years George I. Samuels; her children Sean (Lena) Samuels of Irwin and Jennifer (Jamie) Zona of North Huntingdon; her grandchildren Lauren, Ashley, and Reese Zona, Aidan and Liam Samuels and Marisa Duncan; her sisters Barbara Rose of Pittsburgh, and Judy (Marty) Orendt of NC; also a brother-in-law; sisters in law; and nieces and nephews.

She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, North Huntingdon, the Pennsylvania and Westmoreland County Music Teachers Association, and a devoted member of the Victoria Reading Circle where she spent time with many of her most cherished friends. Jill was born August 23, 1965 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Edmond and Jeanne (Sunday) Morse of Turtle Creek. She is also survived by her husband Mark A. Fallone; her son Nicholas, her daughter-in-law Emily Fallone of Forest Hills, daughter Molly C. Fallone of Mt. Neil C. Mance, 55, of Irwin, died Thursday August 17, 2017, peacefully in his sleep at home. He was born December 24, 1961 in Jeannette, a son of the late Thomas V. and Mildred N. (Gongaware) Mance. Neil had over thirty years’ service with the North Huntingdon Township Municipal Authority where he worked as a lab supervisor. He loved to fish which he did on the day he passed and loved camping with his son Andrew. He was a loving grandfather. Neil was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Irwin. Surviving are his children, Sarah J. (Chad) Coughanour of Grapeville and Andrew T. (Melodi) Mance of Jeannette; his grandchildren Rosalyn, Austin, Chase, and Rowan; his brothers Val Mance of Sugarloaf, Dale Mance of Arizona, and Joel Mance of North Huntingdon; also nieces, nephews and cousins.
