John M. Bodnar, 105, formerly of Duquesne, died peacefully Thursday, October 19, 2017, in Southwestern Veterans Hospital, Pittsburgh. Mr. Bodnar was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne, a retired self employed Tavern owner, a proud U. S. Army veteran of WWII, and a former member of the G.B.U. Duquesne. Born December 29, 1911, in Duquesne, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Suhoza Bodnar and the beloved husband of the late Anna Holko Bodnar and the late Anna Hornyak Bodnar. He was also preceded in death by a son John M. Bodnar, Jr., and seven siblings; Andrew, William, Nicholas, Michael, Joseph Bodnar, Ann Drotar, and Margaret Liszka. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Theresa Molnar Stiliha, 89, of Greenacres, Florida, passed on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at Arbor Oaks Assisted Living in Greenacres, Florida. She was lived most of her life in Duquesne, PA.. She was born in Turin, Hungary on March 26, 1928, the daughter of late James Molnar and Julia Molnar. She moved to the United States from Hungary via Ellis Island when she was 9 years old. She graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School in Pittsburgh, PA. in 1946. She worked as a secretary, salesperson, and homemaker in the Pittsburgh area. She was a member of the former St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Duquesne, Pa. for many years. She was involved in many different organizations in her church and community. She loved to bowl and was involved in several bowling leagues besides going to Delaware beaches in the summer. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Nick Stiliha; two daughters, Barbara Allsopp of Smyrna, Delaware, and Gerry Levin of West Palm Beach, Florida; her grandchildren, Ronni Caromano of Wilmington, Delaware, Brent Allsopp of Alexandria, VA, Kaci Rainey of Newark, Delaware, and Julie Levin of North Palm Beach, Florida; great grandchildren, Zoe, Rocky, and Lucy Rainey of Newark, Delaware; siblings, Mary Ann Burns of West Mifflin, Pa and several nieces and nephews.

Daniel M. "Shakey" Mali, 72, of Liberty Boro, died peacefully on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in Riverside Nursing Center, McKeesport. Born January 12, 1945 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Demko) Mali. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Duquesne and Saint Mark Parish, Liberty Boro. Mr. Mali was a former employee of the former Duquesne Works, U.S. Steel Corporation and was a retired employee of the Veterans Hospital, Highland Drive, Pittsburgh. Danny was a proud U. S. Marine Veteran, having served in Cuba, Santa Domingo, and two tours in Vietnam, He was a Purple Heart recipient. He also volunteered at Mount St. Macrina, and SS. Peter and Paul Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann (Kebles) Mali, a sister, Mildred M. Dorko, formerly of Munhall, two sisters-in-law, Deborah Kebles and Wendy Hoak, both of McKeesport, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born May 15, 1937, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Nicolene (Vendetti) DePaolo. Beloved wife of the late Jacob T. Bradich, she is survived by a son, Jacob T. Bradich II of West Mifflin, a brother, Anthony DePaolo of Grafton, Ohio, and a sister, Josephine Tortorella of Dormont. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Victoria Bradich and a sister, Norma Kester.

Mrs. Kovacs was a member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, McKeesport. the Holy Trinity Kolo of Duquesne, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Duquesne Chapter. She was also a retired employee of Penn - Taft Pharmacy, West Mifflin. She was the beloved wife of the late Zoltan E. Kovacs. She is survived by two loving daughters, Alexis (Bill) Nestor and Monica (Tom Morgan) Kovacs; four grandchildren, Dan (Tracy) Ford, William Ford, Julian Horta Kovacs and Christian Horta Kovacs; three great grandchildren, Rowan, Ripley and Ryan Ford; and nieces and nephews.

Beloved husband of 62 years of Margaret "Midge" Mihailoff Stanoszek. John A. (Zedo) Suchta, 93, of West Mifflin died peacefully Sunday. June 4, 2017, in UPMC Shadyside. Born in Duquesne, May 30, 1924, he was the son of the Late George and Elizabeth (Torchak) Suchta. Mr. Suchta was a member and usher of Resurrection Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin, The Parish Men's Club, a Retired Craneman of the former U.S. Steel Corporation, Duquesne Works, former Grievance Officer of the Steelworker's Union and a proud Veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corp. Mr. Suchta was an avid Pittsburgh Sports Fan, loving his Pirates, Steelers, Pens and Panthers.
Beloved husband of the Late Dorothy (Perhac) Suchta. He is survived by his loving children, Raymond (Joan) Suchta of Peters Twp., Lawrence Suchta of West Mifflin, Kathleen (Patrick) Sullivan of West Norriton, PA, and Christine Matelan (James Ciamacco) of Pittsburgh, and two sisters, Helen Gambal and Pauline Perhac; special "Zedo" to six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Michael J. Cvejkus, 91, a lifelong resident of Duquesne was embraced by God in the early morning of April 24, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born in Duquesne on February 25, 1926 to the late Michael and Helen (Koval) Cvejkus and was predeceased by his loving wife Bess (Pakan), beloved daughter Arlene Pastrick and two sisters, Mary Perun and Anna Mae Ondechek. Michael was an English teacher in the Duquesne school system for 35 years, President of the Duquesne Teacher’s Association and a proud member of the PSEA & NEA.
