Brian was raised in Pittsburgh and attended Liberty Elementary where he was a Boy Scout, Frick International Studies Academy where he spoke Spanish as a second language and played the Oboe in the Pittsburgh Public Schools Orchestra, then graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School in 2002 where he was on the Robotics Team and participated in the First Competition in Orlando, Florida. Brian was #56 on the Taylor Allderdice Football Team and played in both the City and State Championship games.

Cheryl Lynn Clawson, 57, of Bunola, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 at home. She was born March 24, 1963 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Charles R. and JoAnne (Matz) Clawson. She is survived by her sister, Jackie (Stephen) Slinski of McKeesport, brothers, Richard (Cindy) Clawson of West Jefferson Hills, and Robert J. (Beth Ann) Clawson and Charles D. Thomas J. Eddy, 95, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 11, 1924 in Republic and was the son of the late Samuel G. and Minnie (Obertots) Eddy. He was a member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Township, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Versailles Croatian Club. He graduated from McKeesport High School in 1942 and served in the Navy during WWII. He graduated from the Sonar Training Station in Key West, FL, and earned a second class petty officer rating as a Sonar Man. He served on the USS Bates at Normandy, Iwo Jima, and survived the ship's sinking at Okinawa. He was active in Sports with the Crimson and 3rd Ward Bulldog football teams, several softball clubs and as a McKeesport Umpire's Association umpire. He retired from US Steel Duquesne Works in 1984. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Regosh) Eddy. They were married in St. Peter and Paul Church in Duquesne and enjoyed 72 years of happiness together in a wonderful marriage.

She was born March 27, 1944 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Albert Lancaster and Bertha (Derr) Lancaster Thomas. She was a member of Kephart United Methodist Church in McKeesport and had worked for the former G.C. Murphy Co. Warehouse in Christy Park and the former Isaly's in Southland and White Oak. It was not unusual for Margaret to call with prayer requests. She loved to spend time on the phone, praying with her prayer partners. Margaret had her own card ministry.

Andrew "Andy" Zobel, 96, of North Versailles, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020. He was born April 6, 1924 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Joe "Gusieppi" and Giovanina (DeRose) Zobel. He was a 1942 graduate of McKeesport High School and was proprietor of the former Zobel's Grill in Christy Park. He was also retired from the John Groves Company. Andrew served in the US Army during WWII and was a POW in Germany from September 25, 1944 to July 17, 1945. For his service he received the Good Conduct Medal, the American Theater Medal, and the European-African-Middle Eastern Medal with 3 Bronze Stars.
