James McClelland “Jimmy” M. Lucas

James "Jimmy" McCelland Lucas, age 61, of Estill Springs, Tenn., departed this life on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

James, affectionately called Jimmy, was born in McKeesport, Pa., to Joseph and Suzanne Murga Lucas on May, 22, 1958. He previously was a resident of Liberty Borough, Pa.

Jimmy is the beloved baby brother of nine adoring sisters. Jimmy enlisted in the United States Air Force in October of 1979. He is a decorated airman with numerous awards that include the Joint Service Achievement Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Force Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters and a Meritorious Service Medal with one Oak Leaf Clusters. He retired after 22 years of honorable service.

Upon retirement, Jimmy worked another 18 years for Arnold Air Force Base.

Patrick Joseph Carney, 58 of Greensburg passed away January 21, 2020 at his home.  He was born May 31, 1961 in Pittsburgh, son of Terrance and the late Carole Winter Carney.  Patrick was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He was employed in the construction industry by Savasta Construction, Biloxi, Mississippi.   In addition to his father he is survived by three brothers, Terrance (Tina) Carney, John Carney and Timothy Carney and two sisters, Patricia Aikins and Christine Radziwon (James) and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  Services will be private.  Arrangements by James W. Born February 26, 1954 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late William and Mildred (Adamo) Humphrey. She is survived by her companion of 28 years, David E. Mary Lisa (Malinowski) Holzwarth age 55, of West Mifflin, on January 19, 2020, at home.  Born in McKeesport, she was the daughter of Florence Husfelt of West Mifflin and the late Leonard J. Malinowski.  She was a homemaker, was creative with crafts and displayed for Home Interiors and liked to play cards.  She was a 32-year survivor as a heart transplant recipient, one of the longest on record, which occurred on Sept. 30, 1987 and was celebrated as her second birthday.  The need for a new heart was caused by postpartum cardiomyopathy.  She was the wife of John A. Holzwarth of West Mifflin; mother of Anthony James (Michele) Holzwarth of West Mifflin; grandmother of McKenna Holzwarth & Zander Holzwarth; sister of Mark (Kimberly) Malinowski of West Mifflin, Leonard J. Malinowski of White Oak and Robert (Meghan) Husfelt of Pleasant Hills; Aunt of Mark Malinowski Jr., Ashley Malinowski, Vanessa, Valerie, Victoria Malinowski, Haley & Jenna Husfelt, Shannon McGinley & Patrick McGinley.  Visitation will be held on Wed. from 6-8 p.m. and Thurs. from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, where a blessing service will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Church, West Mifflin, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ella "Louise" Alred Wilson

Ella "Louise" Alred Wilson, 87, of McKeesport departed this life peacefully at home on Thursday, January 16, 2020.  

She was born September 19, 1932, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Milo and Ida Mae Alred.  She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of over 60 years, Wilbert A. Wilson, Sr. and three daughters, Toni R. Wilson, Rhonda J. Wilson Leggett, and Kimberlee L. Wilson.

Louise graduated from Westinghouse High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  She worked as a Mortician Assistant/Receptionist for Charles W. Newman Funeral Home for over 30 years.  She also worked at the National Steelworker's Oldtimers Foundation (NSOF) as a Caregiver, and Arts & Crafts Director. Louise was a long-time member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church, where she served in a number of auxiliaries, such as Silver Leaf Club, Eastern Stars & many others. She later transferred her church membership to Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she enjoyed worshipping. 

Louise loved to help people, she always had a beautiful smile and a kind word for everyone she met. She was loved by many and will truly be missed. 

Surviving are her children,  Rev. Wilbert "Woody" A. (Rev. Karin) Wilson, Jr. of White Oak; Kevin R. Wilson of Pittsburgh; Lisa M. (Eugene) Kelley of McKeesport; grandchildren she raised, Aerika (Karl) Callaway of Monroeville; Caleb Leggett; and Clifton (Sherell) Leggett of McKeesport; 13 additional grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many, many friends.

John Daniel Bonga of Duquesne, a resident of Juniper Village in Forest Hills, age 98, on Sunday, January 19, 2020. He was the first American child born to Andrew and Anna (Rinyik) on December 30, 1921 in Rankin.

Beloved husband of the late Mildred (Tankosic) Bonga. Loving father of Dan (Nancy) Bonga, David (Monika) Bonga and Nikki (Tom) Stoner. Dearest grandfather (Pap Pap) of Dr. Lily Bonga and Jonathan Bonga; Nathan Stoner and Sally (Stephen) Paul; and the late Amanda Lyn Bonga.

Proud great-grandfather of McCarthy Rae Poljak and Everett Paul. John also was the beloved fiancé of Magdalene “Madge” Seman.

John was a 44-year employee of Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh. Although he rarely spoke of his military service, John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II as a sergeant with the 338th Infantry Regiment combat Team in North Africa and Italy. He was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorious achievement in ground combat.

John was a lifetime member of St. Michael the Archangel Orthodox Church in Rankin and the White Oak American Legion.

She was born July 19, 1951 in McKeesport, Pa., a daughter of the late Joseph and Dolores Emert Senko. Deborah attended St. Stephens Church in North Huntingdon. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed crafts, jewelry making , cooking and music. She is survived by her beloved husband Daniel Vasko, two sons, Adam Vasko (Tina) and Matthew Vasko. A Divine Liturgy will be held Saturday, February 1  at 5:00 p.m. at St. Stephens Byzantine Catholic Church, North Huntingdon. George  J. Rocknage,  93, of McKeesport, PA, formerly of Steubenville, OH, passed away at home on Sunday, January 19, 2020. He was born May 23, 1926 in Steubenville and was the son of the late James (Dmitar) Rocknage and Helen (nee Rokos) Rocknage. He was the husband of the late Mika (Reznicak) Rocknage. George was a life long member of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church in Steubenville , and served as an officer of the church for many years; as well as a charter member of the Petar Krstich Choir and the Holy Resurrection Men's Club. The past 6 years, George was a devout member of the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in McKeesport, beloved by all! He was also a life-long accomplished bowler. George worked in many varied fields, from working as a general laborer for Starvaggi Coal, and as a Water Engineer for the Jefferson County Water Department; also was a long-time custodian for the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church.
