Alice M. (Steiniweg) Waltonbaugh, age 80, of West Elizabeth, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at home. She retired as a supervisor at Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was a member of Elrama United Methodist Church. She loved playing cards at the Senior Citizens Center in West Newton and enjoyed her weekly lunches with the ladies from church. Born October 29, 1940 in Elizabeth, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Florence (Bedsworth) Steiniweg and wife of the late Allan J. "Nook" Waltonbaugh. She is survived by sister, Grace (Joe) Oliver of New Eagle; brother, Harold (Carol) Steiniweg of Petersburg, VA; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Betty McDevitt. No visitation or services are planned. Burial is in West Newton Cemetery. Mabel Bernice Greene Bookert, 98, passed away peacefully on January 20th 2021. Born in Wilmington, North Carolina on November 21st, 1922 to the late John Wesley Greene and Minnie Hill Greene. Mabel was a devoted wife to the late Dr. Charles C. Bookert, mother to Dr. Lisa M. Bookert Cross, mother-in law to Douglas K. Cross and grandmother to Kenny Cross, Neville Cross and Blair Cross. She attended Fisk University and was a graduate with a BA degree from the School of Education at The University of Pittsburgh.

Mabel married her high school sweetheart, Dr. Charles C Bookert in Clairton, Pennsylvania. In the early days, Mabel worked alongside her husband to promote and support his private Medical Practice.

She was a pillar of her community in Clairton and the Pittsburgh area. Mabel was a member of First AME Church, Clairton, PA. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Links.  She was on the International Poetry Forum Advisory Board, and Women’s Auxiliary to McKeesport Academy of Medicine.  Mabel served on the United Way Allocations Committee, the board of the McKeesport Cancer Society, Family and Children’s Service of Pittsburgh, The National Board for Family Service of America and was a major donor and supporter for the Black Heritage Swimming Championships.

Apostle Lynne Marie Randolph, 52, was born in McKeesport, PA.  She was the beloved daughter of Raymond and Wilhelmina (Giles) Carter. Lynne entered the world on June 29, 1968, and departed this life on May 17, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Raymond, Jerome, Paul, and Brian Carter.

Lynne graduated from McKeesport High School in 1986. She received an associate degree in Computer Technology. She was extremely outgoing. She loved to sing and dance. She loved being with her family. Lynne installed in her children that family sticking together is important. She also loved fashion yet hated wearing pants. She could turn a tablecloth into a dress. “True Fashionista.”

Apostle Lynne Randolph was the founder of Speak Life International Ministries for over 10 years. She was a woman after God’s heart. She loved preaching the word of God; winning souls was her passion. If you ever needed a listening ear, prayer, clothes, and food; she would literally give you her last. Her soul was kind, and she had a pure heart. Lynne walked gracefully and the presence of God was always with her. She touched the lives of so many people. She made an everlasting imprint on everyone she met.

Allison S. (Peacock) Sunder, 93, of North Versailles, passed away Monday May 24, 2021 at Kane Community Living Center, McKeesport. She was born April 9, 1928 in Turtle Creek, a daughter of the late John B. and Caroline N. (Hardy) Peacock and was also preceded in death by her husband of over 73 years Eugene J. Sunder, her infant brother William Peacock, and siblings John Peacock, Elizabeth Johnson, and William J. Peacock. Allison was a lifelong member of Holy Spirit Praise and Fellowship Center, Wilmerding.

She loved taking pictures and making calendars for the church using photos of the year’s events, and during Easter making baskets for the children at the church. She worked as a nurse graduating from Columbia Hospital School of Nursing in 1948. During her nursing career she worked at Columbia and at West Penn Hospital until her retirement.

Robin departed this life on May 14, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Ronald Russell of Minnesota.

Robin was a 1978 graduate of McKeesport Area Senior High School.  She graduated with the highest of honors, and was a member of the Who’s Who High School Student Honor Society and studied Math and French.

Following high school, she attended the Community College of Allegheny County and continued to devote her time towards the greater good of mankind by being an avid supporter of many charitable causes and contributing to both local and national organizations.

Jered JaRod Gambrill, 21, departed this life on May 22, 2021, he was born in McKeesport, PA on May 18, 2000 to Donita (Muffin) Gambrill and Dominique (Nick) Townsend. Jered was an adorable baby, full of laughter, joy and an infectious smile that melted the hearts of everyone that came in contact with him. As a young boy Jered attended Calvary United Methodist church in McKeesport. He was a kind, tender hearted and funny young man. He never had many words, except when he was in the presence of his Gram, whom he was very close to. The joy of his life was his precious baby boy Carter.

Jered attended Propel Charter Schools where he graduated in 2018. He attended California University where he was pursuing a general studies degree. He was a very skilled basketball player and was part of an adult basketball league. He enjoyed the sport immensely; he not only had a heart for the sport but he also had a heart for his coach Zack Barker who showed love and kindness towards him. He had a flair for fashion, loved to dance and a serious shoe game. His favorite colors were yellow, blue and white.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Samantha Jordan of Smock, Danielle Haas of McKeesport, Joey Jordan of McKeesport, Justin Jordan of McKeesport, Anastasia Jordan of McKeesport, Shannon Rowland of McKeesport, Kaylynn Jordan of Chambersburg, Nate Jordan of Carnegie, Zach Jordan of Pittsburgh, and Dominic Jordan Jr., of South Carolina, Hailey Jordan of South Carolina, and Destiny Jordan, of South Carolina, siblings Robert Emerick, of Fairhope, PA, Wayne Emerick, of Hyndman, PA, Ernest Emerick, of Fairhope, PA, Betty Lou Clites, of Hyndman, PA, Pauline Moore, of Hyndman, PA, and June Emerick, of Florida, as well as a multitude of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Merle, George, John, Jim, and Sharon, as well as her sons Joe and John Jordan, and her grandson Josh Jordan. As a child, Wilma was the first of the family's generations to learn german/english and enjoyed playing on the family farm. She also enjoyed swimming at the waterfall by the train tunnel, where she and her siblings would take turns jumping on and off the trains going up the mountain! She was an amazing mother and grandmother who loved her family very much. Wilma was nothing short of a blessing. She was that and more- no matter where she was or who she was with, she always made others smile and laugh. You could call her at any time of the day, and she would have an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on. Her hugs could make the world stop turning. She was kind, quiet, and never raised her voice. She enjoyed watching The Brady Bunch, Alice, and The Nanny. She enjoyed music, and specifically enjoyed the music of Foreigner. She also enjoyed reading her Bible. Her greatest accomplishment was being a mother as well as her faith. She was known for her sweet disposition and wonderful sense of humor. She will be missed beyond measure- may she fly with the butterflies! Arrangements have been entrusted to S.M. Finney Funeral Home.
