Mary E. Schreck, age 86, of Clairton, passed away August 24, 2022 at The Willows At Meadow Branch, Winchester VA.  Daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Schreck and sister of the late Barbara Barrett.  Loving aunt of Roy and his wife Carolyn, and Joe and his wife Linda, great-aunt of Mary, Sean, Brian and Shannon.  Mary was a school nurse for the Clairton School District for 35 years.  She enjoyed being with family and friends, traveling, musicals, crocheting and sewing.  She was a lifetime member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association, National Education Association and AARP Wilson Chapter #1612.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

John Joseph “Jack” Rahaw

On September 2, 2022, God called Home his faithful servant and son, John Joseph “Jack” Rahaw, 87, of Manassas, VA.  Born October 11, 1934, in East Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late John and Ann (Salatney) Rahaw and the husband of the late Genevieve Michelle (Yasofsky) Rahaw for more than 50 years. 
Jack retired from Georator Corporation after 35 years as an electrical engineer, during which time he helped develop the electrical grid for the country of Bahrain.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving six years in both the United States and (West) Germany as a field artilleryman in the 3rd Infantry Division.  Jack was also an alumnus of Carnegie Mellon University. Jack will forever be remembered for his unending generosity, his complete and total faith in God, his kind and loving nature and his gift of extreme intelligence.  He will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

Joseph D. Valente, age 81, of New Eagle, formerly of Deep Creek, MD, Duquesne, and Munhall, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at home. Son of the late Daniel and Helen Valente, he was born in Homestead, on June 10, 1941. He was a retired Union Carpenter, a classic car enthusiast, an accomplished bowler with a 300 game, and a card player. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was the husband of the late Mary Karen (Weber) Valente. He is survived by his dogs, Sophie and Sadie; brothers and sisters-in law, Allan J. (Karen) Weber of West Mifflin, Louis (Debbie) Weber of West Mifflin, Don (Kathy) Weber of West Mifflin and Greg (Lynn) Weber of West Mifflin; nieces and nephews, Dana, Louis, Donald, Brian, Kalie and Mike; cousin, Kathleen Lucerne Rich of Florida; and life-long friends, Cliff, Lori, Danielle & his godson Cliff Grierson, Jimmy Babbi Family and Gaspare Porco Family. Barbara A. Balint, age 81, of McKeesport, died September 8, 2022, at home. Born May 14, 1941, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Veronica (Waldo) Polanowski and the wife of the late Raymond A. Balint for 58 years.
Barbara worked at Bell Telephone Company as a keypunch operator until she started her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church. She enjoyed attending bingo, although her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.

Duane J. Kutchak, 88, of Liberty Boro, formerly of Birmingham, Alabama, died Sept. 9, 2022.  He is the son of the late John and Margaret (Spernock) Kutchak and beloved husband of the late Coreen (Collins) Kutchak.  He is survived by his children Lynda (Vance) Sedlar, Wayne (Julie) Kutchak, Sondra (Ted) David, Vince (Terri) Kutchak and David Kutchak; grandchildren William Sedlar, Wayne Kutchak, Kristin Dubois, and Chandler Kutchak; great grandchildren Lyric Fulcomer and Caden and Noah Dubois; and sister Loretta (John) Yablonsky.  He was preceded in death by his sister Gerry Dankovich.  Duane was retired from US Steel and served in the US Army.  Funeral arrangements by Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport.

E. Richard Kolesar, age 90, of East McKeesport, died September 4, 2022, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. Born June 25, 1932, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Michael and Susan (Hudak) Kolesar and husband of the late Rita Yvonne Kolesar for over 55 years.
Richard retired from Southwestern Pennsylvania Regional Planning Commission (now the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission) as a Senior Traffic Engineer. He served in the United States Army during periods of the Korean and Vietnam wars, in both active and reserve status, with recognition of the National Defense Service Medal. Richard's military rank was First Lieutenant in the Field Artillery Branch. Throughout his life, he lived Army Strong and was a Soldier for Life. Richard was a McKeesport High School graduate and earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Duquesne University, graduating in 1954. He was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish. In his free time, Richard enjoyed reading and collecting books, especially on the subject of history. He enjoyed animals, wildlife, hiking, and the mountains. His family finds peace in knowing he is now reunited with his beloved wife, Rita, and his savior Jesus Christ.

Epler.  Helen was a member of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish and the Holy Trinity Senior Group.  She worked as a cashier at the Victor Theatre in McKeesport and J&L Steel, inspecting bombs that were sent overseas during World War II.

Dolores retired from H.L. Green and was a member of the United Christian Temple of Uniontown, PA. Dolores took great pride and loved caring for all of her grandchildren. As of late, she enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel and Game Show Network.

She was born in McKeesport on February 15th, 1959, to the late Samuel Sr. and Audrey Whyel Inks. Audrey was the loving wife of 42 years to Daniel J. Toth. She is survived by her husband Daniel J. Toth of Clairton, son Nathan D. Toth of Clairton, sisters Ruth Peterson of Clairton, Ramona (Perry) Ohm of Clairton, Tammy (Timothy) Garrity of Erie, brothers Carl (Joyce) Inks of Glassport, Samuel Inks Jr. of Jefferson, grandchild Liam Toth, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and her two wonderful German shepherds Jesse and Ace. Audrey was preceded in death by her father Samuel Inks Sr., her mother Audrey Whyel Inks, her son Adam (Krystal) Toth, and her sister Linda Inks Alcorn. She was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed gardening and going out on the boat. Audrey was also keen at shopping and an avid animal lover. Family and friends will be received on Friday September 9th, from 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. – 8 P.M. at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. She was born August 25, 1935 in Morrisville, PA and was the daughter of the late George and Susann (Jedlocki) Majoros. She was the wife of Frank A. Naspinsky for over 40 years before he passed away in March of 2001. She was hardworking, loving, and  devoted her time to taking care of her husband and the house before his passing. Jean was a long time member of the Free Hungarian Reform Church in McKeesport. She also adopted many animals through the years and treated them as if they were her own children.

In her 94th year, Dorothy (Krajack) Klasnic, age 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 under Amedisys Hospice Care at Arden Courts Jefferson Hills.  Born on March 11, 1928 to Croatian immigrants, the late Mijo and Dora (Kralj) Krajac, Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Port Vue where she and her late husband John (Bones) Klasnic enjoyed 63 years of marriage.  Dorothy was a great baker and passed down her recipes with personal guidance to her family.  A member of Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge No.3 in McKeesport, she was proud of her Croatian heritage. she was also a member of the Port Vue Senior Citizen’s and St. Mark’s Parish.  Dorothy is survived by a loving and grateful daughter Debra Klasnic Wesolowski (Mark) of Jefferson Hills, granddaughter Julia Wesolowski Kysela (Daniel) of South Fayette and great granddaughter Katherine Kysela. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.  Dorothy was the last of her family and was preceded in death by siblings Joseph Krajack, Michael Krajack, Rose Krajack Medic and George Krajack who will surely welcome her home.  Special thanks to the staff and administration at Arden Courts for their remarkable personal care and many acts of kindness.

 Kathleen Ellen Larkin (Qualters), 73, of West Mifflin, passed away September 6, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Martin and Dorothy Qualters on October 31, 1948. Kathy graduated from Duquesne High School in 1966. She was married to her devoted husband of 51 years, Stephen W. Larkin who dedicated the past 6 years tirelessly caring for her around the clock. She is survived by her brother, Richard (Maggie) Qualters, two children, Stephen (Erica) Larkin and Natalie (Timothy) Llewellyn as well as two cherished grandchildren, Weston Larkin and Jack Llewellyn. Everyone who had the joy to know her, knew what a special, kind, thoughtful and amazing woman she was in life. Jimmie Lee Wills, 80, of Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Murrysville Health and Wellness Center, Murrysville. He was born March 13, 1942 in West Unity, OH, a son of the late Raymond and Eva Jane (Gorsuch) Wills. Prior to his retirement, Jimmie Lee was a school photographer with Lifetouch National School Studios for Western PA and Northern West Virginia. He was a member of Calvary Chapel, Greensburg and attended American High School in Frankfurt, Germany and graduated from West Unity High School in Ohio and later received his Bachelors of Arts Degree from Michigan State. Jimmie was a US Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War.  He enjoyed hunting and was a Ham radio operator. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Ochoa. He is survived by his wife, Diane (Overfield) Wills; sons, Forest James (Maria) Wills, Joseph (Courtney) Brugnoli; daughters, Misti Brooke Wills, Tara Lee (Gerard) Slifkey; brother, David (Barbara) Wills; grandchildren, Evan Detwiler, Aslan, Giovanni, Parker, Oliver and Xavier Wills, Logan and Tyler Brugnoli, Gabrielle, Trinity, Genevieve Wills and Brooklyn Brugnoli.
