 Sherry L. Sutton, 68, of McKeesport, died Sept. 11, 2022.  She is the daughter of the late Merle and Dolores (Ardinger) Easton.  She is survived by her husband David Sutton; daughters LeAnne (Andrew) Papson and Jennifer (James) Morabeto; grandchildren Dylan, Brendon, Dakotah, Connor and Finley; step son Sonny (Niki) Lewis; sisters Linda Moranelli, Sandra Hasso and Jean Ann Dausey; also nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her son Jonathon Lewis and brother Gary Easton.  Sherry was a member of the Glassport United Methodist Church.  Friends received at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Wed. from 2 to 8.  A funeral service will be held Thurs. 11:00 am at the funeral home.  Interment following Jefferson Memorial Park.

Clara Mae (Hobaugh) Janicki, age 87, of Blaine Hill and formerly of Port Orange, FL, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at home. She was a member and former deacon assistant at the Elizabeth Baptist Church and a former associate member at the New Hope Baptist Church in Port Orange, FL. She was a member of the choir at both churches, enjoyed gardening and cooking and was famous for her cabbage rolls. Her family and friends often referred to her as a Prayer Warrior. Born January 4, 1935 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Clarence H. and Mary (Kadar) Hobaugh. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Alfred Janicki; children, Daryl (Cathy) Janicki of Lake Frederick, VA, Debra Bender of Delmont, Mark (Susan) Janicki of Lockhart, TX and Lisa Janicki of Blaine Hill; grandchildren, Eric Janicki, Jason (Olga) Janicki, Nadia (Timothy) Speney, Miranda (Sean) Floor, Chad (Samantha) Bender, Rebecca (Jesse) Janicki, David Janicki and Michelle Janicki; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, George Hobaugh of Bunola and Allen Hobaugh of Elizabeth; her cat, Graycie; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph Hobaugh and Clarence Hobaugh, Jr. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth, on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jude Urso officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. She was born March 6, 1936 in Homestead and was the daughter of the late Orville  Fredrick and Dorothy Marie (Schmidt) Herchelroth. She was the wife of the late of  Harry Wayne Cochran who passed away May 21, 2004 . Joan was a member of Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church in  Elizabeth Township. She enjoyed quilting, needlepoint, ceramics, cake decorating and stained glass. She had previously worked at the Consolidated Coal Co.

Schreck, age 86, of Clairton, passed away August 24, 2022 at The Willows At Meadow Branch, Winchester VA.  Daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Schreck and sister of the late Barbara Barrett.  Loving aunt of Roy and his wife Carolyn, and Joe and his wife Linda, great-aunt of Mary, Sean, Brian and Shannon.  Mary was a school nurse for the Clairton School District for 35 years.  She enjoyed being with family and friends, traveling, musicals, crocheting and sewing.  She was a lifetime member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association, National Education Association and AARP Wilson Chapter #1612.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

John Joseph “Jack” Rahaw

On September 2, 2022, God called Home his faithful servant and son, John Joseph “Jack” Rahaw, 87, of Manassas, VA.  Born October 11, 1934, in East Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late John and Ann (Salatney) Rahaw and the husband of the late Genevieve Michelle (Yasofsky) Rahaw for more than 50 years. 
Jack retired from Georator Corporation after 35 years as an electrical engineer, during which time he helped develop the electrical grid for the country of Bahrain.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving six years in both the United States and (West) Germany as a field artilleryman in the 3rd Infantry Division.  Jack was also an alumnus of Carnegie Mellon University. Jack will forever be remembered for his unending generosity, his complete and total faith in God, his kind and loving nature and his gift of extreme intelligence.  He will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

Son of the late Daniel and Helen Valente, he was born in Homestead, on June 10, 1941. He was a retired Union Carpenter, a classic car enthusiast, an accomplished bowler with a 300 game, and a card player. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was the husband of the late Mary Karen (Weber) Valente. He is survived by his dogs, Sophie and Sadie; brothers and sisters-in law, Allan J. Barbara worked at Bell Telephone Company as a keypunch operator until she started her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church. She enjoyed attending bingo, although her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family.

Kutchak, 88, of Liberty Boro, formerly of Birmingham, Alabama, died Sept. 9, 2022.  He is the son of the late John and Margaret (Spernock) Kutchak and beloved husband of the late Coreen (Collins) Kutchak.  He is survived by his children Lynda (Vance) Sedlar, Wayne (Julie) Kutchak, Sondra (Ted) David, Vince (Terri) Kutchak and David Kutchak; grandchildren William Sedlar, Wayne Kutchak, Kristin Dubois, and Chandler Kutchak; great grandchildren Lyric Fulcomer and Caden and Noah Dubois; and sister Loretta (John) Yablonsky.  He was preceded in death by his sister Gerry Dankovich.  Duane was retired from US Steel and served in the US Army.  Funeral arrangements by Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport.

E. Richard Kolesar, age 90, of East McKeesport, died September 4, 2022, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. Born June 25, 1932, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Michael and Susan (Hudak) Kolesar and husband of the late Rita Yvonne Kolesar for over 55 years.
Richard retired from Southwestern Pennsylvania Regional Planning Commission (now the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission) as a Senior Traffic Engineer. He served in the United States Army during periods of the Korean and Vietnam wars, in both active and reserve status, with recognition of the National Defense Service Medal. Richard's military rank was First Lieutenant in the Field Artillery Branch. Throughout his life, he lived Army Strong and was a Soldier for Life. Richard was a McKeesport High School graduate and earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Duquesne University, graduating in 1954. He was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish. In his free time, Richard enjoyed reading and collecting books, especially on the subject of history. He enjoyed animals, wildlife, hiking, and the mountains. His family finds peace in knowing he is now reunited with his beloved wife, Rita, and his savior Jesus Christ.

Epler.  Helen was a member of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish and the Holy Trinity Senior Group.  She worked as a cashier at the Victor Theatre in McKeesport and J&L Steel, inspecting bombs that were sent overseas during World War II.

Toth of Clairton, sisters Ruth Peterson of Clairton, Ramona (Perry) Ohm of Clairton, Tammy (Timothy) Garrity of Erie, brothers Carl (Joyce) Inks of Glassport, Samuel Inks Jr. of Jefferson, grandchild Liam Toth, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and her two wonderful German shepherds Jesse and Ace. Audrey was preceded in death by her father Samuel Inks Sr., her mother Audrey Whyel Inks, her son Adam (Krystal) Toth, and her sister Linda Inks Alcorn. She was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed gardening and going out on the boat. Audrey was also keen at shopping and an avid animal lover. She was born August 25, 1935 in Morrisville, PA and was the daughter of the late George and Susann (Jedlocki) Majoros. She was the wife of Frank A. Naspinsky for over 40 years before he passed away in March of 2001. She was hardworking, loving, and  devoted her time to taking care of her husband and the house before his passing. Jean was a long time member of the Free Hungarian Reform Church in McKeesport. She also adopted many animals through the years and treated them as if they were her own children.
