Mark J. Tubbs, age 63 of Yorktown, Virginia and Rillton, Pa  died November 19,2020 at his home. He was born March 3, 1957 in Braddock, Pa., a son of Shirley Tubbs and stepson of Michael J. Naughton. He was employed by Blue Water Energy.  Mark was a member of the Queen of Rosary Church in Glassport. He was a world traveler who enjoyed nature, was a football enthusiast, loved museums, reading, an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and  Penguins fan and was a beer Connoisseur. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Karen Mulroy Tubbs, three sons Michael (wife Nikki), Mark and Daniel, one daughter Lori Tubbs and her husband Joseph Diaz, step sisters, Maryanne Conklin (Leonard) Mary Jo Cariati (Guido), Jill Capone (Anthony). Karen L. Hoffman, 62, of Jeannette, passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital.  She was born April 22, 1958 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Frank and Carol (Kudman) Venzon.  Prior to her retirement, Karen was a dietary cook for Seton Hill University.  She enjoyed playing softball, basketball, hunting, hiking and especially spending time with her grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Venzon.  She is survived by her husband, Larry Hoffman Sr.; sons, Larry Jr. and Christopher Hoffman; daughter, Haley Hoffman; brother, Frank Venzon; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Amanda, Skylar, Serenity and Damian.  Friends will be received from 2-6 p.m. on Monday at the James W. Ly Thi Nguyen, 83, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville, PA. She was born July 6, 1937 in Quang Ngai, Vietnam. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thua Van Nguyen. Richard Thomas, 79, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020 in Port Charlotte, FL.  He was born, September 7, 1941 in Greensburg, a son of the late Edward and Mary (Bogonovich) Thomas.   Prior to his retirement, Richard worked for Sun Star, Inc. in Latrobe as a plastics engineer and was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Vietnam Era.  He was a graduate of Homestead High School Class of 1959, past president of PAL, coached PAL baseball, and played in the local men's senior softball league and Florida senior softball league.   He was a member of the Irwin American Legion, Society of Plastic Engineers, chairman of Cub Pack 252, and enjoyed skiing, golf and boating.  He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia Wright Thomas; sons, Rick and his wife, Monica, Scott and his wife, Rose; brother, Paul Thomas and his wife, Karen; two grandchildren, Alexander and Gabriella; and his canine companion, Riley.  Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. on Friday at the James W. Amelia Wilson, 88, of Irwin, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born June 5, 1932 in Irwin, a daughter of the late Edward and Mamie (Thorpe) Exton.  Prior to her retirement, Amelia worked as an administrative assistant for various businesses.  She was a member of West Hempfield Presbyterian Church and enjoyed playing Bridge, quilting and traveling to Florida with her husband for the winters.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Wilson; brothers, Albert and Lestor Exton; sisters, Isabelle Shubert and Marietta Flaherty.  She is survived by her sons, Dale and Gregg Wilson; daughters, Diane Palmer and Laurie Prenatt and her husband, Patrick; six grandchildren, Nathan (Courtney), Megan, Adam, Heather, Gregg Alan, Bryan; and great-granddaughter, Addison.  Due to Covid-19, visitation and funeral service will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Amelia.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com

Robert Ross, 73, of North Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Redstone Highlands Greensburg.  He was born, February 15, 1947 in McKeesport, a son of the late William A. and Edith (Briggs) Ross.  Prior to his retirement, Bob was a plant manager for Koppers.  He enjoyed visiting casinos, playing cards, swimming and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Bowser Ross; brother, William A Ross Jr.; sisters, Nancy Minnicks and Helen Guthrie.  He is survived by his sons, Scot Ross (Lisa Laskowski) and Brent Ross and his fiancee, Samantha Lamison; and sister, Sally Kosco and her husband, Mike. It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Michael (Mike) Krien, age 73, of North Huntingdon.  He died Wednesday, October 21, 2020 surrounded by family.  Mike was born on June 14, 1947, the son of the late Martin F. and Vera M. Krien.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Alison A. Krien.  He is survived by his loving wife, Dana E. Krien of 50 years, his two children, Melissa M. (Donald) Black and Matthew M, Krien, grandchildren, Katie, Ella and Carsten Black, and his brother Dennis (Susan) Krien, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Mike grew up in Clairton, graduated from Clairton High School and attended Duquesne University, prior to  enlisting in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War era.  Mike and his young bride Dana were stationed in England and Biloxi, MS where they had many adventures together, prior to moving to North Huntingdon.  Mike worked for US Steel and retired in 2014.  Mike loved music and everything cars, passions he shared with his daughter Alison.  A self-proclaimed chef, he was always creating new recipes that would end up becoming family favorites.  And there wasn't a November gone by that he wasn't itching to get to hunting camp for a week of card playing and deer hunting with his hunting buddies.  You could also find him at the shooting range with his son, Matt.  Most of all, Mike liked spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and his brother Dennis and family and taking care of them in all ways possible, watching his grandkids in all their different endeavors, always their biggest fan, as well as hanging out with Luna, his favorite little shorkie.  Mike will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.  Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday at the James W.
