Ly Thi Nguyen, 83, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville, PA. She was born July 6, 1937 in Quang Ngai, Vietnam. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thua Van Nguyen. She is survived by her sons, Doi Trong Nguyen, Hieu Trong Nguyen, Nghia Trong Nguyen, Hanh Trong Nguyen; daughters, Thu Dung Thi Nguyen, Thu Van Thi Nguyen, Thu Ngoc Thi Nguyen. Richard Thomas, 79, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020 in Port Charlotte, FL. He was born, September 7, 1941 in Greensburg, a son of the late Edward and Mary (Bogonovich) Thomas. Prior to his retirement, Richard worked for Sun Star, Inc. in Latrobe as a plastics engineer and was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Vietnam Era. He was a graduate of Homestead High School Class of 1959, past president of PAL, coached PAL baseball, and played in the local men's senior softball league and Florida senior softball league. He was a member of the Irwin American Legion, Society of Plastic Engineers, chairman of Cub Pack 252, and enjoyed skiing, golf and boating. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia Wright Thomas; sons, Rick and his wife, Monica, Scott and his wife, Rose; brother, Paul Thomas and his wife, Karen; two grandchildren, Alexander and Gabriella; and his canine companion, Riley. Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. on Friday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Monica Thomas officiating. Interment to follow in Irwin Union Cemetery. Amelia Wilson, 88, of Irwin, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 5, 1932 in Irwin, a daughter of the late Edward and Mamie (Thorpe) Exton. Prior to her retirement, Amelia worked as an administrative assistant for various businesses. She was a member of West Hempfield Presbyterian Church and enjoyed playing Bridge, quilting and traveling to Florida with her husband for the winters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Wilson; brothers, Albert and Lestor Exton; sisters, Isabelle Shubert and Marietta Flaherty. She is survived by her sons, Dale and Gregg Wilson; daughters, Diane Palmer and Laurie Prenatt and her husband, Patrick; six grandchildren, Nathan (Courtney), Megan, Adam, Heather, Gregg Alan, Bryan; and great-granddaughter, Addison. Shirley McCarthy, age 90, of Yukon, formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at her home. She was born September 8, 1930 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Adam and Nellie (Rausch) Dannenhauer. Shirley was a member of the First Evangelical Free Church, McKeesport and enjoyed crocheting and ceramics. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry G. Earl A. Kramer Sr., age 92, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at his home. He was born November 16,1927 in Brentwood a son of the late Sylvester and Rose Kramer. Prior to his retirement, Earl was a cook for the H.J. Heinz Company. He was a member of St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon, The Italian Club, the Wendell Club and the former president of Hahntown Firehall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lyon Kramer. Kevin L. Rolls, age 67 of North Huntingdon went to be with the Lord on October 30, 2020. He was born July 18, 1953 in Keyser, West Virginia, a son of the late Lester and Freda Clifford Rolls. Kevin was a 1971 graduate of Keyser High School where he was the state wrestling champion in his senior year. He was inducted into Keyser Highschool Football Hall of Fame with the 1969 AA State Championship team. He was a 1974 graduate of Potomac State College, 1976 graduate of West Virginia University and a graduate of Westmoreland County Community College Culinary School where he graduated with honors.

Robert J. Smerker, age 78, of Port Vue, Pa., died October 29, 2020 at Walden's View, North Huntingdon. He was born June 27, 1942 in Pittsburgh, Pa., a son of the late John and Edith Smerker. Prior to his retirement, Robert was employed as the Vice President of Three Rivers Bank in Jefferson. He collected coins, stamps, enjoyed spending time at the gym and loved baseball. Robert Ross, 73, of North Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Redstone Highlands Greensburg. He was born, February 15, 1947 in McKeesport, a son of the late William A. and Edith (Briggs) Ross. Prior to his retirement, Bob was a plant manager for Koppers. He enjoyed visiting casinos, playing cards, swimming and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Bowser Ross; brother, William A Ross Jr.; sisters, Nancy Minnicks and Helen Guthrie. He is survived by his sons, Scot Ross (Lisa Laskowski) and Brent Ross and his fiancee, Samantha Lamison; and sister, Sally Kosco and her husband, Mike.
