Gloria J. (Ferry) Pecora, 95, of Boston, died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at home. She was born May 17, 1923 in Boston and was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Louise (Castine) Ferry. She was the wife of the late Samuel A. Pecora, Jr. who died September 29, 2016. They were married for 74 1/2 years. Gloria was a member of St. Patrick Parish in Christy Park where she also served as Eucharistic Minister, Usher, Lector, Ladies of Charity and Christian Mothers. She had worked for Union Cleaner's in Elizabeth Township for 15 years and was a volunteer at McKeesport Hospital for 21 years. Gloria is survived by her sisters, Lucille Angotti of Jefferson Hills and Estelle Beresford of Harrison City, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her husband, Charles T. Inks, son, Danny C. (Terri) Inks of North Huntingdon, grandson, Andrew C. Inks of North Huntingdon and granddaughter, Julie Inks of Greensburg, sister, Diane Alberts of Elizabeth Township, and nieces and nephews. Michael Lee Nuttall, 45, of McKeesport, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at home.

He was born in Jeannette and was the son of George R. and Patricia Ann Bodnar Nuttall of McKeesport. Michael worked as a carpet cleaner and maintenance for Mark of Excellence. He was a die-hard Steelers fan, who had a Steelers museum. He enjoyed working on and fixing cars in his spare time. He would do anything for anyone and never expected anything in return. Michael prided himself in being a provider and his family always came first.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 23 years, Beth Ann (Forsythe) Nuttall, two sons, Mike J. (Fiancée, Kayla) Nuttall, and Shane M. Nuttall, both of Sutersville, granddaughter, Annabella Nuttall, brother George Nuttall of McKeesport, sisters, Janet Nuttall of Monroeville and Helen Nuttall of North Versailles, father-in-law, Glen Forsythe of McKeesport, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his dogs, Jojo and Jade and the late Bruno.

(Novacek) Nassida.  Lori was a licensed Funeral Director and worked for Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home in Large. She also worked for Stewart Equipment Services in West Elizabeth and Wigs and More in Latrobe. She had previously worked for Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. in Elizabeth Township. She is survived by her loving husband, Paul J. Mula, brother, James T. (Tina) Nassida of West Mifflin, niece, Cara Nassida and nephew, James T. He was a member of Turner's Gym and the American Legion. He is survived by his daughter, Susan G. (James) Caster of Avella, sons, Gary E. (Midori) Kirshner, Jr., of Oklahoma City, OK, and Milton W. Michael Anthony "Duke" Carlson, 72, of White Oak, died Thursday, July 19, 2018. He was born February 26, 1946 in Mineola, New York, and was the son of the late Bernard and Rose Marie (Lamberti) Carlson. Mike grew up in Port Washington (Long Island) New York and moved to Pittsburgh in 1969. He was a machinist for US Steel National Tube Works from 1970 to 1982 and in 1978 became proprietor of Carlson Tree Care, LLC. He never retired, and until recently was climbing trees and cutting firewood. Mike was a member of the Tree Care Industry Association. He is survived by his wife, Roxane Stewart, daughters, Kate  (Jason) Zavacky of White Oak and Kristin Carlson of Irwin. He is also survived by Corinna (Jason) Fox and their children, Mackenzie and Cooper Fox of New Jersey, and Christopher (Kevin Hsyeh) Gaal of California.  He was preceded in death by his son, Kirk Carlson.

Melvin loved his family, his little red Corvette and especially his granddaughter, Haley. "Kenny" Datig, 63, of Glen Burnie, MD, formerly of Versailles, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at home.  Kenny was born December 10, 1954 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Gilbert William and Waneta Frances Datig.  He was retired from The Maryland State Department of Transportation where he worked in maintenance and the paint department. Kenny loved cooking, camping and his cat. He enjoyed collecting antiques and figurine cars. She was born January 31, 1918 in Bridgeport, CT, and was the daughter of the late Meyer and Ida Leventhal. She was the wife of the late Milton B. Friedman who died August 9, 2000. Fay was a member of Temple B'Nai Israel and the Sisterhood and Hadassah. She was a homemaker and also worked at her late husband Milton's business, Trust Franklin Press. She was a very kind hearted and generous person. She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Steve) Finston of Los Angeles, CA, son, Gary J. (Eva) Friedman of Pittsburgh, grandchildren, Natalie (Brian) Valen, Amy (Blake) Mayer, Michelle Finston and Matthew Finston, great-grandchildren, Audrey and Leo Valen and Levi Mayer, and nephews, Scott and Alan Gassman. Kirk was retired from US Steel Irvin Works. He was a member and past vice president of the Elizabeth Forward School Board and was also a member of the American Legion and was a former member of the Mount Vernon Athletic Association. He enjoyed his pool league, being on a ball field and time at the beach. Kirk was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He is survived by sons, William Kern Greenwald of Monroeville and Keith Richard Greenwald (fiancée, Brenda Giraldo) of Mount Lebanon, sisters, Linda (Jim) Hughes of Mount Washington and Betsy Neel of Elizabeth Township, nieces and nephews.

Ronald F. "Ron"  Morgenstern, 91, of Elizabeth Township, died Friday, July 6, 2018 at home.  He was born February 6, 1927 in Greenock and was the son of  the late Jacob and Bertha Burland Morgenstern. He was husband of the late Audrey (Schriber) Morgenstern.  Ron was retired from management at US Steel for many years and was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenock. Ron was a US Army WWII Veteran. Ron was involved in many activities throughout his life. He was a charter member of Greenock Fire Company, former member of the Elizabeth Township Planning Commission,  past president of the Elizabeth Forward School Board and past president and member of The Elizabeth Township Historical Society, in which he was most proud of his work he did for their Lewis and Clark Expedition re-enactment. He was also caretaker of the Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Dravo Cemetery and Coulter Cemetery, as well as other local cemeteries. Ron loved researching his family history and any historical information.  He is survived by  grandson, Thomas E. (Brandis) Paull, Jr. of North Huntingdon, granddaughter, Jessica E. (Fiancé Cody Rhoades) Paull, son-in-law, Thomas E. Paull, Sr. of Boston, grandchildren, Jackson and Savannah,  many family and  friends and his dogs, Molly and Katie.

Charles "Chuck" Clinton Northrup, 91, of Allison Park, formerly of Mount Vernon, died Thursday, June 28, 2018. He was born October 18, 1926 in Pittsburgh and was the husband of the late Dorothy (Rozinsky) Northrup and the late Carol J. (Ludwick) Northrup. Chuck was a member of Park Baptist Church in Versailles. He was also a member of F & AM Lodge #375 and #731, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, the Shriners and was on the Mount Vernon Cemetery Board of Directors, as well as many other community projects. He was retired from A.B. Murray Co. and was a US Army WWII Veteran. For his service, he received the Good Conduct Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon and the WWII Victory Ribbon. He is survived by his daughter, Lori (Mark) Caro of the North Hills, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great grandson, nieces and nephews.
