The Rev. Gordon Peers Ray, 77, of White Oak, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 7, 2019. He was born June 21, 1942 in Rockford, IL, and was the son of the late Peers Foster and Mary Elizabeth (Stocking) Ray. He was a 1960 graduate of East Rockford High School, 1964 University of Dubuque, IA, 1968 Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, and was ordained in 1968 by the Illinois Synod of the LCA. In 1968, he began his ministry serving Gloria DCI Mission in Hagerstown, IN, followed by Leetsdale Wall Rose Parish in Leetsdale, St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Monessen, House of Prayer Lutheran church in Aliquippa, St. John Lutheran church, Carnegie, and Faith Lutheran Church in White Oak where he retired from in 2007.

He was the husband of the late Donna F. (Swanson) Shutts who passed away October 14, 2016. They were married for 60 years. Floyd was a member of Dravosburg United Methodist Church and F & AM Lodge # 583. and was a retired charter bus driver. He was an airplane pilot and enjoyed flying.

He proudly served in the Army National Guard and belonged to the VFW post in Peter's Township, where he spent many an evening with many good friends sharing many great stories.

She was born August 23, 1920 in Steubenville, OH, and was the daughter of the late Stelios and Steliane (Yialouris) Bournos. She was the wife of the late James N. Loizes, Sr, who was the former Chief of Police in McKeesport. She was a member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of White Oak and was a Sunday School Teacher and member of St. Markella Plilotochos Society. She was also a Sunshine Girl, that visited the homebound and hospitalized patients. Ann received the St. Photios Award for her dedicated service to her parish. During WWII when all the men went to war, she worked at Weirton Steel as a "Rosie the Riveter".

She later purchased the Homa Gas Station in Elizabeth and converted it into Mossburg's Restaurant. Her last business venture was Lorraine's Restaurant in Charleroi.
