Edward was a proud graduate of Norwin High School, Westmoreland Community College, and The University of Pittsburgh. He worked as a financial analyst for The University of Pittsburgh and also was owner of Heavy Weight Baits, LLC. Edward was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most importantly, he loved being a dad and spending time with and coaching his son, Aiden, in various sporting teams, as well as playing fantasy football and video games together.

Melvin Charles Harlan, 79, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 at home. He was born April 8, 1941 in Glassport and was the son of the late Harold E. and Lucy I. (Gunder) Harlan. Melvin was a member and greeter at St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Township. He was also a member of the adult education and fellowship group there. He was retired from Eastman Chemical Co, and had previously worked for US Steel Clairton Works. Melvin was a 1959 graduate of Glassport High School and was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was an avid golfer, gardener, fisherman and sports fan. His biggest pride was his family.

Andrew worked as a contractor doing home remodels, he also enjoyed working out, skydiving, snorkeling and pool & billiards. He was known as an avid cook and grillmaster as well. Florence “Flo” Speidel, 90, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 6, 2020, 11 days after the passing of her beloved husband of nearly 70 years, Bill. Born Florence Kathryn Delo on November 12, 1929 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of Monroe M. Delo and Freda (Blend) Delo. Left to cherish her legacy is her sister, Ethel (Delo) Harris of Erie and her children Carol (James) Anderson of Mechanicsburg, William D. (Barbara) Speidel, III of Butler and David (Barbara) Speidel of South Fayette; 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Flo graduated from East McKeesport High School in 1947 where she was in the Girls’ and Mixed Chorus, Tri-Hi-Y, Art Club, Junior Play and the Decorating Committee. After High School, she took evening business classes at Carnegie Mellon and Robert Morris and was an Administrative Assistant in the Executive Office of Pittsburgh Plate Glass until she met and married the love of her life, Bill.
