Sarah Jean "Sally" Haberman, 96, of Greenock Heights, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021. She was born July 23, 1924 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late George E. and Eva (Knight) Smith. She was the wife of the late John H. Haberman who passed away November 25, 2007. Sally was a member of Central Presbyterian Church where she was a Deacon, Elder, Choir member and past president of the Women's Association. She was also a member and past president of the McKeesport Symphony Ladies Auxiliary. She was previously a member of the former First United Presbyterian Church of Boston.

Richard Anthony Pomponio,  88, of McKeesport, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021. He was born October 16, 1932 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Ovidio and Catherine Pomponio. Richard was a member of Christy Park United Methodist Church and was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a former City Controller and Tax Collector for the City of McKeesport and had retired from US Steel. Richard was manager of McKeesport 50 + Softball Team and was instrumental in the Mon Valley Unemployed Committee that was formed in the 1980s.

Margaret (Knight) Shegan (née Chuhanich), 94, of McKeesport, passed peacefully at home among family on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. She was born February 18, 1927 in Hollidays Cove, West Virginia. She was the wife of the late David J. Shegan, who passed away April 18, 1979. “Margie” graduated from McKeesport High School in 1945. As a young woman she worked as a camera girl at the Vogue Terrace in North Versailles and subsequently in the mail room at the Irvin Works before starting a family with her husband. Margie was a member of St. Sava Orthodox Church in McKeesport, where she was a former member of The Young at Heart's group. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and gardening. She loved traveling, beach vacations and annual family reunion weekends.

He was an active member of Greenock United Methodist Church and a life member of The Central Vol. Fire Department. Vaughn was an amazing carpenter and cabinet maker and lent his talents and skills to many family members, friends, his church and firehall over the years. He was the owner of over 25 years of the former Wood Products Supply and retired as a kitchen designer at the Sutersville Lumber Company.

Barbara B. Brady, 80, of Sewickley Township, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021.  She was born December 9, 1940 in Braddock and grew up in East McKeesport. She was the daughter of the late William Beck and Ruth (Eckenrode) Beck Aiton. Barbara worked at the University of Pittsburgh before raising her family, later returning to work at the former Daily News in McKeesport and the former Baldock nursing home in North Huntingdon where she enjoyed playing the piano for the residents.  She was a member of The Church in Sutersville and the former Sutersville Presbyterian Church. Barbara loved going to the ocean throughout her entire life and was able to see, and touch, the ocean for the last time in December. Barbara, most of all, loved spending time with her family and was very proud of her grandchildren, often traveling to celebrate birthdays, attend soccer matches, band and orchestra concerts, dance recitals, and high school and college graduations.
