Edward Robert “Bone” Petersen, 62, of Duquesne, formerly of Clairton, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at UPMC McKeeport. He was born in McKeesport on October 15, 1960 to the late Robert and Cecila Cabon Petersen. He is survived by sons, Brenden Petersen of Pinellas County, FL, Derek Petersen of Elizabeth, Jordan (Alexis) Petersen of Clairton, sisters Kathleen (George) Kovtun of Clairton, Eileen (John) Rossi of Clairton, Sharon (Jim) Doyle of North Versailles, grandchildren Julian, Sterling, Halsley, Zayla, Logan, Roman and Damian as well as nieces and nephews. Edward was preceded in death by brother Daniel Petersen. Edward worked at Petersen Machine Shop for 27 years, and also did welding and roofing. He was known to enjoy making detailed drawings and was a loving man that enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Arrangements have been entrusted to S.M. Sarah "Sally" Ann Gennaro

Sarah "Sally" Ann Gennaro, 89, of Irwin, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.  She was born January 17, 1934 in Ambridge, PA, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Linden) Gibb.  Sarah was a graduate of St. Joseph Nursing School and was a registered nurse for various hospitals in the Western Pennsylvania area.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin and enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading mysteries and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.  She liked all animals and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Gennaro, and son-in-law, Roy Starr.  She is survived by her sons, Daniel P. Gennaro and his wife, Catherine, Rodger Gennaro and his wife, Janet; daughters, M. Bridget Starr, Amy Kerr and her husband, Norman; grandchildren, Gabriella, Olivia, John, Roy, Daniel, Trudy, Eleanor, Sarah, Norman, William, Megan and Amanda.  There will be no visitation.  Interment will be private in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.  Arrangements made by James W. Kenneth Leroy “Cricket” Trainer

Kenneth Leroy “Cricket” Trainer, 83 of Dravosburg, formerly of North Hills, passed away on Saturday, May 20th 2023 at his home. He was born in Clairton on August 8th 1940 to the late Chauncey and Edith Roche Trainer. Kenneth was the loving husband to the late Charlotte Abell and Donna Dicecco. He is survived by his son Donald L. Trainer of McKeesport, step-son John McGarrity of McKeesport, and step-daughter Carol Daugherty of McKeesport, and great granddaughter Hailey Trainer of McKeesport as well as many nieces and nephews. Kenneth was preceded in death by his brothers and his sister and his granddaughter Dawn Trainer. He was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance. Kenneth enjoyed dancing, playing pool, and gambling. Kenneth worked as a lab technician for PPG industries. Family and friends will be received on Thursday May 25th from 2 P.M. – 4 P.M. and 6 P.M. – 8 P.M. at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. A service will take place at the funeral home on Friday May 26th at 11 A.M. to be followed by interment at Roundhill Cemetery. Mary Ann (Ramsey) Martin, age 76 of Liberty Borough and formerly of Clairton, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023 in Jefferson Hospital.  Born December 29, 1946 in Elizabeth, she was a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Florence L. (Coughenour) Ramsey.  A graduate of Clairton High School, Mary Ann was a member of Pine Run United Methodist Church and worked at the former Marraccini's Supermarket, both in Clairton.  She is survived by her children Christina Martin, with whom she resided, and Richard (Tracy) Lindsey of Clairton; her eight grandchildren Kelsea, Devin, and Brendan Parsons, Alexia and Aiva Fait, and Courtney, Whitney, and R.J. Lindsey; her six great-grandchildren Noah, Jonathan, and Cameron Williams, Winter Anderson, Sage Fuqua, and R.J. Lindsey, Jr.; her brothers David (Kim) Ramsey of Jefferson Hills and Craig (Connie) Ramsey of Elizabeth Twp.; and also many nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her siblings Curtis and Diana Ramsey.

Phyllis M. Valerio, 91, of North Huntingdon ascended into heaven on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at her home. She was born August 13, 1931 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Walter and Anne Clark Parkhurst. Phyllis was a waitress at Eat'n Park. She attended West Hempfield Presbyterian Church and enjoyed ballroom dancing, bowling, entertaining and sewing.  Phyllis was a wonderful mom and a fabulous cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Valerio, one daughter, Jeryl E. Schwartz (Robert),  two brothers, Walter (Vinita) Parkhurst  and Jessie Donald (Joann) Parkhurst, one sister, Lois (Rich) Godec. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Y. Colchagie (Robert), son, Paul J. Neff (Sharon), one sister, Annette Potts (Ronald), 5 grandchildren, Matthew Neff (Kim), Jonathan Neff (Sarah), Keriann Neff (Jason), Kaishia Ieraci, Aaviele Ieraci, four great-grandchildren Arlo, Luca, Ty and Lilly. Friends will be received at the Refuge Church in Manor on Saturday, May 27 from 9:30-10 a.m. at which time a service will be begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be private in Brush Creek Cemetery. She is survived by her step children, Melanie, Danae and Janice Komar, nieces and nephews, Heather, Zachary, Jared, Tanner, Addison and Wyatt and her sister-in-law Barb Komar. She was a retired administrator at Mon Valley Hospital from 1983-2000, a 1956 graduate of Duquesne High School, a former member of Holy Name Church-Duquesne and she enjoyed traveling and watching TV. She is survived by her children, Jeannette (Edmund) Bridge of Ligonier, James Francis (Barbara) McLinden of Lawton, Oklahoma, Martin Michael McLinden of Butler and Daniel (Ramona) McLinden of Culpeper, Virginia; 7 grandchildren, Stephen (Stephanie) Bridge, Michael (Nicole) Bridge, James “Jimbo” McLinden III, Breanna McLinden, Anthony “Tony” McLinden, Regina McLinden, and Daniel Leo (Abbi) McLinden; and 6 great grandchildren. She is the sister of the late Larry (wife Janet survives) Miller of White Oak, late Roberta “Bobbie” (husband Barry survives) Whitmore of Florida and late Linda (late Donald “Spike”) Ramsey. Mols who passed away in 2018.  She grew up on Boyd Hill surrounded by her family.  Dolores was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, Corpus Christi Chuch and their Christian Mothers.  She enjoyed weekend polka dances with her husband and friends, traveling to Virginia, and yearly family beach vacations.  At home, she loved to bake and tend to her flower garden.

Kimberly Danielle Kifer, 52, of McKeesport, peacefully departed this life at home on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in much the same way she entered it - surrounded by the love of her family. Born the adored twin daughter of Bradley M. Sayles and Janis L. Kifer on February 22, 1971 and affectionately called by her nickname “Bird”, Kimberly was graduated from Woodland Hills Eastern Area with the Class of 1992.

Despite having been diagnosed with a severe case of cerebral palsy, Kimmie thoroughly enjoyed the thrill of regular everyday adventures. She loved to go on shopping sprees, camping trips, fishing excursions and was most fond of watching people in public places.

William was a graduate of McKeesport High School and was retired from the VA Hospital in Pittsburgh and was also a retired school bus driver. He was a US Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Glassport American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his brother John Tomedolsky. Joe was a member of St. Joachim and Ann Parish and served in the US Army. Jeanie was a graduate of Elizabeth High School in 1950 and was employed by the K-Mart in West Mifflin for twenty-three years. Jeanie enjoyed bowling, reading, word search puzzles, bingo, attending and being a member of the Bible Baptist Temple in Clairton, and visiting the Clairton Senior Center.
