Judy Schmidt died peacefully January 13, 2017. She led a very blessed life and was rewarded with two wonderful sons, a beautiful daughter-in-law and a spectacular grandson. Mr. and Mrs. Jennifer and Philip Schmidt, Mr. Michael Schmidt, Jr. and grandson, Charles James Schmidt. Judy also leaves behind her loving brother and wife Eugene and Carol Pierce (PA) and sister Marti and Arthur Blanchard (SC) and sister-in-law Nini Pierce (PA) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

IRENE ANN KULA, 93, of Glassport died Jan. 13, 2017.  She is the daughter of the late George and Mary (Kushner) Dobos.  Beloved wife of the late Albert Kula.  She is survived by daughters Valeria Kula of West Virginia, Marge (James) Wolff of Murrysville and Terry (Lewis) Speiran of Murrysville; sons Albert Kula, Jr. of Glassport and Timothy Kula of Glassport; grandchildren Lonnie, Jared, Callann and Jeffrey; sisters Betty Janov of North Versailles, Velma Rollison of Scottsdale and Sr. Marion Dobos, OSB of Pittsburgh; also nieces and nephews.

Glenn Bupp, 58, of Elizabeth Township, died Thursday January 12, 2017. He was born January 9, 1959 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Glenn and Irene Treager Bupp. Glenn worked for US Steel Edgar Thompson Works in Braddock. He was an avid Softball player and Duck Pin Bowler. He enjoyed riding his quad with his grandson Justin and loved watching the Pittsburgh Penguins.

John G. “Lobo” Barretta, 88, of McKeesport, died Jan. 11, 2017, at UPMC McKeesport. Born Mar. 6, 1928, in Turtle Creek, he was the son of the late Earnest L. and Mary (Lebanno) Barretta and the husband of Aurora (Marchetti) Barretta.
John was a member of St. Patrick Church. A U.S. army veteran, he served as a medic in the Korean War. Returning home from overseas, he became a barber in Wilmerding, a trade that he would continue, at least part time, for the rest of his life.

James “Jim” “Fizzer” Noris O’Bryon, 86, of West Mifflin, formerly of Jefferson Hills, passed away at Jefferson Regional Medical Center on Friday, January 13, 2017. He was born August 22, 1930, in McKeesport, to the late Clifford and Margaret Lloyd O’Bryon. James is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Harrison O’Bryon; daughter, Marsha (Douglas) Murphy of Chantilly, VA; grandsons, Matthew & Kyle Murphy also of Chantilly, VA and loyal dog “Bear”.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Eileen Baron, Patricia Minnicks; brother, Lloyd O’Bryon.  Jim served in the US Army during WWII, was employed by US Steel Irvin Works in plant protection, was a member of Pine Run United Methodist Church, enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, golfing, was the former owner of Mon Valley Shooting Supplies, former president of the Lions Club of Jefferson Hills, the Syria Shrine Gun Club and Clairton Sportsman Club, a member of the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge # 765 of East McKeesport, the Junior Order of United American Mechanics, the Masonic Scottish Rite of Pittsburgh and American Legion Post 712 in Pleasant Hills.  Visitation will take place on Sunday January 15, 2017  from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm at S. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6^th Street,  Clairton,  PA   15025.  A service will be held at the funeral home on Monday January 16, 2017 at 10:00 am followed by interment at Jefferson Memorial Park with military honors.  Online condolences may be offered at www.finneyfuneralhome.com

VIRGINIA S. FAIR, 70, of Monongahela, died Jan. 3, 2017. She is the daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Dodd) Moss. She is survived by her son David (Christine) Cooke of Liberty Boro and grandson Daniel Cooke. Virginia was an accomplished pianist, writer and teacher and received her Master's degree from West Virginia University. She loved animals and, in fact, participated in the rescue and rehabilitation of many animals throughout her life. She was a lover of life and believed in helping those less fortunate than herself.
