Joseph Thomas “Tom” Orzulak, 67, of Lawrence, Kansas, died Aug. 6, 2018, at his home.
He was born July 14, 1951 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the son of Frank “Frosty” and Helen (Donnelly) Orzulak. Raised in Port Vue, PA, he was a 1969 graduate of South Allegheny High School and in 1974 earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Arts at California State College in California, Pa. He taught metal shop at Plum High School for 5 years and was a supervisor for PennDOT, Lovedale District, for a number of years. He was a proud member of the Port Vue Volunteer Fire Company.
After a move to Lawrence, Kansas, in 1985, Tom was the director of parking services at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas, before landing his dream job as Street Division Manager for the City of Lawrence for 23 years, retiring in 2013.
He married Patricia Smith on May 17, 1975 in Versailles, Pa. She survives at home.

Frances (Homa) Gatto, age 87, of Forward Township, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Arden Courts. She retired as a clerk for Pennsylvania American Water Company in Elizabeth. She was a member of Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary Russian Orthodox Church in McKeesport where she taught Religious Education for 65 years, receiving special recognition from the bishop for her years of service. A former clerk at the Glass House in Glassport, she was an avid sports fan and enjoyed bowling and softball.

Corey Ryan Mandich, 25, of Vanderbilt, formerly of Clairton & South Park, passed away at home on Friday, August 10, 2018. He was born December 22, 1992, in McKeesport, to Gregory A. and Gloria L. David Mandich Sr. Along with his parents, Corey is survived by daughter, Charlotte Rose ; brothers, Gregory (Stephanie) Mandich of Clairton, Adam (Lauren) Mandich of Perryopolis; grandmother, Bonnie (James) DeVault of Anderson, SC; nieces/nephews, Hunter, Jordan, Chris, Rylan, Jax, Jayden. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Lois and George Mandich. Corey enjoyed operating and repairing dirt bikes, fishing, music, and being with his nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 4 – 8 pm at S. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N 6th Street, Clairton, PA 15025. John Townslan Hoak, 77, of Elizabeth Township, died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at home. He was born May 17, 1941 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Roderick and Martha (McLean) Hoak. John served as a Paratrooper for 2 years in the Army's 82nd Airborne Division. He spent most of his life being self-employed. His talents as a multi-skilled Craftsman led to being co-owner of Hoak Brothers, Inc., West Newton Lumber Co. , Yough Fuel and Energy and most recently Hoak Construction, Inc., building quality homes. His favorite pastime was enjoying adventures with his wife and grandchildren, especially involving travel. He was a mentor to many young men and was a member of the NRA. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol A. (Kite) Hoak. They were married June 13, 1964. He is also survived by his sons, John B. (Jessie Sedlock) Hoak and Jeffrey T. (Tabatha) Hoak of Elizabeth Township and Jason C. (Melissa Kelly) Hoak of Pittsburgh, sister, Martha Jane Donaldson of Buena Vista, grandchildren, Jeffrey (Alysa), Jacob, Randy, Jason, Ashley, and Julia, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and many brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws.

Donald F. Uchnar, age 81, of McKeesport, died August 9, 2018, at home. Born July 2, 1937, in Braddock, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Birkosky) Uchnar and the husband of the late Viola M. "Bubba" (Cypher) Uchnar. Don was retired from the US Post Office, where he was a letter carrier, with 38 years of service. He was a US Marine veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
