Maureen Edna Dunn, 67, of North Huntingdon, PA, died October 5, 2023 in her home after a brief illness. She is survived by her fiancé, David Bollinger, her daughter, Nicole (Tim) Dunn Marsh of Alexandria, VA, brothers, David (Beverly) Dunn and Duane Dunn both of North Huntingdon, PA, sister, Marcia (Ralph) Rowley of Charlottesville, VA, aunt, Maureen Donnelly of Arlington, VA and several nieces and nephews. Maureen was predeceased by her beloved mother, JoAnn Dunn, father, Clarence Dunn and brothers, Dennis, Darrel, and Douglas. Born November 15, 1955 in Jeanette, PA, Maureen graduated from Norwin High School in 1973. She was an office manager at Trafford Commerce Center for over 30 years. She loved her swimming pool, making flower arrangements, and decorating her house with birdhouses and bumble bees in the summer, witches for Halloween, and snowmen in the winter. Helen Rosalia Berry, of McKeesport, PA, died on her 100th birthday on October 5, 2023. She was born in Munhall, PA on October 5, 1923 and is the daughter of the late John and Helen Fazekas Grega and the wife of the late Martin J. Berry. Helen was a devout Catholic who was member of the former St. Pius Roman Catholic Church in McKeesport, now Mary, Mother of God Parish. She was very crafty, loved to knit, and was an Avon lady for many years. She was also the owner of the former Betty Ann’s Hair Salon in Duquesne, where she was a Beauty Operator.

A member of Pine Run United Methodist Church in Clairton, she was a founding member of the Jefferson Hills Historical Society and founder of the Jefferson Hills Library. Born October 16, 1942 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Grace (Stokes) Hoak and wife of the late Frederick C. "Red" Schmidt Sr. She is survived by son, Frederick C. (Laurie) Schmidt Jr. of Jefferson Hills, with whom she resided; a grandson and great-granddaughters; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Sharon E. Ruffing. Friends will be received in the Paul E.   Carol A. Kennedy, age 79, formerly of Glassport, Pennsylvania, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Carrington Place of Botetourt following a period of declining health. Carol was born August 6, 1944 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania and lived most of her life in Glassport, Pennsylvania before moving to Daleville in 2018. She was the daughter of the late Edward P. and Vera Sabolic Katchmark. Carol was very active at her parish of Queen of the Rosary Catholic Church where she participated in all fund raisers and making haluski. Food was her language of love and she enjoyed hosting Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins parties. Carol enjoyed decorating for each season and holiday. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Anna Sabolic and uncle, Albert Sabolic. Carol is survived by her daughter, Keri (William) Gerstemeier of Daleville; grandsons: Samuel (Emma) Gerstemeier and Ryan Gerstemeier; sisters: Judi (Dave) Bonadio of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Melanie Zwicker of Boulder, Colorado. A funeral mass celebrating Carol’s life will be 10:30 AM Saturday, October 14 at Queen of the Rosary Parish, 530 Michigan Avenue, Glassport, Pennsylvania with burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. She was born January 31, 1943 in Clairton, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Sokpo) Raposky. Kathy was a hairdresser, warehouse manager for E.G. Gabriels and secretary for the family business, E. J. Lowery Fire and Commercial Truck Repair. Kathy was the matriarch of her family. She was a loving mother who devoted her life to her children. She was a member of Transfiguration Anglican Church, Elizabeth, Pa. She enjoyed sewing, ceramics, feeding the squirrels and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren. Kathy was very selfless and touched each person's life whether you met her for one moment or had known her for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Raposky. She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Duane E. Campbell; children, James (Terry) Griffiths, Marina (Dan) Blocher, Charles (Elizabeth) Campbell and Tammy Couchenour; brother, Joseph (Nancy) Raposky; sister, Jane Foshee; grandchildren, Kimberly (Joe) Kiraly, Paul (Amanda) Griffiths, Morgan Couchenour, Aidan Blocher, Karsyn Campbell, Ella Blocher and Connor Couchenour; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Tyler, Jayce and soon to be arriving baby Bryce. She was born in Glassport on August 9th, 1921 to the late George and Mary Hyduk Elkanic. Margaret was the loving wife of 68 years to the late Albert Mendicino. She is survived by her daughters Monica (Richard) Semanisin of North Versailles, and Nadine (Dave) Erdody of Vero Beach, FL, her sister Helen Dragos of Greenock, granddaughter Gwendolyn Brown (William Duck, Jr.) of Wilkins township, great-grandson Joseph Brown of Port St Lucie, FL, as well as nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents George and Mary Elkanic, husband Albert Mendicino, her brother Andrew (Helen) Elkanic and her sister Ann (Edward) Mihoces, and her beloved cat Gordon. She was a member of the Queen of the Rosary. Margaret worked as a timekeeper for U.S. Steel. She enjoyed getting strikes in bowling and shopping for clothes, she also enjoyed playing the slots at the casino and being the best dancer on the dance floor. An Army veteran having served in the Vietnam War, he retired as a beautician throughout the Mon Valley area and was a former member of St. Michael Church. He enjoyed watching TV and cooking. Born September 19, 1947 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Walter F. and Malvina M. (DeNardis) Crovak. He is survived by his brother, James E. He was a past member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Herminie. He was an Air Force veteran that went on to work as a mechanic / maintenance for over 36 years at US Airways in Pittsburgh before retiring. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Linda J. Dansak; sister Sandra Kersting; and brother Dennis Dansak. He is survived by his brother-in-law William Kersting of White Oak; nephew Bill (Heather) Kersting of North Huntingdon and their children Tayler, Dylan and Kaitlyn; and sister-in-law Nancy that helped with his care.

 Loretta Catherine Carr, age 80, of Perryopolis, formerly White Oak, died September 30, 2023, at Jefferson Hospital. Born May 18, 1943, in Homestead, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Rita (Cosgrove) Schragl and the wife of the late Charles Carr.
Loretta was the owner of Loretta Carr's China and Glass shop in White Oak and a resident artist at Angora Gardens. She graduated from Divine Providence Catholic High School. Loretta was a member and Eucharistic Minister at Mary, Mother of God Parish. She loved to watch her grand-kids doing what they loved, from sitting on the sidelines of soccer games watching Madison and Lillian, sitting in a theater watching Emma Kate in her musical performances, and sitting in the bleachers cheering on Jackson at his wrestling matches. Loretta's passion in life was painting china.
She is survived by her children, Charles "Patrick" (Nicole) Carr of White Oak and Tracy (Samuel) Angelo of Perryopolis; grandchildren, Madison Carr, Emma Kate Angelo, Jackson Angelo, and Lillian Carr; sister, Rita McMillan; best friend and aunt to her children, Barbara Petron; beloved dog, Holly; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Schragl.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 10 a.m. at St. Angela Merici Church. Burial and committal prayers will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery.
