Forrest Leonard Trasp, age 76, of Russellton, PA, died on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. He was born in McKeesport on December 2, 1945 and is the son of the late John Francis and Myrtle Mae Berga Trasp. He loved listening to music, going to the mall, and watching animated TV shows and movies.

Kenneth Katrick, age 88, of Port Vue, died July 22, 2022, at Allegheny General Hospital. Born November 5, 1933, in Port Vue, he was the son of the late Michael and Susan (Laboda) Katrick and the beloved husband of Jean (Palesko) Katrick for 66 years. As an adult, Kenneth, with the help of his wife, tirelessly helped put him through night school to obtain his college degree. He would go on to work for U.S. Steel as a mechanical engineer.

Daniel "Dan" Pacich, 79, of Clairton passed away early Thursday morning, July 21, 2022. He was born February 5, 1943 in Clairton and is the son of the late Louis and Francis (Olesky) Pacich. He was a member of the former St. Mary Serbian Orthodox Church in Clairton before closing their doors, and also a member of The American Legion, Post 75 in Clairton. Dan worked as an Iron Worker and eventually retired after 25 years, giving him a lifetime membership with Local #3. Now a veteran, he also served in the United States Army where he was a Private Driver for their General and was awarded the Sharpshooter Rifle Medal.

Judy M. Johnson, age 57, of Forward Twp., passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Jefferson Hills Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. She was a former employee for Headstart in Elizabeth. She was a former member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Twp., a member of the Daughters of the America Revolution, a former seamstress, and a friend to anyone she met. Born November 4, 1964 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Robert F. Barrett Sr. and the late Patricia (Hurlbut) Barrett. She is survived by her husband of nine years, Scott A. Johnson; children, Joe (Rachael) Jenkins of Detroit, MI and Jessica Jenkins of Elizabeth; stepchildren, Kevin Johnson of Forward Twp. and Kerisa (Jim) Lewis of Forward Twp.; grandchildren, Dan, Don and Jordan; step-grandchildren, Jaelynn, Teagan and Jimmy; canine companion, Hunter; sibllings, Patty Lou (Bruce) Knabenschuh of Elizabeth, Nancy Schwer of Munhall, Bobby (Linda) Barrett of Forward Twp., Karen (Lawrence) Bennett of Forward Twp. and Kenny (Joyce) Barrett of Bethel Park; sister-in-law, Sandy Barrett of Jefferson Hills; brother-in-law, Rob Johnson of Elizabeth; also, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michael L.. Faccenda Jr., 62, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on December 27, 1959 in Pittsburgh, son of Michael (Donna) Faccenda and Rose Marie Esquivel. Michael was a graduate of South Hills Catholic High School Class of 1977 and was a produce manager for Giant Eagle for many years. He served on the Board of Western Westmoreland Municipal Authority and was a former commissioner of North Huntingdon Township. Mike was a member of Pitcairn-Monroeville Sportsmen’s Club and was very involved with the Boy Scouts and served as a leader. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his canine companion, Gracie. He is survived by his wife, Melissa (Miles) Faccenda; sons, Matthew and Michael; daughter Bianca (Dane) Plotner; brother, Nick (Meredith) Faccenda; sister Carmen (Paul) Faccenda-Harshall; and sister Lia Faccenda.

Joanne was a 1961 graduate of Duquesne High School. She was a member of St. Mary Russian Orthodox Church in McKeesport. She enjoyed word search puzzles, lunch with friends, and always putting others' needs first.

Margaret A. Handel, 82, of White Oak, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022. She was born April 20, 1940 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Joseph Hromyak Jr. and the late Catherine (Hook) Hromyak. She was the wife of the late Frederick G. Handel, Sr., who passed away April 17, 2001. She was an active member of Refuge Church in Manor. Reading scripture gave her peace and comfort. Margaret was also a member and former EMT at Greenock Fire Co. in Elizabeth Township, and a Boy Scout Den Mother. She was a graduate of McKeesport High School Class of 1958 and Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1960. Margaret was an RN and had retired from Jefferson Hospital after 20 years of service. She previously worked for US Steel Homestead and US Steel Clairton.

Claudia Marie Navaroli, age 63, of Wilkins Township, formerly of White Oak, died on July 18, 2022. She was born in McKeesport on April 27, 1959 and is the daughter of the late John and Rosemarie Miller Navaroli. She had a very strong faith and prayed daily. She was previously employed at USX National Tube, then later at Sam’s Club performing several jobs including forklift driver and baker. She loved her cats and driving her car while listening to diverse selection of music.

Joshua A. DiLuzio, age 35, of McKeesport, formerly of Oakdale, CT, died July 16, 2022, at home. Born April 29, 1987, in Norwich, CT, he was the son of Joseph and Suzanne (Curran) DiLuzio.
Josh was a 2005 graduate of Montville High School in Connecticut. He then went to Thiel College and graduated in 2009 with Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Furthering his education even more, after graduating at Thiel, he enrolled at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Growing up in Oakdale, he rose to the rank of Eagle Scout for Troop 60. In high school and college, Josh was involved with the drama club. He had many artistic talents as well and was always creating with his hands. He loved his two dogs London and the late Bella.
In addition to his parents. Josh is survived by a brother, Dominic DiLuzio, of Boston, MA.

Charlotte J. Borland, age 79, of Liberty Boro, formerly of Duquesne, passed away on July 20, 2022, at Select Speciality Care-McKeesport. Born in McKeesport on January 1, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John “Hank” and Elizabeth “Betty” (Shimko) Cimbala. Charlotte was a retired secretary for the United Societies of America. She was a former member of the former Holy Name Church, Duquesne and she enjoyed bingo and bus trips to the Casino with friends. She was a caregiver to her brother Johnny, whom she loved very much and was very proud of her one and only granddaughter, Raegan, whom she loved dearly. She was a wonderful woman who would do anything for anyone. She had the most radiant smile and contagious laugh. Charlotte is survived by her daughter Theresa “Terri” (Craig) Gouker of North Huntingdon; granddaughter Raegan Gouker; and siblings, Edward (late “Bunny”) Cimbala of Glassport, late Carl (Kathy survives) Cimbala of Buena Vista, John Cimbala of Liberty Boro and Marlene (late Elmer) Parker of Liberty Boro. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, from 4-7 p.m., at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. Dolores A. Ikach-Lefcort, 90, of McKeesport passed over on July 19, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. She was born December 19, 1931 in Wilmington, DE and is the daughter of the late Eva Love Butler-Chalfont and Robert Allen Hornick. She leaves a legacy of work-ethic and love that is carried on by five children, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Cynthia K. (Canova) Giles, age 64, of Christy Park, passed away on July 14, 2022, at Canterbury Place in Pittsburgh. She was born September 5, 1957, in McKeesport, and was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Virginia Canova, and wife of Michael R. Giles.
Cindy was a home maker who loved her family. She worked with local charities to help those in need.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Autumn Walsh, of Bethel Park, Joseph Belliconish, of White Oak, Kelli Lee, of Murrysville, and Michael Giles, of McKeesport; six grandchildren, Gabby, Jace, JJ, Miranda, Madelyne, and Montana; brothers, Anthony Canova, of Wexford and Samuel Canova.
