Beverly J. Hott, age 67, of Romney, WV, died on January 16, 2024. Born April 23, 1956, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Dallas and Geraldine (Smith) Trump and wife of the late Carl Hott.

With unwavering devotion, she selflessly dedicated herself to ensuring her husband's happiness and comfort for many years. Beverly had a zest for life and cherished the simple joys it brought. Walking through her neighborhood, she would greet friends and neighbors with a warm smile, making connections that spanned the length of her life.

Lynn Ann Balego, 77 years young from North Irwin passed away Monday January 15,2024. She was born August 8, 1946 in Wilkinsburg, a daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Lukehart Divelbiss. Lynn was a graduate of Norwin High School and Gale Institute. She also attended Ball State University and the University of Notre Dame.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Irwin. Lynn worked many years as an administrative assistant within various companies including the Norwin Chamber of Commerce and Shuster's. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Doug Divelbiss and her sister, Nancy Divelbiss. She was the loving wife to Chuck Balego, beloved mother of Tye (Jesse), Tawnie (Brian) and Tarra (Bill) and dearly loved by her grandchildren, Cameron, Chantall, CJ, Ciersten, Autumn, Bella, Addison, Sydnee, Gabby and her precious pup Jazzy.

There will be no public visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Rose Bar and Grille, 2811 Lincoln Way, White Oak on Saturday, January 27 from 1-3 P.M. James W. Cheryl Ann Williams Gereshenski of Finleyville, passed away on January 15th, 2024 at her home. She was born in New Eagle on August 11th, 1954 to the late Raymond Williams and Jean Lytle Williams. She was the loving wife of 49 years to the late Jack Gereshenski. Cheryl is survived by her children Raymond Gereshenski of Finleyville, Ronald (Heather) Gereshenski of Monongahela, Dominic Gereshenski of Washington, Laurisa (Cody) Gereshenski of Finleyville, Kayla (Cameron) Gereshenski of Finleyville, Jacob (Hailey) Gereshenski of Charleroi, sister Connie Jean Bonczek of Johnston SC, grandchild Morgan Gereshenski, and great grandchildren Gracie, Brooklyn, and Brycen as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband Jack Gereshenski, brother Chuck Williams, and her child Tyler Gereshenski. She worked in management for the pharmaceutical industry for most of her life. She was a member of the Finleyville Food Pantry. Cheryl was also a member of the Wrights United Methodist Church.  She loved to read novels and solve jigsaw puzzles but absolutely adored spending time with her family. Cheryl got to see all of the United States with her husband but her favorite state was Oregon. Her favorite saying is “home is where we are, not where we live.” Arrangements have been entrusted to S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025.  A service will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Wright’s United Methodist Church at 11:00 A.M. to be followed by a committal at Finleyville Cemetery. Sandra L. (Shaffer) Bertoty, 77, passed away on Sunday, January 14th at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. Born January 18, 1946 in McKeesport to the late George H. and Anna M. (Surgeon) Shaffer, she was a graduate of McKeesport Area High School (1963) and the Douglas School of Business (1965). At her first job at Renzie Park as a playground supervisor, she met her future husband, John. Following their marriage in October of 1965, she was employed by Liberty Loans as a Claims Supervisor. While raising her family, she worked for Supowitz Brothers Shoe Company and J.S. Robb Shoes. She eventually worked as Office Manager/Dental Assistant for Dr. Samir J. Ayoub, D.D.S. until her retirement in 1996 to become full-time Grandma to her only grandchild, Matthew.

Sandra was a member of the former Holy Trinity (Saint Martin de Porres) Parish, in McKeesport, where she volunteered as a C.C.D. Teacher and was one of the original Eucharistic Ministers for Holy Trinity Church. She was an active member of the parish’s Fundraising Committee, overseeing the Lottery Ticket fundraiser and ticket booth manager for the Parish Festivals. Sandra was a Benefactor Life-Member of the NRA, a Certified Pistol Instructor and helped teach First-Steps Pistol Instruction, along with her husband, at Anthony Arms and Pitcairn-Monroeville Sportsman’s Club, where she was also a member. She was an active member of McKeesport-White Oak Kiwanis, where she served as Chairwoman of the Membership Committee, and the Westmoreland-Fayette County Boy Scouts of America where she held several positions, including Committee Member for Pack 270, and a member of the Bushy-Run District Committee, where she helped organize and run numerous District Events.

Edward J. Balombiny, 74, of West Mifflin, entered into eternal rest at home on Thursday January 11, 2024. Born in Homestead on May 12, 1949 to the late Edward and Verna (Hankowitz) Balombiny. Mr. Balombiny was a retired machinist for McKesson Medical Manufacturing and a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by a daughter, Heather (Frank) Mayer, two grandchildren, Hunter and Mckenzie Mayer, an aunt, Mary (late Ray) Balombiny, and several cousins. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother Jan Balombiny.

Family and friends will be received in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home Inc., 828 Richford Street, Duquesne from 3-7 on Thursday, January 18, 2024. Blessing services will be offered on Friday January 19, 2024 at 9 A.M. in the funeral home followed by burial with military honors at 10:30 A.M. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.

She enjoyed camping and the outdoors, but most of all loved to be with her family, especially her grandchildren. Born July 20, 1963 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Shirlene (Rhodes) Trich. She is survived by her son, Alvin C. June A. Halvorson McElravy, 95, of White Oak, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, in Mt. View Memory Care Home in Greensburg, PA. She was born June 12, 1928 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late John Halvorson, Sr. and Anna Widen Halvorson. She was the loving wife of Glenn McElravy, who passed away on September 18, 2006. She worked for Bell Telephone of PA in their McKeesport office. She was an earlier member of St. John Lutheran Church in McKeesport where she taught Sunday School. More recently she was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in White Oak where she helped with altar care and was involved with its woman's groups. June belonged to White Oak Chapter 2294 of the American Association of Retired Persons, Pioneers, Eastern Star and served as a volunteer in the gift shop of McKeesport Hospital.

Robert Matibe, age 90 of North Huntingdon, passed away on January 15, 2024. He was born on April 4th, 1933 in McKeesport PA, a son of the late Herman and Coral Pierce Matibe. Robert was a US. Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. He was a retired plumber for Cost Plumbing in Forest Hills and a member of Paintertown Lutheran Church. Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and playing dartball for his church. In addtition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife Rosemary Cupak Matibe, sons Richard and Jeffrey, brother Richard, and sister Betty Reon. Robert is survived by his son Dan (Yong Cha), daughters Cynthia Caninzun and Sue Matibe, grandchildren Alicia Veitch, Leeza Gordon (Casey), Aaron Caninzun, Christopher Matibe (Samantha), Michael Matibe, Diana Matibe, Amanda Bussard (Ben Hank), and Courtney Bussard, and great grandchildren Skylar, Landon, Sofia, Thea, Scarlett, and Robert. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8PM at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon PA 15642. A funeral service will take place on Thursday at 11AM in the funeral home chapel with private interment to follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Anna Lee (Roberts) Herrmann, age 74, passed away on January 13, 2024 at Jefferson Hospital.  Born April 14, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Roberts and the late Jean Louise Callewaert.  Anna is survived by her beloved children, Daniel (Michelle) Ellwood, John Ellwood, Maryjean Herrmann, and Rodana (Todd) Gorman.  Cherished Nana of Trisha Ellwood, Daniel Ellwood, Morgan (Nick) Beneke, Tyler (Alex) Ellwood, Dalana Gebis, Nicole Ellwood, Brooke Gorman, Aiden Gorman, Ava Ellwood, and Darrin Gorman; great-grandmother of Kaeden, Adryan, Katelynn, and Jayce.  Siblings, Marie (Pete) DeHerrera, Edgar (Janet) Roberts, John Hogan, Steven Roberts, Darrell (Pam) Roberts, and Julie (Robin) Barnes.  She was preceded in death by her son, Michael David Ellwood, and her sister, Leslie (Kevin) Bohannon.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.  Those who knew Anna will remember that her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immense happiness, and her greatest joy was found in spending time with her family.  Anna’s limitless kindness and caring brought many to regard her as family.  She was ‘mom’ and ‘nana’ to many of the friends of her children and grandchildren.  As a school bus monitor, she was the kindest of caretakers to her ‘children,’ going above and beyond to make their day special.  Anna most loved supporting her grandchildren by attending their sporting events, performances, and celebrating their accomplishments with them.  She enjoyed dancing, going to the beach, gardening, and baking sweet treats for her family.  Anna leaves behind a legacy of generosity and love, and it was rare to find someone who didn’t just adore her, even after just a short meeting.  Her family will forever carry the lessons of love and care that she brought to their lives.  Friends will be received at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Fri. from 6 to 8.  Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.

He was born May 12, 1924 in Sutersville, Pa., a son of the late Bruno and Lydia Saccani Landini. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Sutersville Lumber Co. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a military police officer having served during WWII. He was stationed in Washington D.C. and Massachusetts. He was born in McKeesport, PA on November 26, 1939 and was the son of the late Roy, Sr. and Virginia White Williams. He was the husband of the late Doris Kifer Williams, who died on August 14, 2023. Roy proudly served in the United States Navy. He was employed at USS National Tube, and was also a bus driver for Port Authority and McKeesport Area School District. He loved fishing, ice fishing, camping, and most of all spending time with all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him so much joy.
