Barbara A. Sanderson, age 73, of Elizabeth, formerly of McKeesport, died February 4, 2023, with her family by her side, at AHN Jefferson Hospital. Born April 4, 1949, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Elizabeth (Fleming) Thomas and the wife of Wayne A. Sanderson.
Barb retired from Forbes Regional Hospital of Monroeville, where she was a Lab Technician. She was a member of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish of Elizabeth. Barb was a volunteer at Kane Regional Hospital of McKeesport for many years. She truly enjoyed sharing her time with the patients. Barb was an animal lover as well, leaving behind her loyal dogs Zeus and Cash. She enjoyed shopping and always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren, especially on their lunch dates.

Mihalich, 96, died Feb. 4, 2023.  She is the daughter of the late James and Anna Dorazio and beloved wife of the late Joseph Mihalich.  Viola is survived by her sister JoAnn Francesconi; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Marie Sostaric and brother Frank Dorazio. She was a member of St. Joachim & Anne Parish.  Friends received at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Sat. from 10 to Noon, at which time a funeral service will be held at Queen of the Rosary Church with Father Miroslaus Wojcicki.  Entombment following Jefferson Memorial Park.

Kathy Louise Stanley, 62, of McKeesport passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023. She was born January 26, 1961 in Wilkinsburg, and was the daughter to the late Albert Obies, Sr., and the late Betty May Hockenbery-Bergman. Kathy was a very giving, loving, and fun mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. She was always the neighborhood mom, and her house was always the place to be for the kids to hang out growing up. She loved listening to James Taylor, playing Bingo, going on shopping trips, and passing time by playing games on her phone. She would snack on Milky Way bars and would eat the whole bag if her family would let her. She loved spending time with her whole family the most. Kathy always said she had 6 children, but one of them had 4 legs because her dog, Pickles, was her best friend.

Elizabeth “Betty” Margaret Rose (Lauman) Rhodes, 84 of Elizabeth Township, passed away on Saturday, February 4th, 2023, at Jefferson Hospital. She was born in Bedfordshire, England on August 3rd, 1938. Betty was the loving wife to the late Eugene M. Rhodes. She is survived by her daughter Alice (Wesley) Moyle of Youngwood, and sons Steve (Suzanne) Rhodes of Glassport and Eugene Rhodes of Elizabeth Township. Betty is further survived by grandchildren Ozzy, Amber, Betty Jean, Samantha, Wesley, Zairra, Christopher, Milah, Billy, Brandon, and Brittany, as well as great-grandchildren Kassidy, Logan, and Bowen. Additional relatives include her siblings Darla, Joyce, Sheila, and Cyril. She enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, knitting, and crocheting beautiful blankets for those she loved. Betty was greeted in heaven by her beloved husband, family, and dogs. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 9th, 2023, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at E.C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 235 Monongahela Ave, Glassport, PA 15045. A service will take place at 10 AM on Friday, February 10th, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park, located at 401 Curry Hollow Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to defray costs. She was born July 9, 1944 in the former St. Mary's Hospital in McKeesport  and was the daughter of the late John C. and Audrey L. (Black) Pringle. Loretta was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church and was also a member of the Teamster's Local Union. She was also a member of the former St. Pius V Catholic Church in McKeesport. Loretta was a Nurse's Aid at McKeesport Hospital for over 30 years and was a graduate of McKeesport High School Class of 1962.

Mildred J. "Midge" Boldy, 90, of Irwin, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born September 26, 1932, a daughter of the late Howard W. and Mildred F. (Crouse) Allen. Mildred was a homemaker and a member of Word of Life Church, Greensburg. She loved the Lord, studying His word, and remembering it in her heart.  She loved her family and especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who always made her smile.  Her memory will be held close to our hearts and her legacy will be remembered by the family who loved her so very much.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wrenwick Allen; sisters, Betty Paige, June Yater, Leona Mull and Irene Davis. She is survived by her loving husband for over 70 years, William Boldy; son, William Jr.; daughters, Deb Vozel and her husband, Jacob, Beth Mignogna and her husband Vincent; brother, Joe Allen; sisters, Sarah Mull, Thelma Allen, Mary Moss, Casey Allen and Ruth Allen; grandchildren, Meghan (Edward) Schmutz, Heather (Gregg) Cavaliere, Holly (Brad) Lentz, Lucas Mignogna, Evan (Kelly) Mignogna; great-grandchildren, Ella, Maddie, Jude, Cash, Jett, Nolan, Bree, Sadie, Riley and Elliana. Sisters-in-law Cecelia Maier and Henrietta (Fran) Popyack. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA 15642. John “Baldy” Marsico

John “Baldy” Marsico, 65, of Oklahoma City passed away peacefully at home on January 28th. He was born February 10, 1957 in McKeesport, PA and is the son of the late John and Shirley Marsico of Glassport, PA. John is preceded in death by his brother, Tony.

A graduate of South Allegheny High School, John proudly served in the U.S Air Force and retired after 20 years of service. He continued working for the Department of Defense for 15 years and received The Spirit Award.
Upon his retirement from the Department of Defense he enjoyed his family time and playing golf. He was a devoted Steeler fan, an avid reader and loved playing golf. He was lucky enough to be able to proudly boast getting “a hole in one.”

He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Des, and son Kyle. John is also survived by sisters Kathi (Hank) Buczynski of McKeesport, PA; Sandi Dyer of Bradenton, FL; Luann (David) Frye of Inwood, W. VA.; Shirley Jeanne (Gary) Beard of Bradenton, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Frank "Dutch" Bonadio of Elizabeth Township, passed on February 1 at the age of 95. He was Born in Vanderbilt, PA, and was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Pepe) Bonadio. Frank was devoted to his loving wife of 68 years, Lois (Bird) of Jeannette, who passed in 2018. Frank attended Glassport High School and joined the U.S. Navy in 1944 serving on Guam in World War Il then worked 44 years at U.S. Steel at Irvin Works and Southside as a computer scheduler. He was a former member of the Elizabeth Twp. Seniors, Glassport CMO and attended St. Joachim and Ann (St. Michael's Church) in Elizabeth Twp. He worked for Meals on Wheels and the Central Food Bank for many years. He enjoyed traveling, working on cars and anything to keep him busy around the house and helping everyone who needed advice or something fixed.

"Bob" Johnston, age 95, of White Oak, died at home on January 30, 2023.  Born December 22, 1927, in North Versailles, he was the son of the late Merrian and Mary (Morgan) Johnston and husband of the late Phyllis (Ryan) Johnston.  Bob was a member of McKeesport Gospel Hall, and his faith was a mainstay of his life.  He was a retiree of Innovative Carbide Inc. in Irwin and was an electrician at the former U.S. Steel National Tube Works.  Bob served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
