Mary E. Kraynak, 99, originally of Glassport died April 23, 2021 at The Palms at O'Neil. Born Oct. 15, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Carr) Chaputa. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Michael Kraynak.  She is survived by her son Jack (Jean) Florko; grandchildren Christopher Florko and Marjorie (Matt) Leaver and great grandson Varian Leaver and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by longtime dear family friend and her son of the heart, Kevin Maksin. 

She was preceded in death by her sister Helen Medved.  Mary was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church; Ladies Auxilary #803 VFW and Ladies Auxilary St. Ann Devine Redeemer

Barbara Jean Willard, 81, of Glassport, died April 15, 2021.  She is the daughter of the late Paul and Ella Mae (Boyd) Cupp and wife of the late Frank Willard.  Barbara is survived by her daughters Terry (Rick) Hughes and Cathy (John) Faye; son Frank Willard; grandchildren Abigail, Jordan, Hillary and Ben; sisters Shirley Barclay, Judy Yuhas, Jane Hopkins and Jacqueline Bilan; brother Carl Cupp and John Cupp; also niece and nephews.  She was preceded in death by son Michael Willard; grandson Justin; sister Armella Ruber and sister Francine Tibbs. Barbara was a very kind person that loved animals and fed the birds that came to her house everyday and loved her family very much.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Sun. from 4 to 7.

LaWanda (McDonald/Muscante) Krauth . . . LaWanda's kitchen is now closed! 

Born June 22, 1935 in Clairton, Pa went to sleep on April 13, 2021.  Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Emma McDonald, sister Emma Mae Gilligan and husband Dominic A. Muscante.  Also preceded in death by beloved husband, caretaker and best friend, Robert Krauth.  She is survived by her 7 children: Tammy Muscante, Cathy (David) Jay, Falco A. (Gina) Muscante, Anthony Muscante, Anna (the late George) Raine, Susan (Eddy) Medina and Dominic (the late Judy) Muscante; 9 Grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. One day viewing at Wojciechowski Funeral Home located in Glassport on Saturday, April 17, from 2 to 5.  Immediately following viewing, a memorial service will be held at the River City Church, formerly known as Glassport Assembly of God.  A private burial at Round Hill Cemetery at a later date.  LaWanda's wishes were for no flowers.  The family suggests that a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.  Thank You!

Zackaryasz, 91, of Glassport was called home to the Lord on March 28, 2021.  She is the daughter of the late  Samuel and Corrine (Framiglio) Semow and beloved wife of the late Leo "Zack" Zackaryasz.  She is survived by her son Robert Zackaryasz and grandsons Lee and Cory Zackaryasz.  She was preceded in death by her brother Phillip Semow and sister Mary Baker.  Philomena was a member of St. Mark's Parish.  Friends will be received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glasspsort on Thurs. from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  A service will be held at 11:30 am at the Jefferson Memorial Park Mausoleum

Gary W. Rae, 66, of Port Vue, died March 27, 2021.  He is the son of the late William and Edith (Clark) Rae and beloved husband of Barbara (McKnight) Rae.  Gary is survived by his daughter Kylee Rae; son Vincent Rae; step son Derek (Dayna) Roskovski; step daughters Crystal (Brian) Gregor and Samantha (Chris) Moxley; grandchildren Joshua Faulkner and Alexa Lasher; step grandchildren Andrew, Bella, Sean, Brian, Aiden, Logan, Gavin, Megan, Mason and Caden; daughter-in-law Deneen Sobota; sister Jean Puglin; also many “favorite” nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brother Darrell Rae.  Gary enjoyed football, baseball, country music, playing cards and hanging out in the backyard with his family and friends.  He especially enjoyed his yearly trip to Idlewild Park, where he took the entire family.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Thurs. from 2-4 and 6 to 7:30, at which time a funeral service will be held.

Bradley, 72, of McKeesport, died March 18, 2021.  He is the son of the late William E. and Jane (O'Donnell) Bradley.  He is the beloved husband of Patsy (Palmer) Bradley.  He is survived by his daughters Beth Ann (Pedro) Toledo, Melissa Houck, Claudia (Tony) Massie, Amanda (Carl) Houston and Billy Jean Bradley; grandchildren Brianna, Jaydyn, Wesley, Liliann, Travis, Carrson and Elijah; brothers Thomas (Rosemary) Bradley and James (Norma) Bradley; sister Jane Hawkins; also nieces and nephews.  Bill was a member of the McKeesport Alliance Church, where he was very active, and served in the US Navy, Vietnam War.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Sun. from 5 to 7 and Mon. from 10 to 1, at which time a funeral service will be held with Rev. Kevin Truman.  Interment following Richland Cemetery, Dravosburg.  In leiu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Missions for McKeesport Alliance Church.

Dolores M. Michalski, 88, of New Kensington, formerly of Glassport, died peacefully on March 13, 2021.  She is the daughter of the late Stephen and Nancy (Cologie) Cendroski and beloved wife of the late Joseph Michalski. 

She is survived by her daughters Sharon Michalski, Donna Michalski, Linda (Kevin Shields) Michalski and Darlene Michalski; grandchildren Nicole Horne and Chad Orr; sister Regina "Jeannie" Wickdal; and brothers Joseph (Donna) Cendroski and Gerald "Jerry" (Marcy) Cendroski. 

She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Cendroski. Anyone who knew Dolores knew she loved her family and baking. Those close to her enjoyed her lady lock cookies. 

Dolores was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church. A memorial mass will be held 10am Wednesday at St. Margaret Mary Church, 3055 Leechburg Rd. Lower Burrell, PA 15068. Inurnment following at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.  Funeral arrangements by Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport.

Russell Pishko, 69, of Glassport died Sunday March 7, 2021. He is the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Hopey) Pishko. He is survived by daughter Michelle Pishko; son Anthony Pishko; granddaughter Makenna Hayden; brother Michael (Kathy) Pishko; and ex-wife Vicki Trunzo. He is survived by his wife Robin Grimes; children Christa Kettler, Jessica Lesher, and Jay Pipp; grandchildren Dustin, Rylee, Karlee, Samantha, Ashlyn, Isabella, and Kaitlyn; step-daughters Heather Brady and Holly Baranowski; siblings Donald Boyce Jr., Valerie Stephenson, Diane Boyce, Rocky Boyce, and Keith Boyce. Pierce, 90, of Palm Bay, FL, formerly of Glassport died Feb. 3, 2021.  He is the son of the late James and Agatha Pierce, Sr. and beloved husband of the late Patricia (Bulger) Pierce.  He is survived by his son Richard (Molly) Pierce; daughter Patty (Greg Patas) Palmer; grandson Jeremy Pierce; great grandson Damien; sisters Roberta Pierce, Peggy Norelli and Mary Price; brother James "Skip" Pierce; also nieces and nephews.  Billy was a retired Pipefitter for General Motors, former member of Queen of the Rosary Parish and served in the US Navy.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Sat. from Noon to 1:00 pm, at which time a funeral blessing will be held.  

 


Amelia M. Mendicino

Amelia M. Mendicino, 92, of Glassport, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Born June 30, 1928, in Glassport. She worked at Kaufmann’s Department Store at Century III Mall for 24 years. She was a former member of the St. Cecilia Bowling League, loved to square dance for many years, and enjoyed years of working at the fish fries for Queen of the Rosary Parish. More recently, she enjoyed reading, building jigsaw puzzles, and playing Bingo and cards. She touched all who knew her in a beautiful way, and loved staying connected to family and friends through handwritten notes and cards for all occasions. 

Daughter of the late Dominic and Domenica Aquilante. She was married for 53 years to the late Leo A. Mendicino. Millie was most proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; daughters, Ann Bisignani and her husband Jerry and Dolores Colarosa and her husband Don; grandchildren, Brian & Allie Bisignani, Jeffrey & Aimee Bisignani, Nicholas & Hannah Colarosa, and Krista Colarosa; great grandchildren Kelsey, Josh, Ryleigh, Addie, Gannon and Callie; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary (Aquilante) DiIenno, and brothers, Pete and Nick Aquilante. 

The family extends a special thank you to Oakleaf Personal Care, her home for a wonderful and loving two years; and to Anova Home Health Care, who took such remarkable and loving care of her in her final days. Due to the pandemic, there will be a private viewing, funeral mass and interment. A celebration of her life will be held this summer for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oakleaf Personal Care Home, 3800 Oakleaf Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15227

Jean M. Capozzoli, 88 of Liberty Borough, died on Jan. 25,2021.  She is the daughter of the late Frank and Susan (White) Luketich and beloved wife of the late Dominic Capozzoli.  She is survived by her children Louise (the late Harold) Phillips, Thomas Capozzoli, Phyllis Capozzoli and Maryann (Raymond) Capozzoli Jarusinski; grandchildren Christopher, James, Brian, Natalie, Anthony and Taylor; 9 great grandchildren and her brother Frank Luketich.  Jean was a member of Queen of the Rosary Parish, Christian Mothers, and St. Cecilia's Bowling League.  Jean loved the casinos and had a heart of gold.  A funeral mass will be held Fri. 10:00 am at Holy Name Parish in Duquesne.  The family would like to thank the entire hospice team for their care they gave to their mother.  Funeral arrangements by Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport.
