Darlene A. Wagner, age 76, of Port Vue, died December 20, 2021, at Kane Community Living Center in McKeesport.  Born April 4, 1945, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of Rose (Yuscinsky) Judd and the late Eugene Judd.
Darlene worked in the office and as a clerk at Foodland in Homeville for many years.  She had a passion for shopping and all things retail, going out most days and always coming home with something new.
In addition to her mother, she is also survived by a sister, Sally Soles, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m.

Evelyn R. Montgomery

Evelyn R. Montgomery, age 81, of McKeesport, died December 8, 2021, at Manor Care of Shadyside. Born March 19, 1940, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Charles J. and Evelyn Ring.
Evelyn retired from Internal Revenue Service, where she was a taxpayer service representative. She also retired from the PA Unemployment Office and also went back to work with them just recently.  In her early years, she was a social worker at the Salvation Army Crisis Center of Pittsburgh. Evelyn also worked at Life Span Senior Center of McKeesport. She was a religious woman and was raised Protestant. Later in life, she converted to Catholicism and was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, and attended Corpus Christi Church. Evelyn enjoyed bingo and always thought mice were rather nice. She also enjoyed watching the Game Show network. Evelyn always loved and cherished her family.

Mark D. Fate

Mark D. Fate, age 57, of McKeesport, died December 10, 2021, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.  Born September 28, 1964, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Sandra (Davies) Stanley of Pittsburgh and the late Harold Fate and husband of Susan (Paul) Fate.
Mark worked for TDN Custom Contracting as a painter.  He was a proud Poppy who cherished spending time with his grandchildren on the bike trail, hikes at Dead Man's Hollow, and fishing on the river.  He was also the neighborhood dad, always willing to lend a hand.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Lexy (David) Handley, of White Oak and Marc (Samantha) Fate, of McKeesport; grandchildren, Mark, Felicity, and Kinleigh Fate; siblings, Harry Fate, of Elizabeth, Larry Fate, of Bethel Park, Angela Sweeny, of Gulfport, FL, and Jennifer Stanley, of Pittsburgh.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 7-9 p.m.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven, 2295 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com.

Colleen C. Wilson, age 94, of Port Vue, died December 8, 2021, at Independence Court of Monroeville. Born February 20, 1927, in Connellsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Helen (Freed) Cossell and the wife of the late Charles R. Wilson.

Colleen retired from the former Union National Bank of McKeesport, where she was a bank teller. She was a member of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish and attended St. Mark's Church of Liberty Borough.

Colleen is survived by her children, Jayme (Clinton) Gura of North Versailles, Patricia Jeanne (Gordon) VanKirk of Glassport, and Thomas C. (Dawn) Wilson of West Mifflin; grandchildren, Hilary (Jon) Onderisin, Colleen (Mark) Sears, Natalie (Hernan) Deviez, Jennifer Sikorski, Nathan (Amanda) Wilson, Aaron Wilson, and Jordan Wilson; great-grandchildren, Diego, Darion, Demitri, Chase, Samera, Camden, Hayden, Jonny, Maverick, Eli, and Dove; brother-in-law, Lawrence (Emogene) Wilson of Port Vue; also nieces and nephews.

Alfred G. "Fritz" Ewing, Jr., age 64, of Port Vue, died December 7, 2021. Born June 4, 1957, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Alfred G., Sr. and Mary (Clark) Ewing.

Al worked at the former Rustic Lounge of Port Vue. He was a member of the former St. Joseph's Church of Port Vue.

Al enjoyed hunting, hiking in the woods, and capturing photos of nature. He would always care for his family and help anyone in need. Al especially enjoyed dog sitting.

Al is survived by brother, James (Jeannine) Ewing of Port Vue; sisters, Judy (Adam) Blake of Elizabeth and Carol (Paul) Boyles of Port Vue; uncle, Ray (Carolyn) Clark of Perryopolis; nephew, Dustin (Noelle) Boyles of Port Vue; along with many other nieces and nephews.

Joseph C. Jordan, age 70, of White Oak, formerly of McKeesport, died December 6, 2021, at Canterbury Place. Born December 5, 1951, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Lawrence D. and Amelia (Gregory) Jordan, and best friend and life partner of Karen Miller.

Joe retired from Frank's Auto Supermarket, where he worked in the delivery department. He was a US Army veteran serving during peacetime. Joe had a passion for working on automobiles and building model cars.

Along with his partner, Karen, he is also survived by his children, Dominic (Ashley) Jordan of SC, Angelo Jordan of Mon-City, Robert Jordan of Wilmerding, Steven Estes of TX, Jim Jordan and Charity Jordan of McKees Rocks; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lois Slebodnik of Duquesne, Donna DeFrances, and Joanna Rodreiguez both of McKeesport; also many nieces and nephews.

Donna L. Egenlauf, age 88, of Port Vue, died November 24, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport. Born July 4, 1933, in Irwin, she was the daughter of the late Cloyd Carothers and Anna Newmeyer and the wife of the late Michael A. Egenlauf.
Donna retired from the Hamilton Hills Personal Care, where she worked as a CNA for many years. She also worked at the former Eastland Mall in the Public Relations Department. She was also known as "The lady who ran the Train," loving all the kids that came to ride. She was a former member of both the Liberty Presbyterian Church and Linway United Presbyterian Church. Donna enjoyed camping and baking. Although, her greatest joy was spending time with her family and hosting family parties. Her motto was always, "the more, the merrier!"
Donna is survived by her children, Michael F. Egenlauf of Glassport, Roy A. Egenlauf of McKeesport, Maryann Hornfeck of Port Vue, Gary J. (Annette) Egenlauf of Weirton, WV, Darlene (Roach) Richel of Port Vue, James (Kimberly) Egenlauf of North Versailles, Connie (Randy) Quiggle of Port Vue; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews.

John J. Gatchie, age 70, a lifelong resident of McKeesport, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital with his daughter Beth and his girlfriend Debbie by his side. He was born March 13, 1951, in McKeesport, the son of the late John Sr. and Catherine (Coulter) Gatchie. John was a United States Army Veteran who proudly served his country and in his early years, worked as a bricklayer/construction worker. Later in life, he worked for and retired from the City of McKeesport Parks and Recreation Department. John was a member of several organizations, including the AMVETS, 11th Ward Club, PNA, various American Legion Posts, the Moose Club, the VFW, and the Polaris Lodge No. 375. John had a passion for music and had an impressive collection of records that he would always play. He took great joy in teaching his granddaughters how to use the record player. He was known to always have the window open and the music volume up so all the neighbors could share that love of music with him. He enjoyed relaxing on his porch and welcoming his neighbor’s cat “Sid” to keep him company. Most importantly, John was a family man and spent a lot of time with his daughter, Beth, and granddaughters Kayla and Jenna. He was a man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anybody in need, and he will truly be missed.

Paul A. Ball, Jr., age 43, of McKeesport, died November 11, 2021, at home. Born October 20, 1978, in Pittsburgh, Paul was the son of Paul A. Sr. and Vivian (Knight) Ball. Paul was formerly a cook at both Houlihan's Restaurant and The Cheesecake Factory. He also previously worked at Mifflin Estates in the maintenance department. Paul enjoyed shooting darts, football, visits to the casino, and gaming at home. He is survived by his children, Kayla M. Ball of Irwin, Shania L. Yarris of West Mifflin, Erynn N. Ball of North Carolina, Aleysia L. Ball of Dravosburg, Camren J. Brady of McKees Rocks, Alonna J. Ball of West Mifflin, Brandon Ball of Elizabeth, and Tokyo M. Ball of McKeesport; granddaughters Raelyn Starek, and Alura Jacobs; sisters Henrietta M. Ball, and Felicia A. Ball; grandmother, Henrietta Young; also many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Azzie Ball; grandparents, Lauro and Azzie Knight.

Anthony J. Walsh, age 83, of Port Vue, died November 14, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital.  Born December 5, 1937, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Francis and Sarah (White) Walsh and the loving husband of Beverly (Kritikos) Walsh for 57 years.  Anthony retired from CP Industries as a millwright and also worked for U.S. Steel.  He enjoyed golfing and bowling, especially in leagues with his co-workers from CPI.  Anthony cherished time spent with his family during their Ocean City vacations.  He was a proud father and grandfather relishing Tony's musical talents, Sheila's accomplishments, and his grandsons for all graduating from college.

Daniel S. Vrabel

Daniel S. Vrabel, age 70, of Elizabeth Twp., died November 9, 2021. Born September 15, 1951, in Clairton, PA, he was the son of the late Albert J. and  Ann Carole (Humenik) Vrabel and the husband of Sally (Evans) Kail.
Daniel was a graduate of Clairton High School, received his Bachelor's Degree from Duquesne University, and a Master's Degree in Education from Tennessee State. He was a Radiologic Engineer for Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory. He also worked as a Russian translator and was an accomplished guitarist. Once retired, he and Sally moved to Tennessee where spent his free time playing tennis for a league, and was known for having a high amateur rating. Daniel also enjoyed golfing and spending time with friends, family and beloved dog Rosie.
Daniel is survived by his siblings, Victor, Vivian, Carole, Therese, Albert, Valerie, Paul,Celeste, Clare; and many nieces, nephews, including Derek Vrabel, a nephew with whom Daniel was very close.
In addition to his parents, Daniel was also preceded in death by his brother, Tim Vrabel.

August retired from U.S. Steel and also had a side business in roofing, siding, and painting.
August is survived by a son, Gary (Sheila Wallace) Gabris.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Feltz.

James enjoyed oil painting, playing the drums, and cooking.

Joyce Irene Philipp, age 53, of Harrisburg, died October 27, 2021, at Ortenzio Heart Center, of Camp Hill, PA. Born September 28, 1968, in Jeannette, she was the daughter of the late Edward Otto and Alice Marie (Harvey) Philipp.
Joyce was an in-home caregiver before her disability would no longer allow her to do so. She enjoyed cooking and sharing recipes on her Facebook page. Joyce found her true happiness in spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Ashley Marie Philipp and April Nicole Brown of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Edward and Ember Rose; sisters, Julie (Bryan) Inks of Somerset, and Donna (Jason) Weighley of Pittsburgh; also nieces and nephews.
