Ralph A. Yanez, 94 of North Huntingdon, died peacefully on October 11, 2024 at his home. He was born on October 24, 1929, in McKeesport, a son of the late Ralph and Sanjuana Jimenez Yanez. Prior to his retirement, Ralph was employed as a draftsman at Davo Company. Ralph was a retired veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and a member of the Disabled Veteran's Association. In his free time, he took pride in caring for his property and looked forward to spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Isabella, two brothers John Yanez and Joseph Yanez, and five sisters Antonia Yanez, Angelina Yanez, Concepeion Yanez, Virginia Yanez and Conchita Yanez. He is survived by five children, Ralph Yanez (Karen), Angelina Yanez, William Yanez (Deborah), Joseph Yanez (Karen), and Samuel Yanez (Carrie), grandchildren Danielle Kukic (Chris), Angelina Yanez (Andrew), Sean Yanez (Claire), Raymond Yanez (Casey), Katie Yanez (fiancé Jordan), Andrew Yanez, Addison Yanez, and Hayden Yanez, and great-grandchildren Emma, Luke, Riley, Avery, Wyatt, and Levi. Adela L. Senica, age 77 of Jeannette, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2024, while surrounded by loved ones. She was born on October 24, 1946 in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Wilbert and Louise Pollard Demorest. Adela loved to spend time with her family. Adela cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and homemaker, and she enjoyed listening to talk shows on AM radio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Demorest Sr. and Marvin Demorest, and one sister Charlene Kerlin. She is survived by two sons, David Senica (Cindy) and John Senica, one daughter Christie Senica, one brother, Wilbert Demorest, one sister Carrie Ruzyc (John), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joseph “Joe” Petras of North Huntingdon died October 3, 2024. He was born February 24,1932 in East Pittsburgh, Pa. Joe was a veteran of the Army serving in the 5th Army area during the period after the end of the Korean War and start of the Vietnam war achieving the rank of SP5. He was actively involved in electrical maintenance of the Nike Ajax Missile Defense system. Prior to his retirement in 1994, he was employed by Reliance Electric Co. for 35 years as a Senior Electrical Field Service Engineer. After retirement, Joe was an Electrical Consultant at Cleveland Price Inc. for 22 years. He was a member of Saint Agnes Church, and was very active in polka dancing throughout the years and did extensive video filming of the events for others to enjoy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Bernadine and brothers John and Steve. Joe is survived by his four sons, John (Jennifer), Bill (Diane), Robert( Marianne), Barry (Amy), grandchildren Tyler, Jared, William Ray, Angel, Christy, Mitchell, Andrew, Veronica, 4 great grandchildren and brother William Petras. Virginia Walsh, of North Huntington, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on October 4, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 1st, 1934, to Frank Di Brango and Maria Di Brango (Foglia) in Pittsburgh and grew up in the neighborhood of Larimer, where she met her late husband John ‘Jack’ Walsh. They had four children, John Walsh, Jerry Walsh, Ginger Schmidt (Walsh), and Frank Walsh. Virginia grew to be an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, having watched many seasons with her late beloved son-in-law, Mike Schmidt, and family. But watching her grandchildren grow on the soccer and baseball field, volleyball court, and theatrical stage gave her the greatest joy. She touched many by the beautiful blankets she knitted, a cherished hobby that warmed both the body and the soul. Virginia is survived by her two sons and daughter, Jerry, Ginger, and Frank (Teresa Bucco), and six grandchildren, Kelly Walsh, Mike Schmidt (Lisa Schmidt), Steve Schmidt (Miranda Schmidt), Andrew Walsh, Jack Walsh and Coleman Walsh, and three great-grandchildren, Landon, Tenley, and Brooks. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son John Walsh, and son-in-law Mike Schmidt. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the James W. Linda L. Deal, age 79 of North Huntingdon, passed away on October 2, 2024, at Redstone Highlands Greensburg. She was born on November 3, 1944 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Kenneth Moore and Hazel Latshaw. Linda enjoyed gardening, and she devoted her life to caring for her husband and family. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by two sisters, Carole Young and Donna Deal. To know her was to love her. Julie A. Geiger, age 45, of Adamsburg (formerly of Paintertown), passed away September 28, 2024, at her home. She was born on January 2, 1979, in Pittsburgh as the youngest of Walter and Polly Geiger. She graduated from Penn-Trafford High School in 1997. Julie was employed with AHN Premier Medical Associates-Imaging. Her past 2 1/2 years were challenged by glioblastoma, which never dampened her kind spirit.

Cecelia Cheravich, age 94 of North Huntingdon passed, away on September 27, 2024 at UPMC East. She was born February 18, 1930 in Scott Haven, PA, a daughter of the late Andy and Jennie Stepaniak Koshar. Cecelia was a member of St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon and a long time member of the Emerald Club where she served as the president for several years. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as the Deli manager for Super Dollar in White Oak and later was employed by Shop and Save in the meat department. Cecelia was an avid Steeler fan and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Cheravich, and a brother William Koshar, She is survived by her loving daughter, Joann Bazanos and her husband Pete, step daughter, Denise Davis and her husband Wesley, one brother, Andy Koshar, 4 grandchildren, Olivia and Julia Bazanos, Wesley Davis (Crystal), Christopher Davis (Cindy), 6 great grandchildren, Peyton, Ava, Alyssa, Kylie, Carson, Vanessa, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jeffrey Steven Pivarnik, age 55 of North Huntingdon, died peacefully on September 26, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 19, 1969 in McKeesport. Jeff is preceded in death by his mom, Charlotte (Renda) Pivarnik. He is survived by his father, Steven M. Pivarnik of North Huntingdon, his brother, Jamie S. Pivarnik (Wife Renee) of North Huntingdon, two nephews, Mason and Maddox, many cousins, co-workers, and friends. Jeff was a graduate of Norwin in the Class of 1987. He took pride in his work as a Laborer at Mele Construction and will be missed by his many co-workers. Jeff was recently diagnosed with stage-4 metastatic cancer. Margaret L. Simon, 93 of Buena Vista passed away peacefully September 25, 2024, at her cherished family farm. Born to Eli Ross and Margaret Toth Ross on November 26, 1930 in New Castle, Pa., Margaret moved to Elizabeth Township in 1940, where she lived for the next 84 years until her death. Margaret was a true life-long farmer and was awarded a college scholarship from the Future Farmers of America, which she declined in order to marry the neighboring farmer, her beloved husband, Julius Simon. Julius preceded her in death in 1999. Margaret was an avid reader and self-taught oil painter. She enjoyed puzzles and games, and deeply loved her family. Never afraid to speak her mind, she often said that she was not opinionated...she just knew what was right and wasn’t afraid to say it! Margaret was a talented storyteller. She was strong in her faith and a member of Round Hill Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. In addition to her husband, Julius, Margaret was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Tim Kenney. She is survived by her three children, Margaret Kenney, Julius Simon (Karen), and April Ball (Ken); her grandchildren, Joseph Kenney (Molly), Christian Kenney, Margaret Rose Moreno (Rafael), Shannon Casillas (David), Joy Simon, Ezra Ball, Simon Ball (Frances), April Autumn Sultana (Jean Emmanuel), Esther Ball, Abigail Ball Hollern (Jenn); and her great-grandchildren, Emilio, Eliana, Diego, Liam, Freddie, Rainer, Eva, Gia, Skye, Nathaniel Julius, and Bea. Virginia Irene Ciccarelli, age 95 of North Huntingdon, passed away on September 24, 2024 at UPMC East in Monroeville. She was born on September 15, 1929 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late John Rice and Virginia Ann Kowalski. Virginia was a graduate of California State University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in teaching, and she later earned her master's degree from the University of Maryland. She was a beloved kindergarten teacher at Calverton Elementary School in Maryland. In her free time, Virginia loved card games and was an avid Bridge player. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dominic Ciccarelli, two brothers, Raymond J. Rice and Donald R. Rice, and one sister Eleanor Vugrincic. She is survived by four sons, John J. Ciccarelli (Karen Taylor), Daniel J. Ciccarelli (Virginia), David A. Ciccarelli (Cyndee Julian) and Stephen M. James C. St. Clair, age 85 of North Huntingdon, passed away on September 19, 2024, at his home. He was born on May 23, 1939 in Blairsville, a son of the late James St. Clair and Ethel Smith St. Clair. James was employed as an automobile mechanic at Delaney Chevrolet in Indiana PA. He was a longtime member of New Hope Presbyterian Church where he worked as a custodian, and also served as a volunteer fireman at the Blairsville Fire Department. In his free time, he loved to hunt, fish, travel, and work on cars. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Pletcher St. Clair in 2021, one son, David St. Clair, and one daughter, Karen Campion. Richard R. Gonzales, age 76 of North Huntingdon, passed away on September 22, 2024 at Westmoreland Hospital. He was born in New York City on October 11, 1947, a son of the late Raymond Gonzales and Margaret Lichney Gonzales.
Richard was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a bus driver for Norwin, Penn Trafford, and Latrobe School Districts. Richard was a member of Word of Life Church in Greensburg, Teamsters 301 of Jeannette, and VFW Post 781.
In his free time, Richard was an avid outdoorsman and he also loved to cook. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his son, Richard Gonzales Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Gonzales, 3 daughters, Tricia Gonzales, Rachel Gonzales (fiancé Jeff Fanala), and Tiffany Gonzales, three stepchildren, two grandchildren, L.J. James R. Crowe Jr., age 85 of North Versailles, formerly of McDonald, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Point Pleasant in North Versailles. He was born on July 29, 1939 in McDonald, a son of the late James R. Crowe Sr. and Jennie Behling Crowe. James was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps prior to his employment as a steel worker for Pittsburgh Forgings in Coraopolis. He was a member of McDonald Presbyterian Church and McDonald Volunteer Fire Department. In his free time, James enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maryann Margerum Crowe, and two sisters, Wilma Davis and Dolores Eckles. Alec S. Patterson, age 21 of North Huntingdon, passed away unexpectedly from a heart condition on Sunday, September 8, 2024. He was born on January 31, 2003 in Monroeville, a son of Shawn Patterson and Patricia Novak Patterson. Alec was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Irwin, and a graduate of Norwin High School in the Class of 2021. He had a passion for music, was a talented pianist, and loved to play the tuba in the Norwin Band. Alec was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree with dual majors in both Secondary Education and History. He was a Da Vinci Scholar and earned a spot on the Dean's List during all four years of his schooling. Following his collegiate graduation, Alec became a Student-Teacher at Greater Latrobe High School, a role which he cherished. Alec was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary Jane Patterson, and maternal grandparents Paul and Mary Lou Novak. In addition to his parents, Alec is survived by his paternal grandmother, Sandra Patterson (and the late Duayne Patterson), cousins, Alexander, Michael, Natalie, Annie, Gracie, Jimmy, Mila, Aubree, Noah, and aunts & uncles, Paula, Marianne, Kerie, Lee, and Dean.
