Jean E. Fitzpatrick, age 94 of North Huntingdon died January 17, 2020 at UPMC East, Monroeville. She was born June 8, 1925 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late D.J. and Elizabeth Biddlestone Roderick. Jean enjoyed golfing, traveling, cooking, pinochle, and was a lifelong bridge player. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, baby boy Fitzpatrick; great-granddaughter Chloe; sister, Doris McDonough; niece and nephews, Betsy, David and Kevin. Thomas H. Spahr, age 74 of North Huntingdon died January 18,2020 at his home. He was born May 23, 1945 in Greensburg, a son of the late Charles and Alice Herold Spahr. Tom was the store manager of Miller Feed Store in Irwin for many years. He was the past president of the Norwin Lions Club, 11th Armored Calvary Association, Norwin VFW Post 781 and a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Miller, He is survived by his wife Donna Dunkle Spahr, one daughter Maryah Spahr,one sister Bonnie Koury, brother in law Bill Miller, sister in law, Susan Dunkle, numerous nieces and nephews. Patricia L. Tucci Pollock, 59, of Irwin, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020. She was born May 2, 1960 in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Leonard and Mae (Piovesan) Tucci. Patty enjoyed being outside doing yard work and tending to her flowers, going to the beach, playing cards and loved being with her children and grandchildren. Sophie Andrejkanic, 93, formerly of White Oak, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2020. She was born April 28, 1926 in White Oak, a daughter of the late George and Anna Kitz. Sophie was a member of AARP Versailles Chapter 9211, St. Robert Bellarmine Church, and former member of the Wilmerding YMCA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Andrejkanic; sons-in-law, John Kostik and Robert L. Brown; brother John Kitz; and sister Annette Hoffman. Philip A. Cramer, 70, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2020. He was born June 3, 1949 in McKeesport, a son of the late Henry Philip and Clarice (Edwards) Cramer. Prior to his retirement, Philip was employed by McDonalds and was an avid Steelers fan. He enjoyed playing the bass and classical guitar, working on cars, and loved cats. Donald E. Dudik, 87, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020. He was born May 21, 1932 in Port Vue, son of the late Michael and Pearl (Klaja) Dudik. Prior to his retirement, Don was a pipe inspector for US Steel and a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. He enjoyed gardening, listening to Oldies music and was an avid Steelers fan. Dorothy Ivan/Evans Manzlak, resident of North Huntingdon, PA, formerly of Glassport, born to the late George and Susan (Timura) Ivan of Glassport, died in her one hundredth year on January 15, 2020. Graduated as the class Salutatorian, she was the last surviving member of Glassport High School Class of 1938. A member of the former Holy Trinity / St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in McKeesport, she was a past president of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and Ladies of Charity, was awarded the Diocese of Pittsburgh Ladies of Charity Service Award Medal, and founded the Holy Trinity Widows' Support Group. She was a church choir member where the Salesian-published poem she wrote, "Night of Nights," was set to music and sung at midnight mass. She also served as Glassport's Judge of Election, was a Girl Scout Leader, a past president of the Glassport Women's Club, past secretary of the Pittsburgh District of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, and an active volunteer and board member of the former Glassport Public Library. A resident of Redstone Highlands since 2013, she was known as the "poet" for her spiritual poems, several of which were published by the Salesians in their anthology books and booklets. Much to her delight, two were chosen for the Salesian Golden Book of Poetry placed in the Vatican Library and several are posted on the Salesian website. At Redstone, she formed many friendships among residents, staff, and caregivers. She considered each of them as additions to a loving family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John (Munzie) Manzlak in 1981; a sister, Regina in 1920; half-sisters, Mary Gyurisin, Elizabeth Kushner and Elizabeth Maharik; half-brothers, George and Michael Ivan; son-in-law, Pete Riesberg; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is survived by daughters, Daria Riesberg of Alamo, CA and Dr. Audrey (Timothy) Quinlan of North Huntingdon; two grandchildren, Tara (Bill) Willenbrock of Chantilly, VA and Daniel (Deanna) Quinlan of Cranberry; one step-grandson, Derik Riesberg of CA; three great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. Giovanni Tommasi, 81, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020. He was born, October 30, 1938 in Sicily, Italy, a son of the late Emanuele and Rosa Tommasi. Giovanni worked in the textiles manufacturing industry and was a member of St. Agnes Parish. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and watching Italian soccer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Rosa Tommasi. Bernard "Bernie" Edward Arndt, 77 years old, died of natural causes in his North Huntingdon home on January 5, 2020. He was born on February 16, 1942, to Albert Leo Arndt and Bertha Ann Bachus Arndt. Bernie proudly served in the Marine Corps for 4 years, stationed in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and in Cuba where he received several medals and accommodations for good conduct, national defense service metal, rifle expert badge and pistol expert badge. September 1968, Bernie married, the love of his life, Luanne "Lu" Nicole. Bernie and Lu were the proud parents of one son, Richard "Richie" Arndt. Bernie's work career included a long-term employment with Beckwith Machinery and Cleveland Brothers at their Murrysville site where he worked in computer programming and software troubleshooting. Bernie loved to travel both nationally and internationally with his wife, as well as taking Lu antique shopping and to craft shows. He also enjoyed taking his sister, Bridget, gambling. He was a long-term resident of the Penns Woods community in North Huntingdon where he enjoyed sitting on his porch people watching and talking to the neighbors. He also enjoyed supporting the many events sponsored by the Penns Woods Civic Association. Bernie loved his family and his country. He was known for his sarcastic sense of humor. He is predeceased by his wife, Luanne; and his son Richie, as well as his siblings, Anna Mary Schwan, Joseph Arndt, Paul Arndt, Delores "Dee" Ley, and Walburga “Bridget” Arndt. Joseph W. Teamann, 76, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019. He was born January 20, 1943 in Rankin, a son of the late Arthur and Cecelia (Ridge) Teamann. Prior to his retirement, Joe was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service in Irwin and a veteran of the US Navy having served during Vietnam. He was president of NALC, National Association of Letter Carriers, former president of St. Agnes Athletic Association, coached various sports teams at St. Agnes including softball and ran Bingo. He had a passion for horse and dog racing and enjoyed watching various sports.
