Nellie Ruth (Rugg) Faix, 88, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Elizabeth Township, went to be with the Lord and joined her beloved husband "Pete" on Tuesday January 17, 2017. She was born April 3, 1928 in Fort Hill and was the daughter of the late Simon Peter and Jennie Marie Phillippi Rugg. She was the wife of the late Earl F. "Pete" Faix who died January 15, 2008. They were married for 57 years.

He was born January 9, 1959 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Glenn and Irene Treager Bupp. Glenn worked for US Steel Edgar Thompson Works in Braddock. He was an avid Softball player and Duck Pin Bowler. He enjoyed riding his quad with his grandson Justin and loved watching the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Katherine E. Kreiling, 92, of Greensburg, formerly of Boston, died Saturday January 7, 2017. She was born July 19, 1924 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Katherine Ditter Kreiling. After her mother passed away, she and her sister Evelyn were raised by the late Albert and Angela Thomas. Katherine served in the Korean War in the Army Nurse Corps. She had also worked in hospitals in Norfolk, VA, St. Petersburg, FL, and the VA Hospital in Aspinwall. She was a graduate of the Braddock General Hospital School of Nursing. Katherine was a member of the Corpus Christi Parish, McKeesport.

Michael Bilak, Jr., 84, of Elizabeth Township, died Saturday January 7, 2017. He was born December 19, 1932 in Port Vue and was the son of the late Michael and Anna May Kyne Bilak, Sr. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic in Elizabeth Township and was also a member and Eucharistic Minister at the former Holy Trinity Church in McKeesport. Michael was a US Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. For his service, he received the National Defense Service Medal. He was retired from the Tube City Beer Distributor in McKeesport.
