Trisha Lyle Ten, 49, of Elizabeth, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 after a courageous, hard fought 7 year battle with sarcoma. She was born October 24, 1971 in McKeesport and was the daughter of M. Patricia (Aranyos) Lyle and the late John C. Lyle After graduating from Slippery Rock University, where she was a beloved and fun member of Alpha Xi Delta, she moved to Albuquerque, NM. There, she impacted the lives of students and fellow educators during her decorated career at Albuquerque Public Schools and as the director of special education at Cottonwood Classical Preparatory School. While in Albuquerque, Trisha was a foster mom to her very special son Rob. After moving back to Pittsburgh, she continued her fight at Hillman Cancer Center where she endured her treatments with her trademark grit, stubborn nature and sense of humor.

Patricia retired from Rite Aid and had previously worked at South Hills Health System, Sears, and the Bettis Atomic Lab. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, baking, word searches, and having a glass of beer at the end of the day. Patricia was an avid Pittsburgh Sports Fan.

James "Jim" L. Petro, 84, of Leesburg FL, formerly of McKeesport, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021. He was born August 9, 1936 in McKeesport and was the son of the late John and Margaret (Bugan) Petro. Jim is an Army Veteran and served in Germany during the Berlin crisis. He was a proprietor of Premco, Inc., a machine shop in Christy Park before retiring to Florida. He coached the St. Angela Bruins boys and girls basketball teams, taking his teams to multiple section and diocesan championships. He was a member of the St. Angela Merici Parish, the White Oak American Legion Post 701, and was the Secretary of Premco Golf League.

Flora was a longstanding member of Faith Lutheran Church in White Oak. She was a homemaker, worked at Johnston the Florist, and was active with the Girl Scouts, Port Vue Athletic Association, South Allegheny Football Boosters, Cub Scout Den Mom, and the Pastels Bowling League. She was also an Amateur Artist and was a member of the McKeesport Artist Guild. She loved nature and enjoyed watching the birds, squirrels, chipmunks, turkey, rabbits, fox and deer in her backyard.

He was a graduate of McKeesport High School, obtained his B.S. in Mathematics from the West Virginia Wesleyan College and his M. ED. from the University of Pittsburgh. Donald worked as a Mathematics teacher for Elizabeth Forward School District, where he retired after 31 years. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in White Oak, where he held numerous leadership positions during his lifetime. These included many years as chairperson of the staff Parish Relations Committee and the church's delegate to the Western Pennsylvania Annual Conference. Donald was an avid reader, he enjoyed playing golf and was a member of several leagues, and was also a member of the Mon Yough Church Dartball League.

Mary Elaine (Lewis) Angeloff, 86, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Saturday June 5, 2021 at home, after losing a valiant battle with lung cancer. She was born on September 16, 1934 in West Elizabeth, the daughter of the late William J. and Margaret (Leightley) Lewis. Mary started working in finance at the former Haines grocery store on Route 51 by Century III mall and then worked as a lead teller for the Pittsburgh National Bank in McKeesport for nearly 20 years. In her spare time and hobby, Mary was fondly called the “cookie lady” and actively involved in supporting the community for over 30 years by literally baking thousands of dozens of homemade cookies for weddings and other special events and celebrations around the Pittsburgh area.
