Anna R. Grygo, 90, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021. She was born July 12, 1931 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian E. (Reitz) Krutz. She retired from Chubb and Son Group Insurance Company as an Internal Auditor. She is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Grygo, daughter, Dr. Patricia A. (John Hogan) Jameson of Pittsburgh, brother, Paul (Carmella) Krutz of Greenock, grandsons, Robert T. Jameson and Thomas S. Jameson, and nephews, Vennie (Terry) Krutz and J. Anthony (Suzanne) Curcio. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Joseph Jameson who passed away August 9, 2016. There is no visitation. Pamela Lee Readel, 68, of White Oak, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021 with her children by her side. She was born December 6, 1952 in Mckeesport and was the daughter of Evelyn (Fravega) Schaffner of Versailles and the late William Schaffner. Pam was retired from Rivers Casino. She was a loving mother and grandmother and her life revolved around her grandchildren. She was always available to help and give of her time to others. Pam loved to cook and entertain family and friends. She was a fanatical Pittsburgh Steeler fan and was known to many as "Mama Pam". In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Charles (Laura) Readel of North Huntingdon and daughter, Tricia Kaylor of White Oak, brothers, Brian (Linda) Schaffner of Monroeville and Billy Schaffner of Versailles, grandchildren, Joey Readel, Christian Readel, Mia Perri, Karli Kaylor, Addison Readel and Quinn Readel, nieces and nephews and her granddogs, Queenie and Jacoby. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Staci Marie Perri and brother, Kim Schaffner. Jay Z. Zaracki, 58, of McKeesport, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021. He was born July 23, 1963 in Braddock and was  the son of the late Joseph Z. Zaracki Sr.  and Mary Ann (Norman) Zaracki Costello of McKeesport.  Jay worked many jobs throughout his life as a carpenter and as a groundskeeper at Braddock Catholic Cemetery. He was a good, easy going guy and will be missed. In addition to his mother, he is survived by brothers, James (Debbie) Zaracki of Carnegie, Joe Zaracki, and Jarrett Zaracki of McKeesport, and Johnnie Zaracki of Brookline, sister, Jerry (Dan) Keenan of Las Vegas, NV., and nieces and nephews. She worked at the former Norwin Diner as a waitress, was a manager for 10 years at  Stop n 'Go  and later was an assembler at the Pittsburgh Reflector Co, and worked as a Nanny. Shirley always put others before herself, was a very hard worker, loved animals and took in several foster children.

Joshua A. "Deck" Decker, 39, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021. He was born January 26, 1982 in McKeesport and was the son of Alberta (Paul Paterra) Decker of McKeesport  and Gene (Theresa) Lakovic of Clairton.  Josh loved spending time with his friends, who were like family to him. He and his wife, Stacy would travel with friends to attend music concerts across the country.  He also enjoyed visiting to Disney World, going to the movies and attending Pirates games. He was a fan of all the Pittsburgh sports teams. Deck also had a special interest in horror, true crime, Cryptozoology and ufology. Josh also enjoyed trying new and exotic food, whether it be at home or traveling with his wife and friends to different restaurants.  He will be greatly missed.

James "Jim" Murphy

James "Jim"  Murphy, 94, of Duquesne, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021. He was born May 16, 1927 in Rankin and was the son of the late William "Bill" and Helen (Ursing) Murphy.  Jim was a World War II Veteran who served in the US NAVY.  He was a graduate of both the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and Penn Tech. He would go on to work as the building and grounds supervisor at Bettis Lab in West Mifflin.  Jim was an avid tv watcher, especially science programs and loved getting new tvs.  He enjoyed going on many cruises with his companion, Martha. Jim was a good man and a hard worker, he will be greatly missed.  He is survived by companion of 37 years, Martha Ann Davis, daughter, Deborah Lynn Murphy of Pittsburgh, sons, James Brian Murphy of Pittsburgh and Paul Murphy of Swissvale, sister, Helen Morris of Chicora, PA, and grandson, Raymond of Pittsburgh. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Catherine Murphy, and brothers, Edward "Buster" and William Murphy. Following Jim's wishes, there will be no visitation.
