George F. Mancz, 84, of Boston, formerly of McKeesport, died Saturday May 27, 2017 at home. He was born October 22, 1932 in Darlington, and was the son of the late George and Mary Schimpf Mancz. He was the husband of the late Shirley M. Forster Mancz who died October 19, 2011. They were married for 59 years. George was retired from US Steel Duquesne Works and was a member of the Eleventh Ward Welfare Association and the Renzie Seniors. He is survived by his sons, Robert (Linda) Mancz of Liberty Borough and Michael (Susan) Mancz of Penn Trafford, daughter, Barbara (Raymond Reitz) Wilson of Greenock, grandchildren, Dianne (Mark) Suckfiel, Eric Mancz, Shane Reitz, Zachary Mancz and Jacob Mancz, great-grandchildren, twins, Evie and MJ Suckfiel, and nieces and nephews.

Mercedes Jane Gibbons, 95, of White Oak, died Thursday May 25, 2017. She was born May 31, 1921 in Port Vue and was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Hornyk) Billy. She was the wife of the late John J. (Bus) Gibbons, founder of the Gibbons Real Estate Agency, who died June 7, 1985. Mercedes graduated from McKeesport High school in 1938 and served on all the reunion committees. After graduating from Robert Morris University, she worked as the secretary to the Metallurgist at U.S. Steel until getting married. She was a faithful member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in McKeesport and was a former choir and council member and president of the W.E.L.C.A.

Mary “Marie” Sladics died peacefully on May 21, 2017 at the age of 96 in High Point, NC. Born to the late Nicholas and Anna Vrabel in Benscreek, PA, Marie grew up with six brothers. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis Sladics. Marie is survived by her daughter Sara Dalton and her husband John of Archdale, NC; her son Louis Sladics and his wife Jackie of Westerville, OH; her daughter Mara Stephan of McKeesport; and by her brother Fred Vrabel and his wife Elaine of Portage, PA. Anna Mae "Bubba" Fecik, 87 of McKeesport, died Saturday May 13, 2017. She was born May 22, 1929 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Paul and Anna Boziecevic Rupcic. Anna Mae was a member of St. Angela Merici Church in White Oak where she in the church choir in the 1980's and early 1990's. She was a retired clerk for Allegheny County Recorder of Deeds and had worked there for 19 years. She previously worked for Thorofare for 25 years. Bubba enjoyed Tamburitza and Croatian Music and loved to collect cookbooks and recipes. She also made excellent strudel. She was a hard worker and worked till she was 75 years old. She was a mom and gramma and loved her family very much. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mary Ann "Mimi" Fecik of White Oak, grandchildren, Steven C. Fecik, Erin Wallace, Valerie Lynn Khaskin, Boris Khaskin, and Katelynn Fecik, and great-grandchildren, Giovanna, Fiona, Boris, Penelope and Caleb Lee.
