Barbara K. Evans, age 68 of North Huntingdon and formerly of Elizabeth Twp., passed away at home surrounded by her family on Friday, November 15, 2019. Born March 3, 1951 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Andrew John and Helen (Reed) Kish. A graduate of Elizabeth Forward HS and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Barbara worked as a teacher for the McKeesport School District and was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in North Huntingdon. In her spare time, she loved to cross-stitch and crochet, garden, dance, and was an active participant with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Most of all though, Barbara was committed to her family and loved to spend time with her children and be "Meme" to her adoring grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 46 years Pat Evans; her children Laura (Kevin) Ward of Gibsonia, Brian (Theresa) Evans of North Huntingdon, Maggie (Brian) Carlton of North Huntingdon, and Elizabeth (Adam) Holy of Valencia; her grandchildren Benjamin and Zachary Ward, Katelyn and Madelyn Evans, and Miles Carlton; her siblings Ruthan (Paul) Rodibaugh of Elizabeth Twp. and Reed (Colleen) Kish of Columbus, OH; and also many cousins, in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Stanley C. Pomycala, age 93 of Pasadena, MD and formerly of North Versailles, passed away at the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, MD. Born August 14, 1926 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Charles C. and Mary (Busch) Pomycala. A graduate of McKeesport High School, Stanley worked as a manager for the former A&P Market, a custodian for East Allegheny School District, and with Westinghouse Corp. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of the American Legion Post # 701 of White Oak and the Senior Citizens of North Versailles. In his spare time, Stanley was an avid softball player, loved playing cards, slot machines, and games on his tablet, and, most of all, adored spending time with his granddaughters and great-grandchildren.

Gerry C. Cope, age 75 of Clairton, took his last breath at 10:24 AM on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at his home. He was an electronic technician for U.S Steel, Clairton Works for 39 years. Gerry was also a Veteran serving during the Vietnam War, a former teacher of hairdressing and a hairdresser at John Cesko's in McKeesport, a former DJ at Charley J's in North Versailles for 16 years, sang in the doo-wop group The BelAirs, was a Mason in Chapter #162, and a member of the Knights Templar. Born October 8, 1944 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Charles H., Jr. and Jenny (Gladkowski) Cope. Gerry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara Alice (Lloyd) Cope; daughter Laurie (James Bayto) Stonick of Clairton; son Gerry C. (Barbara Payo) Cope, Jr. of Clairton; grandchildren Gerry C., III, Christopher, Dylan, Jayden, Jackson, and Aria Cope, and Thomas and Tyler Deliman; brothers Jay (Sharon) Cope of North Carolina and Wayne (Pam) Kucich of White Oak; and also nieces and nephews.

He was an Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart in January 1966 while serving with the 173 Airborne. Elizabeth "Betty" (Vitelli) Rothbauer, age 94 of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Arden Courts. Born March 26, 1925 in Blythedale, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Zelinda (Martinelli) Vitelli. She worked as an accountant for US Steel, Clairton Works for 67 years, and was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish and its choir, a former member of Wilson Italian Club, and a member of the American Legion Daniel Keffer Post #75 Ladies Auxiliary, all of Clairton. Betty joins her husband, the late Anthony J. Rothbauer, Sr., who passed away November 7, 2010; her son Anthony J. Rothbauer, Jr., who passed away June 4, 2014; siblings Clyde, John, and Joseph Vitelli, Rose Morock, Ida and Mary Meredith, Violet Salesi, Zelinda "Lena" Arilotta, and Florence, Frank, and Anthony Vitelli. Ruth Ann Holmes, 79, of Lambertville, NJ, formerly of Elizabeth, passed away in her sleep on October 17, 2019. She earned a master’s degree focused on communication handicaps from the University of Pittsburgh. An avid skier, she spent a few years skiing with friends in Vail, CO after graduating. She returned to Pennsylvania to be near her family and taught Special Education in the Amish and Mennonite communities in Lancaster County. She later moved to Princeton, NJ where she met Don Griffin, her husband of 29 years. Together they organized a food co-op in their home and managed the recycling program in Lambertville, NJ, her home for 44 years. Ruth Ann taught Special Education in the Trenton school system and traveled extensively in the summers. She was a talented gardener, an avid reader and loved a succession of dogs and cats.

A member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton and retired waitress at Mowry's Restaurant in Pleasant Hills, Irene was preceded in death by her husbands Harry Minjock, Jr. (who died November 14, 1964) and Nicholas Fera (who died June 21, 1983;) her daughter Barbara Ann Minjock (who died December 17, 1964;) and her brothers John, Bernard, and Thomas Toth. She is survived by her brother Raymond (Patty) Toth of Martinsburg, WV; her nieces and nephews; and her dear friend and caregiver Paul S. Julian of Clairton.
