A retired Registered Nurse Manager at Monongahela Valley Hospital, she was also a Registered Nurse at St. Margaret's Hospital and Allegheny General Hospital. She was a member of Bethesda United Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth and the Mon Valley Nurses Club.

Charles W. "Chub" McGowan, age 96, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Clairton, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Landmark of Baton Rouge. He was a former maintenance superintendent for P.I.C.C.O./Hercules in Clairton, and Exxon in Baton Rouge. He was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge. An Army Air Force veteran serving during WWII, he was a member of American Legion Post 38 in Baton Rouge and the "Lucky Bastard Club."

She was employed for many years in the banking industry at both Equibank and Integra Bank in the Pittsburgh area. She enjoyed traveling and was a former member of First Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth.
