Cheryl (Moore) Nemerovsky age 62, passed away at Sycamore Estate in Duquesne on July 31, 2019 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Cheryl was born in Pittsburgh on June 11, 1957 to the late Harry Rudolph Moore and the late Patricia (Gordon) Moore. Cheryl was predeceased by her husband and soul mate, Mark Louis “Nemo” Nemerovsky. Cheryl is survived by her sister, Carol Bee Moore; her brother, Harry R. “J.R.” Moore and sister-in-law, Leeann Moore; sister-in-law, Becky Nemerovsky; nieces, Carrie Rost Brickman (Bryan) and Stacy Rost Noll (Ryan); nephew, Sean Harrison Moore; Mark's nieces, Kandice Lee (Leonard) and Kayla Williams (Ceasar); two great-nephews and four great-nieces; and Mark's four great-nieces and nephew. Cheryl was administrator and founding partner for 31 years of Sycamore Estate Personal Care Residence. Cheryl graduated in 1975 from Elizabeth Forward High School, a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh school of Business, Duquesne University Paralegal Program and Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing; an RN and also EMT/Volunteer Treasurer of Duquesne EMS for 22 years. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2019 at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne. 412-466-3300. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church of Duquesne, 719 Duquesne Blvd., Duquesne 15110. Rev. Judy Slater will be presiding. Gene Wesley Errett, 85, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in Texas.  He was born August 21, 1933 in Greensburg, son of the late William R. and Hazel (Rosensteel) Errett.  Prior to his retirement from the military, Gene was an E-7 Helicopter Maintenance Supervisor for the US Army.  He was a member of Norwin Church of the Nazarene, American Legion and was an avid outdoorsman.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Errett; daughter, Cheryle Hill; son, Gene Wesley Errett Jr; brothers, William R. Jr. and Homer Errett; and nephew, Ronald Errett.  He is survived by his children Paul Errett, Dale Errett, Dan Errett, Cynthia Williams, Diana Williams, Gary Williams; grandchildren, Christopher, Rochelle, Christopher, Jacqueline, Dan Jr., and Anna; and five great-grandchildren. Born February 7, 1981, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Greg and Susan Ballough Pastor. Chris worked in the airline industry as a mechanic. Besides his parents he is also survived by his paternal grandparents, John and Evelyn Pastor, a brother, Matthew Pastor, a sister, Allison (Elliot) Halley, two nephews, Sabastion Halley and Jackson Pastor, two nieces, Aubriana Halley and Kaylin Pastor, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Inc., Richford and Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne. Joseph Borrelli, 98, Life-long resident of Glassport, passed away on Tuesday, July 30th, 2019 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born September 26th, 1920 to the late Nicolangelo and Giulia Borrelli. Joseph was the loving husband of the late Sally Sulesky. He is survived by his daughter Mary Ann (Joe) Maher of Endicott, N.Y., grandchildren: Eric (Michelle) Maher of Endicott N.Y., Beth (Tim) Fives of York, Pa., and Patrick (Shivani) Maher of Santa Barbara, California. Great-grandchildren: Julia, Ethan, Natalie, Kathryn and Joshua, and many nieces and nephews. Joseph was preceded in death by his brothers, Louis (Stella), Anthony (Marie), Vincent (Susie), and Nick (Marilyn), and sister Mary (Duane) Molinaro. Joe served in the Navy in the Caribbean during World War II, as a Radio Operator for the Air Control Tower. He was also previously employed at P&LE Railroad, Peoples Gas company, and owned Borrelli’s Café for 32 years in Glassport. He was a member of the Glassport American Legion, Sons of Italy (past president 3 times), and faithful member of the Queen of The Rosary Church. He was a world traveler, and he enjoyed making homemade wines, cooking, and spending time with family and friends at gatherings. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, from 12-6, at: E.C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 235 Monongahela Ave, Glassport, PA 15045. "The Old Man" Campion, 64, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019.  He was born November 7, 1954 in Bethel Park, son of the late Vincent and Erna (Steitz) Campion.  Prior to his retirement, Ron was a music teacher for Bethel Park School District for 30 years.  He played with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and was inducted into the Festival of Music Hall of Fame.  He was a civil war enthusiast and enjoyed gardening.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Andrew McQuiston; sister, Marie Campion; and brother, Karl Campion.  He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Pletcher Campion; son, Roland Campion and his wife, Colleen; daughters, Marie Campion and her fiance, Bradley Gillespie, Eva Campion (Michael Babilya); brother, Kevin (Linda) Campion; sisters,  Debra (Arthur) LaNoue, Nadine (Steve) Dunn, Bernadine Campion, Patrice (Todd) Krut; grandchildren, Kelly and Owen Campion; and sister-in-law, Cheri Campion.  There will be no visitation.  Arrangements made by James W. He served proudly in the United States Coast Guard on the Great Lakes, as Chef at the Carlton House in Pittsburgh and then in law enforcement for many years. Retirement wasn’t in his vocabulary as he remained busy with family, work and following his favorite teams, the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers. He loved his family, pets and helping others. He spent many years volunteering with the Blue Knights. He is survived by his beloved partner Shirley Zito, daughters Dana Pfeil Lynn and Kayla Pfeil Hanavan, grandson Gavin, granddaughter, Ava, father William Burks, sisters Susan, Debra, Judith and Laura, Uncle Glen Pfeil and multiple cousins. Preceded in death by mother Dolores Burks, grandparents George and Gladys Pfeil.

William J. “Jack” Deanhardt, Jr., 88, formerly of Venice, Florida, passed away peacefully in Columbia, South Carolina, on July 27, 2019.  He was born January 31, 1931, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, son of the late William J. Deanhardt, Sr. and Edith Hendrickson Deanhardt.

Jack leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Audrey; his son, David J. Deanhardt (Julia) of Clatskanie, Oregon; his daughter, Barbara D. Corpora (Ronald) of Columbia, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Matthew (Kristen), Christian, and Miranda Corpora, Geoffrey, Austin, and Andrew Deanhardt; as well as four great-grandsons, Matthew, Samuel, Gabriel and Thomas Corpora.  He is also survived by his brother, Donald J. Deanhardt of The Villages in Florida.

After graduating from McKeesport High School in 1949, Jack attended Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania, before enlisting in the United States Air Force.  Lieutenant Deanhardt proudly served for five years as a navigator/bombardier on a B56 bomber.  After leaving the service, he became an agent for Nationwide Insurance Company.  He owned and operated the Deanhardt Agency in White Oak, Pennsylvania, for 35 years.

Carm was preceeded in death by her brother Domenic Quattrociocchi.  She was a graduate of the Clairton High School in 1945. Carm was a previous member of St. Paulinus Church, for which she used to volunteer. She later became a member of St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton. He worked for over 31 years as a MI Writer working with manufacturing blueprints for Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh. After retiring, he worked in the tri-state area setting up Hallmark Card displays in stores. He is survived by his wife of over 58 years Georgeanne W. (Wallace) Faison; children Michelle (Paul) Wassel of Scottdale and James R. (Bernadette) Faison Jr. of Murrysville; grandchildren Mallory Schank of McKeesport and Ross Schank of White Oak; and sister Margaret Roy.

She was born June 30, 1928 in Colver, Pa., to Tullio and Maria (Parissenti) Cavatoni. Teresa was a R.N. at the Bruceton Research Center and previously served in the USAF from 1950-1965 after she graduated from the Windber Hospital Training School for Nurses in 1949.

Teresa was active at the Jefferson Hills Women's Club and volunteered at the food bank in Duquesne and with the Ladies of Charity at St. Thomas  a Becket Church. She loved family, cats and gardening.  

Teresa is survived by her two sons, Tim (Kathy) Banfield and Mike Banfield; a sister, Edith Zawiskie; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joshua Charles (Josh) Boucek, 41 of McKeesport, died Thursday, July 18, 2019.  He was the son of John and Elsie Parton Boucek.  Josh was a collector with many interests.  He was highly creative and a talented artist.  He loved animals and nature, and was an avid hiker on the Yough Trail.  He worked for the Carnegie Free Library of McKeesport for several years before becoming involved with e commerce.  Josh is survived by his mother, sister Julie Kobesky, brother-in-law Daryl and niece Ania, sister Janet Fellows, nieces Liz, Holly and Allie, brother-in-law Chris Fellows, aunts and uncles, and cousins, Linda and Keith Donati, Jess Horenstein, Keith and Tina Parton, Janet and Chuck Waugaman, Chelsea and Gretchen, Jeff and Kathy Boucek, Katie and Johnathan, and many extended family members.  A memorial service is planned for later this fall.  Contributions may be made to the McKeesport Trail Commission, or to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven, a no kill animal shelter.  Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA  15132 is in charge of arrangements.

Richard “Dick” J. Lewis, 78, of Irwin, passed away peacefully at home Monday, July 22, 2019. He was born February 18, 1941 in Braddock, a son of the late Thomas J. Lewis Jr. and Virginia L. (Wescott) Lewis. He was a 1959 graduate of Jeannette High School, and a long time member of First Presbyterian Church, Greensburg . Prior to his retirement, Dick was a plant manager of Latrobe Foundry, Whitney and served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was an avid Steeler fan, loved hunting and fishing with his dad, cousins, and nephews. Dick was an animal lover and will be missed by his “grand –dogs” Zuzu , Lucy, Stella, and Stanley. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his beloved nephew Kevin Thomas Pushic. Harold “Archie” Lauterbach, 90, a lifetime resident of Clairton, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Ashbury Heights Nursing Home. He was born in Clairton on March 3, 1929 to the late Peter Joseph and Caroline DeBor Lauterbach. Harold was a well-known figure in the community of Clairton. As a young man he played baseball for United States Steel, Clairton Works. His participation in a “mill team” was a significant part of Pittsburgh history, as noted in an exhibit at the Heinz History Center. He went on to become Facility Manager of Calgon’s packing & shipping facility in the Robinson area of Pittsburgh, a company where he worked for 30 years. Harold drove and helped deliver Meals on Wheels for many years in the Clairton community. Harold volunteered his time at St. Clare of Assisi, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved classical music and the symphony. He is survived by his sister, Doris Mae Manns of Scottdale, nieces and nephews; Michele Bamburak, Eric Manns, Mark Manns, Amy (Joseph) Eichenlaub, Paul (Melissa) Manns, Russ (Colleen) Halt, Beth Mellott, and Carol (Alan) Schriber, Great nieces and nephews; Laura (Josh Warner Burke) Bamburak, Aaron Bamburak, Noah Manns, Savanah Manns, Chloe Eichenlaub, Logan Eichenlaub, Jeremy Halt, Caitlyn Halt, Mikayla Halt, Nathan Mellott, Lily Mellott, Ricky Mellott, Mark Schriber, Leighann Washburns, Great-great nieces and nephews; Quinn Warner Burke, Jake Washburns, and Kaylee Washburns. She was a former Deacon for Central Presbyterian Church, and a current member of Sampson’s Mills Presbyterian Church. She was formerly a member of the McKeesport Hospital Junior Women’s Committee and a former member of the Board of Directors of the McKeesport Hospital Foundation. She loved the holidays, playing bingo and cards, cruising, and having fun with family and friends.

Jean Margaret Riley, age 89, of Wilkinsburg, passed away July 19, 2019.  She was born in Pittsburgh on Nov. 10, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Leslie M. and Margaret Skidmore Reese and the wife of the late Philip J. Riley.  She was a member of the Pittsburgh Irish Center for many years.

She is survived by her son, Philip J. (Karen) Riley VI of Monroeville; daughters, Margaret A. (Scott) Gibson of N. Versailles, Mary L. (Michael) Hutchinson of Greensburg, Jean A. Brian Lawrence Hetrick, 21, of North Huntingdon died at home on July 16, 2019. He was born February 28, 1998 in Greensburg, the loving son of Warren Hetrick and Marina Venturelli. In 2002, Brian became the older brother to his surviving sibling, Alex Hetrick. Brian was a 2016 graduate of Norwin High School. He was about to begin his Senior year at University of Pittsburgh, Greensburg, where he was a Dean’s List student after transferring from WCCC in 2018. He also worked at Kohl’s, North Huntingdon for the past few years.
 
Brian was a good kid. He didn’t do drugs, never got into trouble, and hardly drank. He went to pre-school at Calvary Preschool Center, attended first grade at West Hempfield Elementary before transferring to Sunset Valley Elementary, and continued his high school career at Norwin School District. He received First Communion and Confirmation at St. Agnes Church.
 
He played soccer for many years at the Norwin Soccer Club, playing for coach Seth’s Travel Team, and later for the 9th Grade High School Team. He went on to play for WCCC his freshman year in college. He also participated in martial arts, T-ball, baseball, basketball and track growing up. Brian spoke Italian, and he loved travelling to Italy to visit his Nonni, and especially adored being with his two young cousins there, who took to him so much. He also enjoyed beach vacations growing up, and being with his good friends Marc, Cayden, Cam, Kevin, and many other special friends from all parts of his life.

Born and raised in McKeesport, PA, Michael was a Korean War Army Veteran, attended Robert Morris College, and worked for 32 years for U.S. Treasury Department as an IRS Agent.  He was a member of Brentwood VFW, Brookline American Legion, Dormont AARP, and a longtime member of Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church in Brookline and recently St. Richard Catholic Church in Gibsonia.  In his retirement years, Mr. & Mrs. Riley traveled extensively in the U.S., Canada, & Europe.  The Riley's moved to Gibsonia in 2015 to be near family.

He retired as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service on the North Side. As a child, he was on the safety patrol in elementary school, sang in the youth choir, and served as an altar boy. In his 20s, he took the Civil Service test and passed with a score of 93. Stanley delivered mail to Art Rooney, who often gifted him with a cigar or two. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pirates and faithfully followed both teams on television. On March 22, he celebrated 15 years of sobriety and being smoke-free. He prided himself on living his life "one day at a time."

 Thomas (Tommy) Joseph Mawritz, age 60, of Port Vue, PA formerly of Glassport, PA passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019. Born on September 11, 1958 in McKeesport, PA he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Campayno) Mawritz.

Tommy was a graduate of South Allegheny High School. He was a pre-press manager at Comprint Inc in Gaithersburg, MD. After spending 19 years in the Washington, DC area, Tommy returned home. Soon he became involved in coaching youth football with the South Allegheny Youth Football Association. He loved coaching and was recognized with the Pittsburgh Steelers MVP Award for his commitment to the Association and the players despite his many health issues. In addition, the Tom Mawritz Extra Effort Award was created by the Association and is given each year to the player who never quits trying. Tommy was also an avid Pitt fan and will be missed by all who knew him.

Tommy was preceded in death by his beloved brother Dr. Kenneth J Mawritz Sr. He is survived by his sister Nancy (Mawritz) George and her husband Joseph of Germantown, MD; sister-in-law Natalie (Shadwick) Mawritz of Collegeville, PA; nephews Kenneth Mawritz Jr. and his wife Mary of Havertown, PA, Jason George of Rockville, MD, Brendan George of New York City, NY, niece Holly L. Mawritz and her husband Jonathan Goodroad of Glenside PA; and his five grandnephews and niece Logan, Liam, Lucas, Levi and Madeleine.

Adrienne Ann Kapisak of Greensburg, formerly of Port Vue and White Oak, died Sunday, June 30, 2019. She was born in McKeesport, PA on June 25, 1943 and is the daughter of the late John and Anna Pribish Kapisak.  She is survived by cousins and friends.

She graduated from McKeesport Hight School, Class of 1961, the Indiana University of PA with a BS in Ed., and received her M.Ed. from the University of Pittsburgh. Adrienne pursued further education during her teaching career though National Science Foundation grants at various schools throughout the United States.

Elizabeth "Libby" R. Capozzi, 89, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, July 1, 2019.  She was born February 7, 1930 in Herminie, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Irvin) Medley.  Prior to her retirement in 1993, Elizabeth was the office manager for Hussman Corporation.  After her retirement she ran her son's business, Capozzi Transport and was a member of St. Agnes Parish, North Huntingdon.  Libby was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who was always there for her family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Capozzi; and her daughter, Karen Winter.  She is survived by her son, Michael Capozzi and his fiancee, Terri Emory; granddaughters, Angela (C.J.) Hines, Georgeanna (Steve) McCloskey; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Canyon Hines, Kara (Donavin) Gray, Jonathan Capozzi, Anthony and Taylor McCloskey.  Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon on Tuesday  from 3-7 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Agnes Church with Msgr. Paul Fitzmaurice officiating.  Entombment will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Circleville Vol. Fire Department.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com

Mary I. “Marie” (Frydrych) Plecenik, 96, of East McKeesport, died Saturday, June 29, 2019. She was born May 19, 1923 in South Wilmerding, a daughter of the late Antonio and Mary (Dlugosz) Frydrych and was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Stephen C. Plecenik and brothers Blanchard, Edward, Henry, and Chester Frydrych. Marie was an employee of Westinghouse Airbrake Co., Wilmerding from the early 1940’s until she married her husband in 1949. She was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church and was an avid bowler with her husband at Great Valley Lanes. She was very proud of her Polish heritage. Surviving are her children Marian (Art) Belotti and Mark Plecenik; her grandchildren Christina (Marty) Moyer and Annette (Nathan) Suwalski; three great grandchildren Breanna and Dylan Suwalski and Levi Moyer; also nieces and nephews.
