Philip C. Helderlein, 86, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2024, surrounded by his family. Philly, or “Butch” as many of his friends and loved ones called him, was born on September 20, 1937, in McKeesport Hospital to Philip and Eleanor Helderlein. He grew up in Glassport, PA, and graduated from St. Peter’s High School in McKeesport, PA. Phil was the second generation of sign makers continuing to operate Helderlein Signs, a staple of the McKeesport community, which was in business for a remarkable 94 years.

Rosemary (Rose) L. Davis, 70, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of Mingo Creek Park in Nottingham Township, passed away on Wednesday, July 10th, 2024 in her home with her husband by her side. She was born October 21st, 1953 in Monongahela. She is the daughter of the late Mary Ellen Yohe – Shibbler and late Lloyd H. Kimple. Rose was a kind, loving, generous wife, mother, grandmother, and humanitarian. She dedicated herself to those she loved and cared for. Rose was employed at Kane Hospital for 35 years, where she served as Union Steward for Laborers #1058, and retired as a Recreational Therapist Aide in 2015. She was extremely involved with the patients and in post retirement she would still volunteer on occasion. Rose also worked a second job on weekends at Mon Yough Services for 16 years and was recognized for her hard work and dedication to the community. Upon retirement Rose would spend her time with her loving husband Scott Davis. They spent many weekends camping and enjoyed winters in Florida with her family. Rose also devoted a lot of her time to family. She would spend many hours in the summers with her son and his children at Grandma’s Cabin. Then during the school year, she would often be seen driving to Ringgold or WVU to assist her granddaughters. She was a loving pet owner through the years. She grew up surrounding herself with horses on her family farm and eventually would own some herself. She also spent hours with her dog Odie and he has not left her side for a year. Rose enjoyed her retirement spending time with her husband and family, camping, traveling, time with friends, taking walks or small trips, going to concerts, cooking, baking and gardening. Rose was extraordinary with the love, compassion, and kindness she would demonstrate. It truly was her special gift; she was a warrior and a light in so many people’s lives. Rose is survived by her dedicated and loving husband of 30 years Scott Davis of Jefferson Hills, son Joshua Kaska of the Mid-Atlantic, daughter Noel (Jeffrey) Skorvan of Carrol Township, five grandchildren Alexa, Kylie, and Ava Skorvan, and Julian and Victoria Kaska. In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her brothers Kent and Bernie Kimple. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, July 21st, 2024 from 4:30 P.M. – 6:30 P.M. at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. A service will take place 6:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Donna Faye Maglicco, 72 of North Huntingdon died on July 10, 2024 at her home. She was born on October 26, 1951 in Mckeesport, a daughter of the late Charles and Flo Lowery Roler. Prior to her retirement, Donna was employed by Maracini's in the meat department. She later enjoyed babysitting for various families.  Donna enjoyed volleyball, gardening, her pets and spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Jr. in 2015.  She is survived by her beloved husband, Bruce, her daughter Marcie Tanner (Tony), a sister, Cheryl Timko (Ronald), one grandchild, Jennifer, and four great grandchildren, Kaylee, Lydin, Madelyn, Rose. Theodore L. "Teddie" Gibasiewicz, age 58, of McKeesport, died July 8, 2024, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Born August 23, 1965, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Leonard and Kathleen (Rhinehart) Gibasiewicz and the husband of Tracie (Horvath) Gibasiewicz.
Teddie was retired from the Mckeesport Daily News, where he serviced daily accounts until the closure of the paper. He attended the former St. Mary's Czestochowa Church of Mckeesport. Ted had a passion for both antique and muscle cars, loved animals, and was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers football fan.

James Ray Stevens, 84, of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away on June 25, 2024.

Born August 2, 1939 in Clairton, PA son of the late James and Louise Stevens. Jim who was a proud Navy Veteran, lived a very fulfilling life. Friends and family knew Jim best for his ability and enthusiasm to fix, repair and improve any and everything. It stemmed from his time in the service paired with a successful career journey working for both US Steel and General Motors. 

Jim will be remembered by his favorite hobbies, especially RVing and traveling with his wife Ruth (Cochenour) Stevens.  Jim spent much of his time on his prized passion of golf.  He was well respected in tournament play and had recorded one ace (hole-in-one) in his career. Jim was a proud member of several fraternal organizations including, Freemasons (33rd degree) and a dedicated Elks Lodge Member.
