Dolores Buchman Reichman, 95, of White Oak, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025. She was born February 15, 1930 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Berti and Helen (Mermelstein) Buchman. Dolores was the wife of the late Harry Reichman. She was a member of the Gemilas Chesed Synagogue and its sisterhood there. Upon graduation from the Winona School of Professional Photography, she became one of the first female photographers in the area. She started her career in photography at her family business, Buchman Photography, where she had many local and national achievements and accolades. She also owned and managed the former Three Rivers Beauty Supply where she oversaw 24 employees and was involved in all facets of the business. In 1986 she closed the business after 25 years of service. She was also a staff member with Barbara Hafer, former PA Auditor General and Treasurer. Dolores was also a member of Hadassah- The National Council of Jewish Women. She had a special place in her heart for The Sisters of The Divine Redeemer in Elizabeth Township who included her in their 1959 Yearbook for her photography skills. She will be greatly missed.

Sheila Ann Staley, age 81, of McKeesport, formerly of White Oak, died March 25, 2025, at Montefiore Hospital. Born December 22, 1943, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late John "Chick" and Eileen Lindberg and the wife of the late Delwyn Staley.
Sheila was a sweet individual whose kindness touched the lives of everyone she met. She found deep joy in the simple pleasures of life-Sunday visits with family, reliving treasured memories while driving through old neighborhoods, and stopping for ice cream along the way. A devout Catholic, Sheila regularly attended Mass and participated in the rosary, finding comfort and strength in her faith. She embraced life with a spirit of joy evident in her love for crafts, Wii bowling, and the camaraderie of bingo nights. Sheila will be fondly remembered for her infectious smile, her gentle giggles, and the warmth she brought to all who knew her.

Royal Lee Harper, 7 months, of McKeesport, passed unexpectedly on May 3, 2025. Born September 8, 2024, he was the son of Arielle Harper. Affectionately known as "Baba Man" and "Mr. Smiles," he brought an abundance of joy to all who knew him. He was a happy baby whose laughter and sunny disposition illuminated the lives of his family. He had a special fondness for watching Paw Patrol, which always brought out his radiant smile.

Deborah L. "Debi" (Caster) Geissler, 67, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at home. Debi was born September 11, 1957 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late William J. and Betty Jane (Swindell) Caster. She worked for Advent Communications for many years in the accounts payable department. Debi was a very private person, but also touched a lot of people throughout her life and had many people rooting for her through her illness. She was the most selfless person you could ever meet and her family and granddaughters meant everything to her. She truly lived for her family. Debi will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Keith M. Geissler; son, Derek (Carly Straight) Geissler; daughter, Tara (Shawn Shiffler) Geissler; her beloved granddaughters, Riley M. Geissler and Kennedy G. Shiffler; aunt, Janet Cant; her Sinnamond Family; cousins and extended family; and her beloved dog, Zoey.

Daniel Edward “Zedo” Jacobs, 85, of Port Vue, passed away on Tuesday, May 13th, 2025 at his home. He was born in North Braddock on June 9, 1939, to the late Stephen and Mary Elizabeth Jacobs. Daniel was the loving husband 55 years to the late Nancy Cole Jacobs. He is survived by his daughter Holly (George) Hartung of Port Vue, son Daniel (Nicole) Jacobs of Clairton, grandchildren Logan, Jace, and Hunter, as well as nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents and wife Nancy. Daniel was preceded in death by his brother S. Gilbert Jacobs and beloved dog Lynyrd. He was previously employed at U.P.S., was a Port Vue police officer, and worked at William H. O’Brian Construction. Daniel was trained as a Master Mechanic but was also a Jack-of-all-trades and a “Mr. Fix it”, which he used to help many people in his life. He was a member of the Port Vue United Methodist Church and was also a Mason. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. A service will take place Friday at the funeral home at 10:00 AM to be followed by interment at Jefferson Memorial Park. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his loving wife Sally Jo. Children Karen and Johnny. Grandchildren Little Johnny and newborn Kimberly. John was a devout member of the Queen of the Rosary Church his entire life. He served as an alter boy at the church as a young child. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball when he was a teenage boy. He was enlisted in the Navy from 1951 until 1955. He served aboard the USS Battleship Missouri and the USS Battleship Wisconsin during the Korean War. John worked for Westinghouse in Glassport as a Coil Winder for 30 years. He was also affiliated with the Men’s Softball League in Glassport in the 1980’s as a player and a coach. He was a member of the Polish National Alliance. He played basketball on an “old-timers” pickup league until he was 70 years old. John loved to watch all types of sports. He especially loved tending to his garden and yard.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in his honor at St. Joachim & Anne Parish Queen of the Rosary in Glassport on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 starting at 10 a.m. Immediately followed by interment at Saint Mary Czestochowa Cemetery in White Oak.

Rosemarie (Intrieri) Ali, formerly a long-time resident of Glassport, age 87, died peacefully at Concordia in Monroeville on Monday, May 12, 2025. Rosemarie was the wife of the late John Ali for 46 years.
She was the loving and devoted mother of JoAnn (Patrick) Niehl of Penn Twp., Lawrence (Vicki) Ali of Greensburg and Linda (Jerry) Morle of TX.
Rosemarie was the proud grandmother of Kayla Marie (fiancé, Garrett Cockeram) Ali, Lucas (Alexia) Ali, Logan (fiancé, Olivia Mansier) Ali, Michelle (Andy) Kulaszewski and Amber (James) Shelton.

Sherma Feldman Fiedler, age 98, passed away peacefully at her home in Lake Worth, FL, on May 5, 2025. Sherma was born in Pittsburgh on January 28, 1927, to Maurice and Lillian Feldman. She graduated from Taylor-Alderdice High School, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Pittsburgh. In her youth, Sherma studied dance with Gene Kelly, who went on to be a film star. At Pitt, she met Morton I. Fiedler, who had just returned from his tour of duty as the commander and pilot of a B-17 in the Eighth Air Force, based in England. The two married on Sherma’s 21st birthday. They moved to White Oak, where they raised their family. They were members of Temple B’Nai Israel, and Sherma was active in the temple sisterhood and sang in the adult choir under the direction of Cantor Gold. They were also members of Baldoc Hills Country Club. In the 1970s, the Fiedlers moved to Chicago, and Sherma enjoyed working as an official during election years. When the couple retired to Lake Worth, FL, Sherma was a regular duplicate bridge player, and took up tennis with her friends in their community. She is pre-deceased by her husband of 70 years, and her sister Elaine Friedlander. Survivors include her children Nancy Fiedler Millman (Jeff) of Cave Creek, AZ, and David Fiedler (Becky), Barrington, IL. She is also survived by her granddaughters Amy Fiedler, M.D., San Francisco, and Morgan Delack (Nathan) of Barrington, IL, and two great grandchildren, Hannah and Caleb Delack. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to her devoted caregivers Francine Fenelon and Marie Mode Coulanges.

Joseph William “Bill” Smart, 79, of Elizabeth Township, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 2, 2025, at his home in Naples, FL. Born on February 12, 1946, in Elizabeth to the late Charles Ritchie and Mildred (Gephart) Smart, Bill lived a life defined by devotion — to family, country, community, and faith. Bill dedicated much of his career to General Motors as a skilled Machine and Vibration Analyst, where his sharp mind and steady hands earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike. A proud U.S. Navy Veteran, he carried his sense of duty and service into every chapter of his life. A man of deep faith and generosity, Bill was a devoted member of Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, where he served not only as a elder but also as a joyful presence in the choir, a tireless volunteer, and a beloved cook at countless church gatherings. His love for music was a lifelong passion, bringing him great joy as he sang with the Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church Choir, the Vanderbilt Presbyterian Church Choir in Naples, FL, and the Everglades Barbershop Quartet. His rich tenor voice lifted spirits and built community wherever he went. A lifelong learner and nature enthusiast, Bill was an avid reader and an expert on birds, able to identify their calls with ease. On the golf course, his competitive spirit was matched only by his love for the camaraderie of the game.

Timothy "Ace" Paul Lawrence, of McKeesport, passed away on May 6, 2025, his 63rd birthday. He was born on May 6, 1962 and was the son of the late Andrew and Dorothy (Frinsco) Lawrence. He worked for Aramark in Beverage Sales at the Pittsburgh Stadiums which he enjoyed. He also enjoyed attending the McKeesport Community Day events, he loved music and playing his guitar. He will be missed by his sister, Dorothy "Sunny" Popp of McKeesport and nephew Kelly "Kip" Kaylor of White Oak. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Lawrence. Ramon "Tony" A. Rivera, Sr., age 69, of McKeesport, died May 9, 2025, at Heritage Care Center. Born March 21, 1956, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Lydia (Willis Turner, Sr.) Rivera and the late Ramon Rivera.
Tony was a passionate NASCAR fan, eagerly anticipating the thrill of each race from the comfort of his living room. He also had a profound love for dogs, always sharing his home and heart with his loyal companions, who brought him endless comfort and happiness.

Charles “Willie” Valvo, age 90 of Clairton, PA, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 in Allegheny General Hospital of Pittsburgh. Born June 16, 1934 in Fredonia, NY, he was the son of the late Angelo and Anna (Gambino) Valvo. Willie was a US Army Veteran, served in the Korean War and was the recipient of a Purple Heart. He was a retired operator for the Clairton Municipal Authority, member of the American Legion, Daniel Keffer Post #75, and devout member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton. Willie is survived by his wife of 61 years Marlene J. (Lepri) Valvo, his children Ralph A. (Kelly) Valvo and Maryann (fiance Ed Opst) Cross. He also leaves behind his loving grandchildren Adam, Logan, and Morgan Valvo and Josh and Kirstie (A.J.) Corsan; his great grandchild Leo Corsan, his sister-in-law Beverly Mazza of Clairton and many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Willie was preceded in death by his siblings Ross Valvo, Nancy Behary, Tony Valvo and Jack Valvo.
