Eleanore B. (Jacko) Kinsey, 91, of Irwin, passed away peacefully Tuesday September 20, 2016 at Walden’s View, North Huntingdon. She was born February 2, 1925 in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Kurutz) Jacko and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Marianne Kinsey, her son, Thomas L. Kinsey Sr., and siblings, Robert Jacko, Viola Kampert, Irene Braddock, Margaret Kyle, and Robert Jacko. She was a graduate of Norwin High School, class of 1942 and a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Irwin where she sang in the funeral choir and was a member of Christian Mothers.

He was an Army veteran of WWII having training in England for two years before taking part in the D-day invasion on Normandy Beach then fighting thru France, Germany, and Belgium. He was a retired manager for Keystone Plumbing Sales Co., with forty years’ service; a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church, East McKeesport, where he served and an usher; and was a volunteer at hospitals and nursing homes. He is survived by his wife, Agnes A. (Casey) Kettering; his daughter, Terri Kettering of New Milford; his grandchildren, Casey T. (Scott) Maxwell, and Richard E., and Benjamin J. Yannella; and nieces and nephews including special niece Casey Haftl.

She was born August 2, 1931 in Irwin, the daughter of the Wiley and Minnie Davis. She was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Irwin and was past treasurer of the Golden Echoes and a member of the funeral choir. She was a graduate of North Huntingdon High, the Business Careers Institute and the Westmoreland Community College. She retired in 1996 from West Penn Power after 20 years, and had also worked as a clerk in the Jeannette City Administration Offices for several years.
