Gerald Walton Christian, 65, of McKeesport, PA departed this earthly tabernacle on December 13, 2024. Born November 19, 1959, in McKeesport, PA. He was the son of the late Charles Clark and LaRelda Eileen Christian. Gerald was a 1977, graduate of McKeesport High School where he starred in three sports. Upon graduation, he attended New Mexico Highlands University and Marshall University on a football scholarship. Gerald was preceded in death by his father Charles Clark, aunts Annette Beulah Shark and Ada Younger, uncles Herbert Christian and Gary Christian. He is survived by his three sons Gerald Jr. (Collen) of Bel Air MD, Jeremy of Arlington VA, and Jason of Pittsburgh, PA; Four grandchildren, Blaise, Cruz, Maeze, and Jordan; his mother LaRelda E. Christian of White Oak, PA, sister Maureen D. Christian of Pittsburgh, PA, Uncle William Christian Jr. of White Oak, PA, and Aunt Patricia Christian of McKeesport, PA, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of our mother, Mary Ethel (Shaw) Stone, 90 years old of McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Mary departed this life on Friday, December 13, at UPMC East with her family at her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, daughter, Rose Lynn Stone, and brother, Henry Harris.
Formerly of Clairton, Pennsylvania, she was born February 19, 1934 in Wadesboro, North Carolina. She was the beloved daughter of the late James Henry (Bully) Harris and the late Adelia Elizabeth Shaw. Mary’s mother passed when she was three years old, she was then raised by her grandparents, the late Diana and Charles Shaw. In September of 1942, her Uncle Junius Davenport sent for her grandmother and her, they arrived in McKeesport, by train, met by a complete stranger who transported them to Clairton where she grew up. She married the late William Delmar (Dale) Stone on May 24, 1952.
Mary was very proud of her Clairton High School diploma. She was a stay at home mother, raising her two children until she became employed as a nutritionist at the former McKeesport Hospital. Mary enjoyed learning and was an avid reader.

Audrey Louise Hamlin, 77, was born on November 23, 1946, the daughter of the late Richard Henry Sr, and the late Dorothy Baker. She was the eldest daughter among a large family of 9 children. She departed this life on November 15, 2024. Audrey grew up in McKeesport, Pennsylvania.
Audrey was a high honor graduate of McKeesport High School in 1964 and married Kenneth Hamlin, whom she’d met at a dance at the Palisades in McKeesport a year prior, later that same year. Their marriage spanned nearly 60 years. They welcomed their first child in 1965. Audrey worked at Fisher Scientific for a few years and was a dedicated homemaker for 27 years. Later, she decided to return to school to pursue nursing. She enrolled at the Community College of Allegheny County and upon graduation began her nursing career at Wightman Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Squirrel Hill. Later she worked at HCR Manor Care in Baldwin until her retirement in 2012. Being a nurse was right in line with Audrey’s selfless, loving, and caring nature. Although she enjoyed being a nurse, nothing gave her more pleasure than being around her family.

Damon M. Myers, 61, of McKeesport, was born December 29, 1962, in McKeesport, PA. He was the beloved son of the late Jameel Muslim known as James Arthur Myers and Vernell West Myers-Stewart.
Damon departed this life surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at VA Pittsburgh Health Care System in Oakland, PA.
Damon was a 1981 graduate of McKeesport High School, shortly after that he enlisted with the United States Air Force. Damon was disciplined when it came to employment. He was employed with the Pittsburgh Convention Center; he had several part-time jobs in addition to operating his own business as a restroom attendant at several establishments in the Pittsburgh area.
Anyone who knew Damon knows his love for family and there was never a dull moment when "Uncle Dae" was around. He also was an avid Steeler Fan.
He was preceded in death by his parent’s father, Jamee Muslim, mother, Vernell West Myers-Stewart, and stepfather, JD Stewart.
Damon is survived by his son, Rashon Gordon; stepmother Khalifah Muslim of Winder, GA, six sisters, Twanda of Austell, GA., April James of McKeesport, PA., Shannon of Conyers, GA., Sabrina (Antwan) of Peru Indiana, Indiah of Auburn, GA., and Aasiya of Lawrenceville, GA., three, brothers, James (Denise) of York, PA., Troy and Derek of Austell, GA., many nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Cecilia Elizabeth Crawford, 79, of Duquesne, was born on March 25, 1945, in Long Branch, New Jersey. She was the beloved daughter of the late Rudolph and Margurite Swain Accoo.
Cecilia peacefully departed this life, surrounded by her loved ones, on October 24, 2024, at AHN Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Crawford, her sister, Joann Accoo, and her grandson, Jamar Bethea.
Cecilia attended Long Branch Senior High School and continued her education in Early Childhood Education, eventually receiving her master's degree from Carlow University. Following her education, she embarked on a career in early childhood education. She was also an office manager for over 30 years.
One of Cecilia's most significant accomplishments was educating her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was a passionate bowler and became a Brunswick national champion. Additionally, she enjoyed challenging puzzles and arts and crafts.
Cecilia was an active member of Payne Chapel A.M.E. Church of Duquesne, PA., under the leadership of Rev. Samuel A. Harris, Jr., Pastor.
Cecilia will be cherished in her memory by her children, six daughters, Renee (Charles) Cochran, Theresa Bethea, Andrea Bethea, Asia Crawford, Jasmine Crawford, and Mary Crawford; two sons, Sean Johnson and Kali (April) Moore; 25 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Rudolph Accoo, along with nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

David LaRoyal Wilson, 91, of McKeesport, was born March 2, 1933, in Fitz Henry, PA. He was the beloved son of the late Floyd and Florence (Miller) Wilson.
David was raised in Fitz Henry, PA, and attended South Huntington High School. After which he served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He then worked at BFGoodrich in McKeesport and Dow Chemical in West Mifflin when he retired. After retirement, he could enjoy his favorite hobbies, Oldies and Doo-op dancing and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and create fond memories with his loving family and friends.
David went home to be with the Lord on October 14, 2024, while he resided at Kane Community Living Center in McKeesport, PA.

Daryl Juno Newby, 71, of Duquesne, was born January 10, 1953, in McKeesport, PA. She was the beloved daughter of the late Rester and Eula Stephens Smith. Daryl was the youngest of seven siblings.
Daryl departed this life on September 15, 2024, at Kane Community Living Center in McKeesport, PA. Her passing was exactly seven years later, the same day as the love of her life. This would be the completion of their beautiful love story.
Daryl attended school at the Duquesne School District where she graduated. She was employed at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in the Dietary Department, and she was a former member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Duquesne, PA. Daryl loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by them all.

Iesha Monique Hamilton, affectionately known as “Esh” of Pittsburgh, PA departed this life on August 29 at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, PA.
She was previously employed by Right at Home as a direct care worker. Iesha attended Gateway High School in Monroeville where she graduated in 2009and then continued on to Bella Capelli Academy in Monroeville, through their Cosmetology Program with an education in Hair, Nails, Skincare and Makeup.
As a youth. she was a member of Zion Baptist Church and the youth choir.
She loved to travel and eat exotic foods; in addition to spending time on the beach, as evident with her travels to Hawaii, Cancun and Cozumel, Mexico, St. Augustine and as a young child, she traveled to Niagara Falls, Canada, New York, Washington DC and Disney World.

Thorvard Reynold Hardimon, 90, of McKeesport, PA departed this life on August 20th, 2024, at home. Thorvard was born April 11, 1934, in Walker County, Texas. He was the beloved son of Joseph Farris and Lula Mae Hardimon.
Thorvard attended Sam Houston High School in Huntsville, Texas where he graduated in 1954. While attending, he played on the football team and helped lead his team to win the state championship.
Shortly after moving to PA, he was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1957, and he was deployed to Germany. During that time, he became ill and was honorably discharged in 1959. When he returned to McKeesport, PA, he married the love of his life, Earlean Bush in 1960. Four children were born from that union, Deborah Celestine, Thorvard Carlos, Cedric Jerome, and Angela Maria.
Deacon Hardimon was a 50+ year member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and was ordained to the Deacon Board in 1974. For 25 years Deacon Hardimon served as the Treasurer of this church and oversaw the financials of this edifice. He retired in 1996 from the Municipal Authority, City of McKeesport, PA, and has enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Jamar Antonio Bethea, 45, of McKeesport, was born March 23, 1979, in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the beloved son of Glenn Griffin and Theresa Bethea. Jamar departed this life peacefully on August 14, 2024, at his residence in McKeesport, PA.
Jamar attended the McKeesport area school district where he graduated. Jamar had a love for culinary arts, and he used his skills to work in various restaurants around the Pittsburgh area. Where he enjoyed learning from each establishment how to cook numerous entrees. His last place of employment was the Golden Coral in Monroeville, PA., where he managed cooking as the Grill Master. He loved to cook for his family and friends. We were blessed to have a personal Chef!
He was also very talented in drawing. He had an artist’s eye for the beauty of what he saw and drew it into a beautiful work of art. Jamar could draw anything!
Jamar was Baptist at an early age at Christ temple where he received Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.

Wayne Louis Battle, 68, of West Mifflin, was born November 9,1955, in McKeesport, PA. He was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Martha Olivia (James) Battle Sr.
Wayne attended and graduated from Duquesne High School in1975. Wayne was the oldest son of Joseph and Martha. Wayne worked for United States Steel Corp Irvin Works Plant for over 9 years and at Bob Evans Inc. as a prep and line cook for 25 years.
Wayne was raised in Duquesne and attended Payne Chapel A.M.E. Church at an early age with his parents and siblings. Despite his size Wayne loved to play and watch all sports and played Football, Baseball and Softball. Wayne loved cars, and his car was always clean. Although Wayne was small in stature his heart and toughness never let his size stop him from anything he wanted to do.
Wayne departed this life on August 7, 2024, at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, father, Joseph A. Battle, Sr., mother, Martha Olivia (James) Battle, brother, Joseph A. Battle, Jr., and brother-in-law, Ronald Wooten.
