(Barnes) Cochran. Wade was a Penn State University graduate, earning his Bachelor of Science in Engineering. He went on to be employed with various engineering companies, including Raytheon, an international aerospace and defense company, where he proudly worked on the Patriot Missile. In his later years, he worked as an electrical engineer with Union Switch & Signal. He was a long-time member of the First Evangelical Free Church of McKeesport. Wade was an avid Penn State Nittany Lions fan and enjoyed watching all Pittsburgh sports teams. His greatest passion was photography, mainly capturing remarkable photos of birds and all aspects of nature’s beauty. Wade is survived by his sister, Janet (Michael) Bush of New Hartford, CT; nieces and nephews, Charlotte (Steven), Richard and Courtney (Matthew); aunts, Arlene (Tom) Barnes of McKeesport, Ann (David) Barnes of Homer, NY, Joan (the late Wayne) Cochran of McKeesport and Doris (the late Robert) Barnes of West Mifflin; many loving cousins and friends. He was also preceded in death by his cherished Bedlington terrier, Lucas. Patrick J. Burns, 65, of White Oak passed away on Thursday November 3, 2016. Born June 15, 1951, he was the son of the late Paul and Joan Burns and the husband of Bonnie (Long) Burns.
He worked for U.S. Steel in Duquesne, then was a welder at ABT, and most recently for the Braddock Hospital in the maintenance department until the day it closed. Patrick was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing on his boat with his family and gardening. He was constantly reading and learning new topics. He loved his dogs and went to flea markets with his sons.  
Along with his wife, Patrick is survived by his children; Marilyn (George) Sanner of Monongahela, Patrick (Ethel) Burns Jr. of White Oak, and Timothy Burns (Jolie Cannata) of North Versailles, 10 grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings, Ray (Sharon) Burns of Elizabeth, Paul (Linda) Burns of North Versailles and Pete Burns of Meadville. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Michael Burns, and son, Thomas E. Burns. Deborah "Debbie" Hose, age 62 of McKeesport, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016 at her home. Born September 4, 1954 in West Mifflin, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy (Sprenger) Smith, and loving wife of Dale Himich. Debbie worked for the McKeesport School District for nearly 20 years as a special education teacher's assistant for 5th and 6th grade. In her free time, she loved to make all types of crafts, and her baking, especially her cookies, will be missed by so many family and friends. She was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, always rooting for the Steelers, Pens and Buccos, and loved her faithful cats, Gizzy and Mookie "Rosie". In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Justin Hose of North Versailles; grandson, Justin; siblings, Patricia (the late Joseph) Miller, Eddie (Linda) Smith, Beverly (Ed) Magiera and Blair (Debbie) Smith; step-son, Shawn Himich (Stacey); brother-in-law, Michael (Carol) Himich; sisters-in-law, Barbara (Thomas) Kostovny and Susan Himich (Thom); and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Margaret "Peg" Ann Weyer

Margaret "Peg" Ann Weyer, age 89 of White Oak, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016 at Kane Regional Center in McKeesport. Born September 20, 1927 in Braddock, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Fleck) Weyer, Sr. Peg was a graduate of McKeesport High School, and later went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Slippery Rock University. Upon her graduation, she began working at the White Oak School and later Francis McClure Intermediate School as a 7th grade science teacher, where she was often referred to as "Sarge". It was there that she started the Drug Awareness Program, having won awards from the Governor of Pennsylvania. She dedicated her spare time as a girl scout leader in White Oak, served as a Sunday school teacher and choir member at Trinity Lutheran Church, and was a long time member of Faith Lutheran Church in her later years. Peg was an avid traveler, visiting many of the western states, and loved to spend time camping and taking in all aspects of the outdoors. Her many dogs were her pride and joy. She is survived by her niece, Debra (Jim) Baird of Kearneysville, WV; nephew, Kevin (Roberta) Weyer of White Oak; great nieces and nephews, Jessica (Erik) Bibb, Joanna Baird, Adam (Theresa) Weyer, and Ashley (Javiera) Alverez; sister-in-law, Helen Weyer of White Oak; cousins, Betty Joan Keenan and Robert Dale Davis; and two great-great nieces and two great-great nephews. Raymond Anthony Manz, age 86 of White Oak, passed away Thursday morning, October 27, 2016. He was born December 11, 1929 in Pittsburgh. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ann (Goertler) Manz; his children, LuAnne (James, Jr.) Danner, Eric Manz, Karen (Kevin) O'Malley and Steven (Joann) Manz; grandchildren, Nicole, Aaron, Joseph, John, Kailee and Owen. He is also survived by his brothers, Charles (Betty) Manz and John (Mary) Manz; and many nieces and nephews. Raymond was a staunch patriot and proud veteran who served the country he loved during the Korean War in the 2nd Division Combat Infantry where he was awarded two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star. He was a strong, kind man in life who loved and was devoted to his family, (and John Wayne). His gentleness, patience, and good humor made him a wonderful role model for his family. He was truly loved by all and will be greatly missed. Born January 21, 1918 in Wishaw, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas S. and Annie (Bell) Cowie, and loving wife of the late Steve A. Laska. Jane was a lifetime member of the Kephart United Methodist Church and loved to spend time with her church family. She worked for the McKeesport Area School District as a cafeteria worker where she was the head baker for over 30 years.

Walter Mandella

Walter J. Mandella "Spike", age 82 of McKeesport, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at his home. Born August 28, 1934 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Walter C. and Regina (Liebold) Mandella, and loving husband of Shirley (Obusek) Mandella for nearly 55 years. Spike worked for US Steel National Works and also worked for Continental Can Company in West Mifflin. He devoted many years as a youth baseball coach in McKeesport, and was active with the American Legion Baseball League and a scout for the Philadelphia Phillies. Spike's greatest joy was his time spent at Glendale Lake near Prince Gallitzin State Park, where he loved to spend time fishing and enjoying the mountains. He cherished his time there so much that he eventually made it his second home from spring through fall. Spike will be remembered for his unique sense of humor, and his one-liners will be missed by many! In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Daniel (Erica) Mandella of White Oak; daughter, Terri (Scott) Pollock of White Oak; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Stephanie Mandella, Emily, Stephen, Matthew, and Sarah Mandella, and Hunter and Samantha Pollock; also many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry (surviving wife, Wendy) Mandella; and brother, Charles Mandella. Terry Anne Reilly, age 62 of McKeesport died on October 19, 2016 at AHN Jefferson Hospital.  Born May 2, 1954 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Kathryne (Tyson) Reilly.  She is survived by her son, Wayne (Angela) Paxon; granddaughter, Mila; sisters, Jan and Toni; brothers, Tommy and Billy, and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her sister Judy.  Terry worked for a laundry service in Homestead and later in the food service department at Penn State Greater Allegheny, or as she still said “Penn State McKeesport”.  She loved to watch the Pirates, play bingo and make crafts for family and friends around the Holidays.  Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, October 23, 2016  from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 24, 2016  at 10 a.m.  Fr. George "Jake" Jacob

George R. Jacob "Jake" "Babe", age 76 of Irwin, passed away on Wednesday, October  12, 2016 at the William Penn Care Center in Jeannette. Born August 7, 1940 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late George and Julia (Lovas) Jacob, and loving husband of Joyce (Byerly ) Jacob. Jake honorably served our country in the US Navy. Following his military service, he went on to work for US Steel Irvin Works in Dravosburg. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, and he always looked forward to his camping trips to the Moraine Camplands to spend time with his family and camp buddies. He was an avid fisherman, having traveled to the Great Lakes and Canada in search of his "biggest catch". Jake's dream of owning a motorcycle became a reality a few years ago when he became a proud owner of his Harley Davidson. He enjoyed all Pittsburgh Sports, and was also a Penn State fan. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Randall (Linda) Jacob of North Huntingdon, Diana (Mark) Long of Penn Twp., and Lori (Donny) Elias of Jeannette; grandchildren, Heather Elias, Chelsea Long, Rebecca Long, Michael Elias, Alina Jacob, and Carlin Jacob; sister, Dolores (William) Halas of North Huntingdon; and one great-grandson on the way. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Varga. Ruth T. Andrews of White Oak, four months shy of her 100th birthday, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at The Willows of Presbyterian SeniorCare. Born February 8, 1917 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Thomas) Tonks, and loving wife of the late Frank Andrews. Ruth was a former member of the Ballantyne United Methodist Church as well as the Wesley United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and serving as the church librarian. She most recently attended Sampson's Mills Church, serving as one of their Deacons, and dedicated her free time volunteering for the various church functions. She also enjoyed her time spent as a Brownie Leader and Girl Scout Leader, and was a member of the McKeesport Music Club, along with being a charter member and past president of the White Oak Women's Club. In her earlier years, she worked in Washington DC in a Naval research lab during WWII and later went on to dedicate her time as an administrative assistant for Goodwill. She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Gregory) McCullough of Monroeville; grandchildren, Jenni (Mike) Repcik and Erin (Steve) Shakoske; great-grandchildren, Lily, Cash, Emery “Emey” and Monroe “Roe”; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, George Tonks and sister, Jennett Johnson. Audra A. Dudek, 48, of McKeesport, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 6, 2016 after a long struggle with cancer. Born September 5, 1968 in Hermine, she was the daughter of Steven and Hennrietta (Sames) Solomon and loving wife of Daniel Dudek. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour in North Huntingdon, where she was a council member. She proudly earned her Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration and was the manager of Adult Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Audra loved her job and will be remembered for all the lives that she touched. She had a group of friends that enjoyed scrapbooking and traveling to events where they shared many memories. Along with her husband and parents, she is survived by her sons, Daniel Dudek Jr., and Noah James Dudek of McKeesport; brothers, Ernest (Linda) Solomon of Manor, PA, William (Kathy) Solomon of Rillton, PA, and Steven (Gail) Solomon of Las Vegas, NV; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harry and Adelle Sames; and paternal grandparents, Ernest and Miriam Solomon. Teresa (Theresa) Julia Dudek, of Elizabeth Twp., formerly of McKeesport, died Sunday, September 25, 2016 at home.  Born June 6, 1922 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Kazimierz and Mary Anna (Matykiewicz) Kustra and wife of the late Raymond Dudek.  She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, formerly St. Mary Czestochowa, where she was a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and Ladies Guild and also the Rosary Society.  She is survived by her daughter, Elaine C. Dudek, with whom she resided; daughter-in-law, Patricia Gail Beeles Dudek, of Lawrenceville, GA, formerly of Canonsburg; granddaughter, Gretchen Elene (Shane) Elzer Olds, of Lawrenceville, GA; great-grandsons, Joshua Lee and Nathan Edward Olds; sisters, Nancy (Joseph) Colella, formerly of West Mifflin, Annette (Robert) Knoll, of White Oak, and Rita Mae Visco, of Pittsburgh.  She was preceded in death by her son, Edward R. Dudek and brother, Alexander T. (Melvine) Kustra; sisters, Marie M. Kustra and Helen A. Nancy Ann (Symington) Spate, age 85 of White Oak, formerly of McKeesport passed away on September 22, 2016 at The Grove at Irwin.  Born September 20, 1931 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late James R. and Selma (Weber) Symington, and the loving wife of the late DeWayne B. Spate for 65 years.  Nancy worked at Reliance Steel with her mother, where she learned accounting and bookkeeping.  Later, she went on to work for National City, where she would retire from after 25 years.  She was a lifelong member of the Hope U.M.C. and church choir, the Tabitha Circle, and the McKeesport Historical Society.

Laura J. James, age 93 of McKeesport, passed away on September 17, 2016 at Riverside Care Center. Born June 22, 1923 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Casper and Sophie (Osolinski) Rybka and wife of the late Arthur D. James. Laura worked for J & L Steel during WWII. She also worked for The Tasty Donut Bakery in Christy Park. Laura was a member of Corpus Christi Parish. She treasured all aspects of nature and enjoyed relaxing visits to Conneaut Lake. Laura loved taking walks, keeping up on current events, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also a Steeler fan who enjoyed a slice of pizza and her occasional beer. She was an avid Bingo player and was a member of the Friendship Club in McKeesport. She is survived by her daughter, Donna (the late William) Isbir, of White Oak; grandson, Bill (Janna) Isbir, of Pittsburgh; sisters, Annette Zyma, of North Versailles and Dolores (John) Marcinko, of Fullerton, CA; brother, Ronald “Rip” (Cheryl) Rybka, of Port Vue; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucille Castor, Helen Gall, Virginia Macey, Bertha Natale, and Cecelia Sally Rybka.
