Betty Jean “B J” Budday, 89, of Jefferson Hills, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019 at AHN Jefferson Hospital.  She was born November 11, 1929, in McKeesport, to the late William and Opal McClelland Wilson.  Betty was the loving wife of the late Edgar W. Budday Sr. for 70 years.  She is survived by sons, Edgar W. Budday Jr. of Jefferson Hills, Joseph J. Budday of Jefferson Hills, James (Anna) Reid Budday of Wilson, SC; grandchildren, James W. and Michael R. Budday.  Along with her parents and spouse, Betty was preceded in death by siblings, Dolores Smith-Barber and William E. Wilson.  She was a graduate of McKeesport High School, attended Community College where she received a nursing degree, was a member of Pine Run UMC in Clairton where she taught Sunday School Class, enjoyed bowling, golfing, and was a Holy Matron in the Order of The Eastern Star.  Arrangements have been entrusted to S. M. Linda Jean Kovatch Petruzzi, 68, of West Mifflin, passed away at Southwestern Health Care Center, in West Mifflin, on Tuesday, February 5, 2019.  She was born October 25, 1950, in Swissvale, to the late Joseph and Ethel Boder Kovatch.  Linda is survived by daughter, Lori A. Petruzzi of West Mifflin, former spouse, John Petruzzi of West Mifflin, and grand-dog, Iggy.  She was a graduate of West Mifflin South High School,  formerly employed as an aircraft dispatcher at Corporate Air in West Mifflin, enjoyed cooking, watching the Food Network, and bowling.  Visitation will take place Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 11 am – 1 pm at S. M. Lawrence “Bub” William Trimnal, 90, of Clairton, formerly of Winter Haven, FL, passed away at home, surrounded by his adoring family, on Friday, January 18, 2019.  He was born January 6, 1929 in McKeesport to the late Irby and Janet Wilds Trimnal.  Bub is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Shirley A. Bobbs Trimnal; sons, Lawrence Trimnal of Clairton, William Trimnal of Clairton, Erick (Sandy) Trimnal of Finleyville, Keith (Cindy) Trimnal of Clairton; daughter, Valerie (August) Smarra of Jefferson Hills; brother, Odis (Dodi) Trimnal of Dravosburg; daughter-in-law, Linda Trimnal of Rock Hill, SC; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  Along with his parents, Bub was preceded in death by son, Barry Trimnal; siblings, Charles Trimnal, Wayne Trimnal, and Doris Stock.  He was a proud veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean Conflict, before retiring, Bub was an iron worker and was a member of Local #3 Iron Worker’s Union.  He was a member of VFW Post 803 in Clairton, enjoyed golf, and loved spending time with his family.  Aside from his love and pride for his family and his country, Bub fulfilled a promise he made to himself when, at age 57, he received his GED.  Arrangements have been entrusted to S. Jesse Donald LaFollette, 83, of Clairton, formerly of Elizabeth, Glassport and Show Low, AZ, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Baldwin Health Center.  He was born May 25, 1935, in Brownsville to the late William Henry Harrison LaFollette and Minnie Marie Smith LaFollette.  Jesse is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Barbara Ann Tognarini LaFollette; sons, Chris LaFollette of West Elizabeth, Glenn (Pammela) LaFollette of Springfield, MO, Don (Kim) LaFollette of Elizabeth; daughters, Barbara “Babs” (Don) Cade of Washington, D.C., Sheryl (Joe) Ingram of Port Vue, Angela LaFollette of Richeyville, PA, Teressa LaFollette of Whitaker, Rene (Rodney) Wallace of Verona;  brothers, William LaFollette and Ronald (Peggy) LaFollette both of Cleveland, Earl (Linda) LaFollette of Fort Meyers, FL; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  Along with his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by siblings, Francis, Carl, Ida, and Gladys.  He was an associate of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in West Mifflin, owned LaFollette Heating and AC, was retired from US Steel National Tube Works in McKeesport, was a sports enthusiast with baseball being his favorite.  Visitation will take place from 2 - 4 pm on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at E. Bernadette “Bernie” Anne Coneway, 65, of Clairton, passed away at AHN Jefferson Hospital on Thursday, January 10, 2019.  She was born in McKeesport April 15, 1953 to the late Joseph and Martha Laver Stercula.  Bernie was the spouse of the late Dale Coneway.  She is survived by children, Raymond Zwibel of Allentown, Nicole Stercula of Clairton, son, Christopher Coneway of Clairton; grandchildren, Marcus, Alexis, Carmella, Delrice, Marrisa, Elijah; great-grandchildren, Bella, Treyvon, Aleenah; siblings, Joseph (Darla) Stercula of McKeesport, Theresa Minda of Elizabeth, and Mary Marasco of Clairton. Barbara Lee “Barbie” Havanets Burch, 75, of Port Vue, passed away at UPMC McKeesport Sunday, January 6, 2019.  She was born November 30, 1943 to the late Joseph and Veronica Havanets.  Barbie is survived by daughters, Rebecca Burch of Smithton, Beth (William) Atkins of Port Vue; grandchildren, Brooklynn and Billy Atkins.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Bertelman and former husband, Robert “Bird Dog” Burch.  Barbie lived her entire life in the Mon Valley area, loved hummingbirds, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Arrangements have been entrusted to E. Emil Cominotti, 94, of Dravosburg, passed away at home, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, December 8, 2018.  He was born December 31, 1923, in Willock, PA, to the late Primo and Sylvia Natek Cominotti.  Emil was a loving husband, for 59 years, to the late Loretta “Gerry” Geraldine McCallister Cominotti.  Emil is survived by son, Mark Cominotti of Dravosburg; daughter, Christine (Mike) Gobbie of Glassport; grandchildren, Stephanie, Bob, Emily, Nicki, Erin, Anthony, Wesley, Michael, Mark, and Carly; great-grandchildren, Luke and Morgan who he loved dearly; sister, Jane Muller of OH; nieces and nephews.  Along with his parents and spouse, Emil was preceded in death by sons, James and Dale Cominotti.  He was a Staff Sergeant in the US Army during WWII, a member of St. Marks Roman Catholic Church,  a lifetime member of  Dravosburg American Legion Post 380, and Dravosburg Volunteer Fire Company #1.  Emil retired from US Steel Edgar Thomson works after 44 years of employment, he was known to his co-workers in the Bop Shop as “Ponzi”. In the 60’s and 70’s, he was proud to be a baseball coach and vice president of  the Dravosburg Boys’ Club.  He was an avid hunter/fisherman and Pittsburgh Sports aficionado. Visitation will take place Friday, December 14, 2018 from 2 – 4 and 6 - 8 at I. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 203 4TH Street, Dravosburg,  PA   15034.  A mass will take place on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 9:30 am at St. Marks Catholic Church in Liberty Boro, followed by interment at Jefferson Memorial Park in Pleasant Hills. Genevieve “Ginny” Margaret Gusky Mihalov, 93, of Clairton, passed away peacefully, in her sleep, Saturday, December 1, 2018.  She was born September 30, 1925 in Shadyside, OH to the late Stanley and Josephine Mackwiecz Gusky.  Ginny was the loving wife of the late Laurence “Larry” J. Mihalov who passed away in 2012.  She is survived by daughters, Linda (John) Donnelly of Clairton, Kristine (Sven) Nelson of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Kristy-Lynne, Sven Jr., Holly, Patrick, Bridget, Alex; 7 great-grandchildren; brother John (Wanita) Gusky; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Michaels; nieces and nephews.  Along with her parents and husband, Ginny was preceded in death by sisters, Lois Kanda, Pearl Martin; brothers, Charles Gusky and Stanley Gusky.  She was a member of Ascension of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church in Clairton, AARP Clairton Chapter # 1612. Ginny loved playing games with her grandchildren, was an excellent seamstress who enjoyed sewing for herself and her family, made the very best apple pie, was an avid reader as well as an enthusiastic traveler, visiting Europe, Asia, the Holy Land,  North and Central America.  Visitation will take place Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm at S. M. Michael “Mikey” Anthony Assenti, 67, of Clairton, passed away at home on Friday, November 23, 2018.  He was born September 23, 1951 in McKeesport to the late Tullio and Ann Marie Thornton Assenti.  Michael is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Catherine Latorre Assenti; son, Michael A. (Alexis) Assenti of West Newton; daughter, Cara (Daniel) Connor of Suttersville; step-children, Marcie Morgan of Clairton, Christopher (Jenine) Morgan of Franklin,  PA, Howard “Smiley” (Shannon) Morgan Jr of Clairton; grandchildren, Dwight, Anthony, Alissa, Howard, Christopher, Joshua, Alyssa, Bryce, Lukas, Haley, Dylan, Aidan;   great-grandchildren, Learra, Claira; brothers, Paul (Colleen) Assenti of Elizabeth Township, Kevin Assenti of Clairton, David Assenti of Buena vista, Joseph Assenti of Greenock; and mother-in-law, Lydia Latorre. Along with his parents, Michael was preceded in death by brother, Julius Assenti, grandson, Matthew Morgan, and father-in-law, Carmen Latorre.  He was a lifelong resident of Clairton, a retired motor inspector for US Steel Clairton Works, enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and was an avid Steeler fan.  Michael was a member of the Sons of Columbus, Wilson American Citizens Club and the Breakfast Club at The Village Inn.   Visitation will take place Monday November 26, 2018 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm at S. Catherine “Rose” Roseann Zofchak, 86, and her daughter Catherine “Cathy” R. Zofchak, 66, both of Clairton, passed away at home on Friday, November 9, 2018.  Rose was born in Colver, PA May 9, 1932 to the late Jess Wainwright and Evelyn C. Williams Beckner.  Rose was a loving wife, for 41 years, to the late George Zofchak II who passed away in 1991. 

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, George Zofchak III; brother, Henry Beckner; sisters, Edna Yando, Dorothy Crookham, Louise Richardson, Christine Lewis, Irene Simpson, and Shirley Stegman.  Rose resided in Clairton her whole life, was a member of Pine Run United Methodist Church, enjoyed reading, church, collecting novelties, her children and was very patriotic. 

Cathy was born in McKeesport May 30, 1952. She was also a lifelong resident of Clairton and a member of Pine Run Church.  She enjoyed shopping, bus trips to Walmart, jewelry and collecting animal novelties.  Arrangements have been entrusted to S. Sidney “Dusty” Thomas Cyphert III, 66, of Elizabeth, formerly of Brookville, PA, passed away at home on Sunday, October 28, 2018.  He was born May 24, 1952 in Pittsburgh to the late Sidney T. and Delores Hutchins Cyphert II.  Dusty is survived by his wife of 35 years, Patricia J. Gumpher Kristofik; sons, Sidney T. (Melissa) Longo of St. Petersburg, FL, Ryan Thomas Cyphert of Elizabeth; daughter, Melissa Cyphert of Versailles Boro; brothers, Donald (Diane) Cyphert of Jacksonville, FL, Allen Dale Cyphert of Michigan; sisters, Sharon (Thomas) Fye of Strattanville, PA, Sandra Patterson of McKeesport, Linda Walker of Jacksonville, FL, Dana (Jim) Clark of Orange Park, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.  Along with his parents, Dusty was preceded in death by brothers, Richard Cyphert, Robert (Sharon) Cyphert and sister, Carol Gumpher. He was a graduate of Clarion Limestone High School, served in the US Coast Guard, was a cook at various restaurants (mostly in FL), was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church, enjoyed building model cars, and was an auto mechanic.  Visitation will take place from 5 – 8 pm on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at E. Irene “Rene” Ruth Harmon Stokes, 94, of Clairton, formerly of Elrama, passed away at Lawson’s Nursing Home Friday, October 19, 2018 to be received into the everlasting arms of our Savior.  She was born October 3, 1924, in Finleyville, to the late Kinzy F. and Annie Mae Tulloh Harmon.  Irene was a loving wife, of 70 years, to the late Robert I. Stokes.  She is survived by daughters, Deborah S. (William) Straub of Daniels, WV, Gayle S. Colonna of Clairton; son, Gary R. (Cheryl) Stokes of McKeesport; grandchildren, Rebekah Straub of Lexington, KY, Abbey Miller of Trafford, Jennifer  Colonna of Portland, OR, Meghan (Frank) Walker of New Albany, OH, Leland Colonna of Clairton; great-grandchildren, Baylee, Finlee, Rylee, Bentlee; loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.  Along with her parents and spouse, Irene was preceded in death by siblings; Phoebe O’Dell, Edith Bardyn, Marge Jenkins, William Harmon, Merle Stout, Albert Harmon, Kathleen Parish, Leonard Harmon, Eloise Brallier, and Lena Mae Cowden.  She was a graduate of Clairton High School and attended Duff’s School of Business. Virginia Fay Peters

Virginia Fay Peters, 90, of Dravosburg, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Southwestern Nursing Home in West Mifflin.  She was born October 3, 1927 in McKeesport to the late William B. and Ethel Hopkins Butler.  Fay was the loving wife of the late William J. Peters.  She is survived by daughter, Carol S. (Gerald) McGrew Sr.; grandchildren, Dawn (Dan) Como of Jefferson Hills, Gerald (Lynn) McGrew Jr. of Dravosburg; great-grandchildren, Mia, Cassidy, Doc, Evan and Connor.  Along with her parents and spouse, Fay was preceded in death by her brother and sister in law, William and Audrey Butler.  Before retiring, she was employed by Sears Roebuck Company and Penn Taft Pharmacy. She was known to everybody as “Grandma Fay”. Fay was a lifelong member and Elder at Amity Presbyterian Church in Dravosburg, a former Auditor for the Boro of Dravosburg, served on Boro Council, and was a Republican Chair Woman.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, duck pin bowling, not only did she enjoy horse & dog racing, she was a member of U.S. Trotting Association and was a Standard Bred horse owner at the Meadows Race Track.  Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 4 – 8 at I. M. Larue “Mickey” Mae Eichler, 86, of Clairton, passed away at home on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.  She was born July 13, 1932 in Clairton to the late Arnold and Marie Tullius LaBudda.  Larue was a loving wife for 50 years to the late Bill Eichler.  She is survived by her loving children, Marie Sopko of Clairton, Billy (Lynn) Eichler of West Mifflin, James “Peach” (Sue Arnold) Eichler of Clairton, Rebecca (Joe) Shoemaker of Clairton, Amy (James) Garbart of Clairton; grandchildren, Nicole (Jeremy) Baker, James “JJ” Lostetter, Heather (Kris Lute) Sopko, Billy Sopko, Sarah Eichler, Eliza Sopko; great-grandchildren, Katrina, Jeremiah and Alaina Baker; nieces, nephews and furry friend, Bubbles.  Along with her parents and husband, Larue was preceded in death by sisters, Joanne Shaner and Anne Stein. She graduated in 1950 from Clairton High School and continued her education by graduating from St. John’s School of Nursing. During her years of nursing, Larue worked for Clairton School District, New Eagle Hospital, Lawson’s Nursing Home, and was “the nurse” of Jefferson Drive.  She was a Girl Scout leader, Boy Scout leader, Clairton Band Booster President, Eucharistic Minister & lecture, enjoyed karaoke, boating and spending time with her grandchildren.  Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 9 pm at S.
