Michael D. Adams, age 85, of Lincoln Borough, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Peters Township Post Acute. He retired as a structural painter for Union Local 530 in Pittsburgh. He enjoyed caring for his cats, NASCAR and sitting on his deck enjoying a cigar. Born September 16, 1940 in Wadesboro, NC, he was a son of the late Ernest Adams Sr. and the late Louise (Crepps) Adams, and husband of the late Lydia N. (Hrynyk) Adams. He is survived by his son, Michael D. (Laura) Adams Jr. of Glassport; daughter, Alisha (Todd) Martin of Elizabeth Twp.; grandchildren, Lacey Martin and Nicole and Mike Zepp; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by siblings, Carole Britton, Ernest Adams Jr., Gary and James Adams. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Helen Elizabeth Allen, 104, of Redstone Highlands of Greensburg, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026. Born in Versailles Township on February 9, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Bayne Allen and Emma C. Wunderly Allen, sister of the late Walter M. Allen, Chester T. Allen, Louise M. Allen, and Emily C. Saunders. She is survived by two nieces Rebecca Johnson (Eddie) and Pamela Saunders; great nephew Matthew Johnson (Laura); great niece Amy Wood (John) and great-great nieces Alex Johnson, Bri Johnson, and Rachel Elizabeth Wood. Also, Helen was loved and will be missed by the Nevin and Johnston Families. Helen graduated from McKeesport High School in 1938. After working at Union National Bank in McKeesport for four years, Helen was employed by, and retired from, the former Gulf Oil Corporation of Pittsburgh after 35 years of service. She was a member of Round Hill Presbyterian Church and the Morning Circle. A committal service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Park in the Office Chapel on Thursday, January 15 at 11 AM. Chris “Red” Evanov, 58, of Greenock, passed away Monday, January 12, 2026. He was born June 29, 1967 in Homestead to the late Albert A. and Violet Mae (Kubancsek) Evanov. Red devoted 35 years of his life to VISTA Metals, where he worked as a skilled machinist known for his strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, his true passion was the open road. Alongside his kids when they were growing up, Chris spent countless weekends creating memories and chasing adventures that never stopped. Later in life, he got a Harley - and now, with his wife Amy, the weekend trips to Rocky Gap became a special spot. One trip planned for an anniversary, the next, just because - one after another, year-round. That place brought happiness to the both of them.

She loved her family fiercely. She loved Jesus reverently. She enjoyed a love/hate relationship with all Pittsburgh sports teams, but especially her Pittsburgh Pirates. Larry Micheal Stefan, of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 10, 2026. Born in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, Larry lived a life defined by devotion to family, service to his country, and a generous, joyful spirit.

Larry was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose love for his family was unwavering. He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Cheryl (Sloss) Stefan; his son, Clinton Stefan; and Angela (Monpere) Schnabel, whom he loved as his own daughter. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Jocelyn, Ryan, Jacob, Isebella, and Dean Stefan. Larry was also deeply cherished by his large extended family, all of whom will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Mary Stefan of Duquesne, and his son, Brandon Stefan of West Mifflin, whom he held forever in his heart.

A proud Vietnam veteran, Larry served honorably with the 101st Airborne Division, the Screaming Eagles, a chapter of his life that reflected his courage, strength, and dedication to others.

Larry had a love of travel and cherished the time spent exploring new places with his wife, Cheryl. Some of his happiest moments were shared side by side with her, creating memories along the way. He especially loved the beach, and always had a pocket full of unique seashells to bring home.

Larry was an avid dog lover who delighted in spoiling his dogs, treating them as cherished members of the family. Known for his wonderful sense of humor, Larry brought laughter and warmth wherever he went. His quick wit, whimsical nature and kind heart made him a joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Larry Micheal Stefan will be remembered for his love, laughter, service, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear. His legacy lives on through his family and the countless lives he touched. He was a membr of Triumph of Holy Cross Parish, Jefferson Hills. Larry retired from Bombardier Transportation Holdings USA Inc.., West Mifflin, where he was employed as an Electro Mechanical Assembler.

Friends and family will be received in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home Inc., 828 Richford Street, Duquesne on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. A Blessing service on Wednesday January 14, 2026, at 9:30 A.M. in the Memorial Home will be followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Holy Trinity Church, 529 Grant Ave. Extension, West Mifflin with Rev. Kayla Emily Castro, age 34, was taken far too soon in a tragic accident on January 10, 2026, leaving behind a love that time can never erase. She was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, on May 10, 1991, the beloved daughter of Raymond and Laurel Castro. A devoted mother, sister, granddaughter, cousin, aunt, niece, and godmother to her nephew Vinny, Kayla's life was rooted in love, family, and deep connection. Kayla was a devoted mother to her two beautiful children, Mila Rae and Brantley Vito, whom she shared with their father, Jake Lawson. They were the center of her world and the greatest expression of her love. Everything she did was for them. She was hardworking, kind, and endlessly loving. Deeply artistic, Kayla saw beauty in the world and expressed it through her creativity, carrying herself with a gentle and thoughtful spirit. She was also an amazing cook who loved sharing her creations with family and friends. Kayla shared an unbreakable bond with her sister, Kristen Wojdyla, who was also her best friend. Their relationship was filled with love, laughter, and a closeness that words cannot fully describe. She was also close to her grandmother Mabel Riley and brother-in-law, Drew Wojdyla. Family meant everything to Kayla. She was proud of her new job and the progress she made over the past year, moving forward with quiet confidence and hope for the future she was building. Kayla adored her nieces and nephews and held a special place in her heart for her newly born nephew, Vinny, whom she loved dearly. Gentle, beautiful, and compassionate, Kayla had a way of making others feel cared for simply by being herself. Though her life was far too brief, the love she gave was immeasurable. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Riley, and her uncle, Harvey Wainer. Forever missed. Forever loved. Forever remembered.

Vincent J. "Vince" D'Appollonio, 68, of Glassport passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born in Lenola, Italy to the late Biagio and Rosa (Colontone) D'Appollonio. Vince carried his Italian heritage with pride throughout his life. As a devoted partner, father, and grandfather - his strength, resilience, and quiet humor defined him. He faced a long and courageous battle with illness, yet his dignity, grace, and unwavering love for his family remained true. He was a beloved fiancee to Diane Menzies of Glassport; a proud and loving father to Gina (Robert Kramer) D'Appollonio of Pittsburgh, and Vinny D'Appollonio of Glassport; as well as a wonderful grandfather to Demia, who brought him immense joy from the moment he found out about her. He is also survived by his step-children, and extended family. Family meant everything to him, and his love is a legacy that will continue to live on through them. He will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and steady presence, as well as the deep care he showed for those closest to him. Helen M. Weiskircher, 92, of North Huntingdon, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 8, 2026. Born on January 27,1933 in Clairton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Edith (Lotz) White. Helen graduated from McKeesport High School and had a long career working for Equibank in their Elizabeth office. A lifelong Pittsburgh sports fan, Helen enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and was also a season ticket holder for both the Steelers and Pirates. For many years, Helen and her special friend, Rich Steiger, traveled to Treasure Island, Fl during the winter months where they attended many Pirate spring training games in Bradenton. Helen was deeply spiritual and a lifelong and proud member of the Boston United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and served for a period as financial secretary. In her later years, Helen and many of her life-long friends began the tradition of hosting quarterly spaghetti dinners open to the public in order to raise operating funds for the church. Besides being active in church, she was also a member of the Elizabeth Township Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents and in-laws, Russell and Gladys Weiskircher, she was proceeded in death by her loving husband, Albert (Abbie); beloved daughter, Debra Mae Costello; sisters Dorothy (Gerald) Reese and Jane (George) Stevanus; sister in-laws Lila (George) Hackett and Elenora (Jean Vernon, J.V.) Stone; niece Sharma Stone; and, nephew Roy Stevanus. Helen loved her grandchildren dearly and was proud of their life accomplishments. She will be sorely missed by Dr. Jaclyn M. Wood, Andrew Costello, Patrick Costello, Kristin Rohlfs and Katie Crank. Further fulling her life were her great grandchildren Maren Wood, Catherine Wood, Evelyn Wood, Grant Costello, Callan Costello, Rylie Rohlfs, Reagan Rohlfs and Clayton Crank.

His passion was fishing and he also enjoyed hunting and collecting sports cards. Born March 28, 1952 in Clairton, he was a son of the late Murald and Doris (Jones) Wilcher. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Donna (Staffen) Wilcher; children, Keith Wilcher Tarah Wilcher and Bryan Wilcher, all of Elizabeth Twp.; grandchildren, Sam, Codie, Stephen, Alayna, Bayden, Carlee, Aylee and Aubrie; sister, Beverly (Harold) Gouker of Forward Twp.; brother-in-law, Richard (Stacie) Staffen of Monongahela; sisters-in-law, Marlene Wilcher of Clairton, Aljean Wilcher of Port Vue and Debra Staffen of Monongahela; also, nieces and nephews. Born April 2, 1919 in West Newton, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Sara (Pauchak) Powelczak and wife of the late Michael T. Churilla. She is survived by nieces, Sheila Grimm of Ligonier, Kathy Huber of West Newton, June Morris of Severn, MD and Rose Helen Forbes of Plymouth, MA. Alice M. Hurd, age 82, of McKeesport, passed away on January 10, 2026, at Rose Meadows Health and Rehab. Born May 13, 1943, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen (Tomko) Gulyban.

Alice worked as a florist at Shackelford's and Maxwell's in Monroeville and Giant Eagle Supermarket before her retirement. She also enjoyed crafts, painting, gardening, arranging flowers, spending time with her kitty Zora, and talking with her friends and relatives.

She is survived by sons, Jeff (Jenny) Hurd, of Sartell, MN, Mark (Kelly) Hurd, of Litchfield, MN, and Erik (Tara) Hurd, of Elizabeth, PA; brother, William (Marilyn) Gulyban; grandchildren, Nickolas, Kevin, Miranda, Laura (Aaron), Ryan, Jessica (Greg), Thomas, Darin (Cierra), and Desirae; seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Hurd, and a sister, Mary Ann Madar.

Frederick E. Moore, Jr., age 74 of McKeesport, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026 in Jefferson Hospital.  Born November 2, 1951 in Millville, NJ, he was a son of the late Frederick E. Moore, Sr. and Dorothy (White) Moore.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, two sisters-in-law, a niece, and his father-and-mother-in-law Ronald and Wilma Cessna.  Fred was employed as the head transmission rebuilder of all makes and models at several local shops.  He was an avid race car fan who built and drove his own small-block hot rod.  Fred also served in the US Marine Corps.  Survivors include his beloved wife  Donna "Baby" (Cessna) Moore; his two daughters chosen by his heart, Vanessa "Baby Girl" Connors and Derronda "D.D." Spencer; his two biological daughters; his three biological grand-daughters; his three siblings Frances Patterson, Michael (Kathy) Moore, and Barbara (Ray) Hober; his brothers-and-sisters-in-law: Karen (Jerry) Pritt, Dennis (Brenda) Cessna, Ron (Karen) Cessna, Allen Cessna, Jim (Patti Kidd) Cessna; thirty-two nieces and nephews; thirty-seven great-nieces-and-nephews; five great-great-nieces-and-nephews; and his best friend Frank Varlotta.  Fred was an anchor of strength to those he loved.
