Randy W. Klimek, Sr., age 70 of N. Versailles died Monday, October 3, 2016. He was born in McKeesport on November 9, 1945, the son of the late William and Irene Gazdag Klimek and husband of the late Patricia (Patrick) Klimek. Randy was a member of the former Street Life Car Club. He loved tinkering with old cars and boats and spending time at Deep Creek Lake. He is survived by his sons William (Laura) Klimek of Elizabeth and Randy (Shannon) Klimek of Clairton,  grandson Daniel; brothers William T. (Linda) Klimek of Harrison City and Gary A. Helen Gergas Yanez

Helen Gergas Yanez died on Friday, September 23, 2016. She was born on October 18, 1924 in Peterson Plan, PA, which was part of Eden Park Boro. Many of the Lodge 146 pioneer families settled there and many still remain. It is now part of McKeesport, PA. 
Helen’s parents were the late Julia Babinec and John Gergas. Helen was married to John G. Yanez and they were the proud parents of six children, namely: Frank (Connie) Yanez, Rosemarie (Fred) Donahoe, Mary (Dave) Amaditz, Christine (Dave) Lieberum, David (Kim) Yanez, Elena Yanez; 21 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Helen was educated at Duff’s Business College and McKeesport High School. She worked for the Hunter-Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Home for six months, at Bell Telephone Company for ten years, five as a supervisor, for 14 years as a tax advisor for USS Steel Local 1408, for 17 years as an income tax preparer and for 19 years on her local election board in McKeesport, PA. 
In Lodge 146 Helen was a member for 65 years and has been the financial secretary for 19 years. She served on the Lodge Executive Board, the Historical and Cultural Committees, the Wage and Policy Committee and the Humanitarian Fund in all respects, collecting food and clothing and the DORA Fund.
She was a delegate to four national conventions, serving on various committees. She was the President and Vice President of the Croatian Women’s Club of Versailles and former officer in the Croatian Pensioneer’s Club of Lodge 146. 
A delegate from Lodge 146 to the Four Countries Conferences, she served on the Four Countries Board of Trustees and was their 1996 “Woman of the Year”. 
Other affiliations are as follows: she was a current member of St. Angela Merici Church, she was a member of St. Martin de Porres R.C. Church, its Christian Mothers and Altar Society, and the Young Ladies Sodality. She was a life member of Amvets Post 8, McKeesport, PA, and was president of their auxiliary for two years, a member of White Oak American Legion Post 701, was convention chairman for the Amvets at their convention in Monroeville, PA, an Amvets representative for visitations to Veteran’s Hospitals for the past 14 years.
Helen was a member of the Board of Directors of the Parkview Community Federal Credit Union. She was also an active member of Versailles AARP Chapter 2911. She served on the Community Affairs Committee and participated in their visits to veteran’s homes and to personal care and nursing homes in the Mon-Yough area.
She was active in the local democratic party and found time to aid any lodge member or friend in any way she could, such as taking them to church or shopping, helping with letter writing or visiting and comforting them. She was always there for everyone and anyone. 
The officers and members of “Sveto Trojstvo” CFU Lodge 146 thank the United Croatian Fraternal Union Lodges of Fayette, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland Counties for honoring sis Helen Gergas Yanez, a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, sister, neighbor and friend as the 1996 “Woman of the Year”.
Thank you Jesus for sharing her with us for almost 92 years. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Joy Clemont Johnson, 88, of Dravosburg, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016. She was born Nov. 29, 1927, in McKeesport, the daughter of the late Harry and Etta Hoagland Johnson. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in McKeesport, and she retired as the executive director of the former YWCA on Ninth Street in McKeesport for many, many years where she and her mother founded the YWCA Garden Club which is now known as the Joyful Bloomers. She was also a member of the McKeesport Kiwanis Club where she was the very first woman inducted and then was elected the first woman president, a member of the Confederation of McKeesport Women’s Club, the Home Gardeners Guild, a member of Elizabeth Chapter No. 418 of the Eastern Star and was a volunteer for the McKeesport Regional History and Heritage Center. She is survived by her caregiver, Margaret Ann Cant, of Versailles Borough, cousins, and many, many dear friends. Friends will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at STRIFFLERS OF WHITE OAK CREMATION AND MORTUARY SERVICES, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Elizabeth M. Bishover, age 90 of McKeesport, died Thursday, September 8, 2016.  She was born in Morgantown, W.Virginia on May 19, 1926, the daughter of the late Doy and Versie (Saffle) Herron and wife of the late John Bishover.  Elizabeth retired from Kane Regional Center, McKeesport where she worked as a nurse’s aide. She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church in McKeesport.  She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Robert Doria) Dettore of Smock, PA; grandson, R. Scott (Beverly) Dettore of Belle Vernon; great grandchildren, Kayla, Brooke and Zach. She was predeceased by her siblings Ray Herron, Hazel Messenger and Gene Rose.

William T. Pomaibo, age 89, of West Mifflin died September 5, 2016. He was born in Port Vue on March 15, 1927 and is the son of the late Michael and Mary Kyne Pomaibo and husband of the late Margaret (Miskanic) Pomaibo. William retired from Westinghouse Electric where he worked as a layout man. He served in the Army during WWII and was a guard at the Nuremberg trials. He was also a member of the West Mifflin Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by daughter, Cheri (Rich) Antoncic of Port Vue; son, Brian (Kim) Pomaibo of West Mifflin; grandchildren, Rob (Annette) Snyder of Duquesne, Karrie Munz of Duquesne, Haley Pomaibo of West Mifflin, Erin Negrette of N. Huntingdon and Jamie Versetti of West Mifflin also 6 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by son, William T. Pomaibo, Jr., siblings, Maryann Doughtery, Dolores Smitko, Susan DeFelice, Shirley Karlovsky and Michael Pomaibo.

He was born on Aug. 16, 1929, the son of the late Walter and Julia (Kuttles) Brooks and husband of the late Virginia D’Antonio. Anthony retired from National Tube US Steel where he was a foreman. He was a member of White Oak American Legion, the McKeesport Gun Club, Renzie Seniors, and attended Life Span in Versailles often. He also loved to golf and bowl. He is survived by sons Kirk (Mary) Brooks of Ruffsdale, PA, Eric Brooks of Seattle, WA; sister Pearl (Edward) Stanko of N. Versailles; also 4 grandchildren. Robert L. Gogo, Jr., age 40, of Duquesne, died September 3, 2016. He was born in McKeesport on March 30, 1976 and is the son of Robert L. and Cheryl A. Pearce Gogo of North Versailles. He was a full time police officer for the City of Duquesne since 2005, and a part time police officer in East McKeesport. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #91, the PNA Lodge #352 in McKeesport, and the Glassport Club 22. He loved boating and riding his motorcycle. He was a firefighter and EMT with the former Sunset Central Department in North Versailles.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son; Robert Lee Gogo, III, and his son’s mother, Jamie Dinkfelt with whom he resided, sisters; Jennifer (Rick) Martino of White Oak, Erin (Tony) Carr of North Huntingdon, nieces and nephews; Nicholas, Madison, Anthony, Caroline, and Julian.
