On Thursday April 11, 2024, George Henry Evans Jr., 75, a proud Marine and Vietnam Veteran passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Beloved son of the late George Henry Evans Sr., and Ellen Elizabeth Byrnes. Loving father of Tricia Evans and Tammy Barbaro,. Dear grandfather of Theresa Simlick, Anthony Barbaro, and Ellen (Giovanni), Valldejuli, Great grandfather of, Parker Boyd and Anthony Barbaro, Brother of Catherine Fischetti.
Also survived by nieces and nephews, Dana O’Leary, Lori Conley, Frankie (Megan) Fischetti, and great nieces and nephews Thomas, Kenneth, Daniel, Kevin, Alaina, Sean, Frankie Jr, Mia, Gianna, Avery, and McKellen. George served our country courageously during the Vietnam War andworked as corrections officer at Western Penitentiary until he retired. George will be missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Cornell David McFarland, 62, died February 15, 2024. He was born at McKeesport Hospital on June 18, 1961. He was the sixth child of Woodrow and Evelyn McFarland. He was baptized and an active member of Morningstar Baptist Church in Clairton, PA. He sang in the Youth and Junior Church Choir. At an early age he played baseball for the Clairton Junior Roysters and football for the Clairton Youth Football League.
During his high school years, he played football for the Clairton Bears. He went on to graduate from Clairton High School in 1979. After graduation, he worked as a US Steel Mill Worker for several years. He was blessed with his first son Lance Henderson. Cornell then moved to Long Beach, CA in 1985, where he met his lovely wife, Martha. They were blessed to have three sons together Jermaine, Jermey, Jeremiah, and a bonus son Lamont.
Cornell began his career as a warehouse worker and forklift driver for several companies in Long Beach. He was a dedicated worker and took pride in his job. He was a member of Love Unlimited Community Church where he was on the Usher Board. Cornell was a nice and gentle man who loved his family and friends. He enjoyed family gatherings, barbequing in the backyard for his church, and watching the Steelers with his brother Jimmy.
He left a lasting impression on everyone who he met. He was lovable, kind, and had a great sense of humor. Cornell was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Terry Clark, and sons Jermey and Jeremiah.

Mary Catherine Nebinski, age 85, of West Mifflin, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Jefferson Hospital. Born in Homestead, PA on May 22, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine (Bost) Noll.
She was a former supervisor for S&S Shoes in McKeesport and a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-St. Agnes Church. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She loved taking care of her family and cooking.
Mary Catherine is the wife of Richard T. Nebinski for 60 years. She is the mother of Richard (Terri) Nebinski of Scottdale, Robert Nebinski of West Mifflin, and Donna (Bobby) Kleist of West Mifflin; grandmother of Philip (Meghan) Lepolt, Courtney (Shawn) Kleist, Nicholas (Maria) Kleist, and Jake Nebinski; great grandmother of Sage Michael Hone; twin sister of Judy Cramer of Baltimore, MD and sister of Joanne (late Ronald) Connelly of North Carolina. She is also survived by niece Judy and nephew Billy and other nieces and nephews.
There is no visitation. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Agnes Church, West Mifflin, on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Dan D’Antonio officiating. James Stephen Makosey, 88, of Irwin, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024. He was born August 19, 1935 in McKeesport and was the son of the late John and Mary (Telesko) Makosey. He was the husband of the late Ellen (Gross) Makosey who passed away February 15, 2019. They were married for 55 years. Jim was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and served as a pilot in the USAF Air National Guard. He worked at the Bettis Atomic Power Lab, Latrobe Steel and was a manager at the Harbison Walker Research Center in West Mifflin. He co-founded McKeesport Auto Body, owned and operated a classic car dealership, and carried out industrial consulting. He was very proud of the home that he built for Ellen's and his retirement. He was a great husband and father, loved to joke and pull pranks. He had a lifelong passion for golf and classic cars.
