Agnes C. Rushe, 102, of Glassport, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 24, 2018.  She was born in Birmingham, AL on January 13, 1916 to the late Robert and Bertha Veitch Tachoir.  Agnes was the loving wife of the late William L. Rushe.  She is survived by daughters, JoAnn Rushe, Ruth Rushe, and Agnes Barrett all of Glassport; sons, Robert (Lori) Rushe of Duquesne, Ralph Rushe of New Baltimore, MI; sister, Frances Shultz of Duquesne; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.  Along with her parents and husband, Agnes was preceded in death by sons, Tommy, Terry & Bill Rushe; and siblings, Robert, Leo, Tom, Jack, Pat, Joe, Forest Tachoir, Catherine Odoski, & Lois White. Mary Raisner, 89, of McKeesport, formerly of Glassport for 76 years, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at John J. Kane Regional Center in McKeesport.  She was born March 23, 1929 in Glassport to the late John and Mary Bednar Popovich.  Mary was the loving wife of the late Lawrence Raisner who passed away in 1992.  She is survived by sisters, Elizabeth Smoot of McKeesport, Anna Stanko of McKeesport, Helen (Thomas Andrews) McBurney of North Huntingdon; special niece, Mary Moonis of North Huntingdon; many other nieces and nephews.  Along with her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by son, Larry L. Raisner; sister, Irene Dunlop; brothers, John, Mike, Andrew, Stephen and Joseph Popovich.  She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in McKeesport and worked in the cafeteria at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic School for 36 years.  Visitation will take place Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 4 – 8 pm (Enlightenment Service at 7) at E. Arcolina “Carole” Ann Folino Angotti, 86, of Baldwin, formerly of Clairton, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Lawson’s Personal Care Home in Jefferson Hills.  She was born July 31, 1931, in McKeesport, to the late Frank and Mariangela Vescio Folino.  She was the loving wife of 40 yrs. to the late Joseph P. Angotti who passed away in 1993.  Carole is survived by daughters, Angela (Richard) Jenkins & Paula Gori both of Clairton, Sandra Smaniotto of Uniontown, Debbie (Earl) Kleckner of McMurray; grandchildren, Frankie, Richard, Jennifer, Gina (Jason), Melanie, Angela, E.J., Natalie; great-grandchildren, Dejah, Nikko, Gisele, Anton, Mason, Bella, Tyler, Zander; sister, Grace McGrew of Greensburg and brother, Bernard Folino and many nieces and nephews.  Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Eva DeMaio, Frances Folino, and Virginia Luft. Mildred Besedich Hughes

 Mildred (Millie) (Milka) Besedich Hughes, 100, of Dravosburg passed into eternal rest on June 29, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born March 24, 1918 in Youngstown, Ohio to Jovan and  Kata Besedich, the family later moved to the coal mining town (#9) of Farmington, West Virginia. In 1942, she left home to support the war effort working in the Akron Goodyear factory making barrage balloons. She married Elmer Hughes in 1945 and they moved to Dravosburg in 1956.

She owned and operated Hughes Grill for 14 years. She was famous for the Friday fish sandwiches. After selling the business, Millie worked for K-Mart retiring in 1989 after 15 years. Consistent with her love for caring for others, Millie delivered for Meals on Wheels for 20 years until age 92. She was a member of Amity Presbyterian Church for 60 years and served as an elder.

Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, her parents, her sisters Olga Myers, Mary Chickrell, Malava Blanton, Josephine Flannery, Virginia Davis, Kay Stache, her brothers Drago Besedich and Dan Besedich and her grandson Brian Weddle. She is survived by and was the beloved mother of Ron Hughes, Marcia (Phil) Weddle and Diana (Ron) Etzel; cherished grandmother of Christopher Weddle, Eric (Heidi) Weddle, Jessica Etzel and Allison Etzel; great-grandmother of Philip (Aubree) Brown, Hazel and Ayler Weddle; great-great grandmother of Gavin and Marlie Brown; and loving sister of Helen Lockwood. Millie also leaves behind nieces, nephews, friends and her faithful dog, Buddy.

She loved her family and her home. She loved to cook, bake, garden, crochet and walk her puppies. She was a loyal friend and neighbor.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at I.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 203 4th Street, Dravosburg, PA 15034. Service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Amity Presbyterian Church, 400 Euclid Avenue, Dravosburg, PA 15034 and continue with a graveside service at Jefferson Memorial Park. James "Buddha" Harvey

James “Jim” “Buddha” Clair Harvey, 57, of West Mifflin, formerly of Clairton, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Jefferson Hills Manor.  He was born February 2, 1961 in Frankfurt, Germany   to the late Charles Wilford Harvey and Rosemary Siler Harvey Petrisko.  James is survived by daughter, Brittany Harvey of Vandergrift; brothers, Vincent (Valerie) Harvey of Greenock, Charles (Kerry) Evans of Finleyville; sisters, Virginia (Joseph) Nehila of West Mifflin, Mary Jo Harvey of Dravosburg, Charlene (Scott) Hart Snyder of Dubois; 4 nephews, 2 nieces; great-nieces, Audrey, Leonnah, Ja’layah and great-nephew Parker.  He was a lifelong EMT and fireman having close ties with the departments in West Elizabeth, Clairton, Dravosburg where he was Fire Chief, and Duquesne where he was Assistant Chief. It is with sadness in their hearts that the family of Donald Hickman announces his passing, and entrance into eternal life on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was a devoted, caring, and dedicated family man and will be deeply missed by his loved ones.  He was born in Dravosburg on December 4, 1930 to the late Adam and Myra Leadbeater Hickman.  Donald will be greatly missed by his loving wife, of 67 wonderful years, Mary Lou; children, Daniel Hickman, Patty (Gerald) Tedesco, Karen (Bryan) Snodgrass; grandchildren, Gerald (Kristen) Tedesco Jr., Jonathan (Robyn) Tedesco, Jamie (William) Dugas, Kylie Snodgrass, Alyssa Snodgrass, Jacob Snodgrass; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Tristan, Marisa, Dominic and Isabella, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.  Along with his parents, Donald was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 1 sister.  Donald was a lifelong resident of Dravosburg, and a graduate of McKeesport High School.  He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict, was retired from US Steel Research Lab in Monroeville in 1984, and owned and operated the distributorship for the McKeesport Daily News and Pittsburgh Press in Dravosburg for 40 years. Don was a devout Christian his entire life, leading many people to understand God’s love for them.  He was an accomplished baseball pitcher for McKeesport High School, many local sandlot teams, and Mitchell Air Force Base.   In 1953, he was offered to try-out for the Pittsburgh Pirates.  The family is especially grateful for the exceptional kindness, concern and care from all of his caregivers, especially Caitlin Sostaric and Alexa Paranzino, his primary caregivers.  Visitation will take place Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 1 – 8 pm at I. Reitzel Sr. who passed away in 1991.  Judith is survived by daughter; Amanda (Kevin Shetterly) M. Reitzel Clous of Finleyville; sons, Raymond T. Reitzel Jr. of Eighty Four, Thomas L. Reitzel of Bethel Park, Timothy A. Reitzel of Jefferson Hills; grandchildren Michael, Justin, Timmy Jr., Paige, Tommy Jr.; brother, James (Linda) Bane of Peters Township; and sister Agnes Bane of Clairton.  Along with her parents and husband, Judith was preceded in death by daughter, Patricia; brother, Robert Bane; and sister Jerilyn Bane Simo. She was a member of St. Paulinus Church in Clairton, was retired from West Jefferson Hills School District's Custodial Department, enjoyed cooking, gardening and the outdoors.
