Jean L. Florek, 73, of Irwin, died Sunday February 19, 2017 at home. She was born September 23, 1943 in Penn, a daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha (Beers) Garlow. She was a retired certified nursing assistant for Golden Living Center, Murrysville. She is loved and will be greatly missed by her husband George Florek; her children Lisa (Ron) Angel of Glenshaw, Tammy (Tom) Sullivan of North Huntingdon, and Rob (Romi) Swank of Greensburg; her grandchildren Lauren and Elizabeth Angel, Samantha and Andrew Sullivan, Nicole (Jon) Kwaczala, and James Harbulak; her great granddaughter Cassy Kwaczala; her sisters Judy Harrity of Latrobe and Deborah (Keith) Bruggeman of Level Green; also loved by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Daniel B. Lawrence, officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff at Wm Penn Care Center and Medi Home Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers a contribution can be made in Jean’s name to Susan G.
