Sandra L. Simpson, 69, of North Huntingdon, died Tuesday January 24, 2017. She was born April 10, 1947 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late William Jesse and Julia E. (Puspoki) Simpson. She was a graduate of Norwin High School and Clarion University and was a retired elementary teacher for the Norwin School District. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Irwin, and a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association.

She is survived by her siblings, Judith Crescenzo of North Huntingdon, Donna (Daniel) Carey of Sligo, and Terri Lee Simpson of Pittsburgh; nephews, Steven Crescenzo (Barb Bajcic), Joseph (Paula) Carey, and Colin Carey (Caitlin Smith); an aunt Mildred Redding; also cousins. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Dr. Clifton J. Suehr, officiating. The family would like to thank Dr. Clark Kerr and Dr. Reddy Polam for all the family support and compassionate care.
