Clara Mae (Hobaugh) Janicki, age 87, of Blaine Hill and formerly of Port Orange, FL, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at home. She was a member and former deacon assistant at the Elizabeth Baptist Church and a former associate member at the New Hope Baptist Church in Port Orange, FL. She was a member of the choir at both churches, enjoyed gardening and cooking and was famous for her cabbage rolls. Her family and friends often referred to her as a Prayer Warrior. Born January 4, 1935 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Clarence H. and Mary (Kadar) Hobaugh. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Alfred Janicki; children, Daryl (Cathy) Janicki of Lake Frederick, VA, Debra Bender of Delmont, Mark (Susan) Janicki of Lockhart, TX and Lisa Janicki of Blaine Hill; grandchildren, Eric Janicki, Jason (Olga) Janicki, Nadia (Timothy) Speney, Miranda (Sean) Floor, Chad (Samantha) Bender, Rebecca (Jesse) Janicki, David Janicki and Michelle Janicki; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, George Hobaugh of Bunola and Allen Hobaugh of Elizabeth; her cat, Graycie; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph Hobaugh and Clarence Hobaugh, Jr. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth, on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jude Urso officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp.
