Heather M. Dervin, 26, of North Huntingdon, died Saturday September 10, 2016 at home. She was born October 26, 1989 in Monroeville, the daughter of Max D. Dervin (step mother Karen) and Diane (Lovas) Mardell (step father Dennis). Heather was a graduate of Norwin High School, class of 2008. Her interests were in culinary arts, drawing, writing, and poetry. She loved cats and was a huge Pittsburgh Penguins fan. She is a granddaughter of the late Jack and Pauline Dervin and Chuck and Patti Sasse.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her brothers Matthew Dervin of Kennedy Township and Tyler Dervin stationed in Alaska with the U.S. Air Force; uncles and aunt, Bennie Dervin (Betsy Prybyloski), Paul Dervin, Allen Dervin, Barry (Alyssa) Dervin, Greg (Kathy) Lovas, Cindy (Jim) Shoff, and David (Debbie) Lovas; and cousins, Eben, Tara, Jackie, and Jack Dervin, Zach, Jonathan, and Benjamin Lovas, Christopher (Ramie) Shoff, and Chelsea Shoff (Adam Holbert). Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the William Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Deacon Steve Kisak officiating.
