 John "Big John" "Yuno" Durik Jr., 80, of Duquesne, formerly of West Mifflin, died peacefully at home on September 8, 2016. Born October 25, 1935, in Connecticut, he was the son of the late John and Sophia (Mayton) Durik Sr. He was a retired Guard at the Allegheny County Jail, former employee of U.S. Steel Corporation, Duquesne Works, past two term president of Steelworkers Local 1256, and a member of Duquesne Masonic Lodge #731.

Mr. Durik is survived by two sons, Matthew (Donna) Durik of Duquesne and John (Charise) Durik of Clinton, three daughters, Debora Liptac of Port Vue, Beth Schmitz of Glassport, and Heidi Fairchild of Baltimore, Md., and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received from 1-4 P.M. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home, Richford and Commonwealth Ave., Duquesne.
