Alice M. Beard, age 78, of McCandless Twp., formerly of North Huntingdon, died on Monday, November 1, 2021. She was born in McKeesport on June 13, 1943 and is the daughter of the late Elmer and Helen Haughey Beard.  After earning her Master’s Degree, she was employed as a Chemist at the VA Hospital in Witchita, Kansas.

She is survived by cousins, Nancy Iacobucci of North Hills; Donna (Ray) Heatherington of Oriental, North Carolina; John Beard of Leesburg, Florida; Greg Haughey of Butler; Margaret (Albert) Slafka of Fort Mill, South Carolina, and other cousins.

Family and friends may gather at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 9:30 am until 11:00 a.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 200 Leger Road, North Huntingdon, 15642 at 11:30 a.m.  Burial will follow.

Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 200 Leger Road, Irwin, PA  15642.
