Ruth A. (McSteen) Likar, 75, of North Huntingdon, died Tuesday July 26, 2016, at home. She was born January 13, 1941 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Francis and Lillian (Mitchell) McSteen and was also preceded in death by two brothers, William and Robert McSteen, and a sister, Helen McSteen. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, North Huntingdon, and formerly active with the Penn’s Woods Civic Association.

She is survived by her husband of fifty four years, Gerald T. Likar; her children, Teresa Griffiths and her husband Jim, Kathy Parry and her husband Jerry, and Gerald W. Likar all of North Huntingdon; her former daughter in law Carla Likar; her grandchildren, Kimberly Griffiths (Joseph Kiraly), Paul Griffiths, Megan (Eric) Lipp, Natalie Parry and Corbin and Izabelle Likar; her great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Tyler, and Jayce; a sister Carol Nawrocki of Shaler; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a blessing service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution can be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
