Grady McCray, 69 years old of Clairton, Pennsylvania, peacefully departed this life July 14, 2016 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

He was born March 9, 1947 in Levesque Parish, AR, son of the late Grady McCray Sr. and Katie Duncan.

Grady was an excellent carpenter! He loved to build, repair, and remodel. He had completed all of the repairs and additions around the family home.

He was a member of the St. Joseph Lodge #9, Clairton, PA where he previously served as the Past Worshipful Master and was also a member of the Most Wishful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Ancient York Rite Masons of Pennsylvania National Compact.

He retired from Clairton Works where he worked as a Boilermaker.

Surviving are wife Elaine McCray; daughter, Nichole L. McCray of Greentree, PA; son, Grady McCray, III of Clairton, PA; step-daughter, Evette Sales of Clairton, PA; five sisters, Lucinda Stafford of Clairton, PA, Barbara (Robert) Johnson of Wynne, AR, Bernice Jeffrey of Wynne, AR, Willa Mae (James) Ward of Jacksonville, AR, Paulette (Woodrow) Wilson of Elgin, IL; two brothers, Harry McCray of Little Rock, AR, James McCray of Tampa, FL; sisters-in-law Betty Winter and Juanita Pinkney, both of Pittsburgh, PA; uncle, Edward McCray of South Bend, IN; uncle, Edwin McCray of Memphis, TN; grandsons, Grady McCray, IV and Gavyn McCray; step-grandchildren, Brandon Dean, Jasmine Dean, Melvin Kilgore, Jr.; step great-grandchildren, Brandon Dean, Jr., Trinity Dean, Lamiera Kilgore, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.

He was preceded in death by sister, Gracie Anderson, brother, Grant McCray.

Friends will be received from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Robert A. Waters Funeral Home, 449 Mitchell Avenue, Clairton PA 15025. Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Morning Star Baptist Church, 307 Shaw Avenue, Clairton, PA 15025 Rev. Charles Wade, officiating.

Interment will follow at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Pennsylvania.

Local arrangements entrusted to the Robert A. Waters Funeral Home, Inc., Clairton, PA.
