Claire Anna (Bennett) Zinsmeister, of Irwin, formerly of N. Braddock, passed away July 14, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Wilburt and Anna (Heinen) Bennett. Claire was formerly employed by the PRR. She enjoyed traveling and spending time at her Scottyland camp with family and friends. Claire was also a proud and excellent homemaker. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, and was a past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge in N. Braddock.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of over 58 years, Robert W. Zinsmeister; brother Wilburt Bennett; and sister Jean Jenkins. She is survived by her son Robert (Louann) Zinsmeister Jr. of Harrisburg; daughter Cindy (Joe) Blasko of Irwin; grandchildren Joe (Carrie), Tim (Molly), Brian (Jen), Rob, Kristin (Bryan); and great grandchildren Sydney,Harper and Penelope. Friends and family will be received 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Forgie-Snyder Funeral Home, 1032 Broadway, East McKeesport, 412-823-8083. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, N. Versailles. Interment will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville on Tuesday at 1pm.
