Donald J. Ruhe, 79, of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital.  He was born February 14, 1941 in Duquesne, son of the late Joseph and Wilda (Forbes) Ruhe.  Prior to his retirement, Donald was a foreman for US Steel and later drove for First Student Bus Co.  for 20 years. 

He was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Viet Nam War, a member of St. Agnes and Immaculate Conception Church and was past Sergeant at Arms for Larimer VFD.  He enjoyed landscaping, golfing, hunting, fishing and loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara Rinkes Ruhe; sons, David Ruhe and Doug Ruhe and his wife, Shannon; daughters, Dawna Delaney and her husband, Brian, Deann Czopek and her husband, Mark; grandchildren, Tyler, Taylin, Ryan and Gavin.  Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Irwin with Fr. John Moineau officiating.  Interment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Duquesne.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
