Sandra B. Kresovich, 77, died Monday, December 28, 2020. Born in Fredricktown, PA on February 21, 1943, Sandy was the daughter of Daniel and Ann Ruth Battaglini and the devoted wife of the late John C. Kresovich.

Sandy attended California University of Pennsylvania where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Her career began as a third-grade teacher at Gotwall Elementary School in Wilmerding. Later she earned her Reading Specialist Certificate with her Master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and finished her 36-year teaching career with the East Allegheny School District as a 7th and 8th grade Reading teacher at both Park Terrace Middle School and East Allegheny Jr/Sr High School.

Upon her retirement in 1999, Sandy enjoyed traveling. She visited many countries in Europe, always returning to her favorite, Italy. At home, Sandy was a devoted member of Miller United Methodist Church and served on many committees. She also volunteered weekly at the East Allegheny Meals on Wheels.

Sandy will forever be remembered as a kind, caring and loving person who valued her family and her friendships. She loved following Pittsburgh sports teams and enjoyed sharing this love with her friends. Sandy’s wonderful sense of humor and beautiful smile will provide many cherished memories for those who loved her.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Anna Ruth Battaglini, her husband of over 28 years John C. Kresovich, and her sister Pamela Pegues. She is survived by her sisters Bonnie Good of Bridgeville and Arlene Demko of Fredericktown, her brother-in-law Michael Pegues and nephew Taj R. Pegues both of San Francisco, California. Sandra was also loved and will be missed by her many close friends.

The Committal service will follow at Greene County Memorial in Waynesburg. When Covid-19 is no longer threatening our lives, Sandy's friends and family will get together to celebrate her life.
